           𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲/𝐧 𝐲/𝐥/𝐧 wasn't much of a sweetheart. she possesses a strong drive to win at everything; the quidditch inter-house cup at the top of her list of priorities, way before love and relationships. she acquires the expectations of her fellow slytherins: resourcefulness, perception, and of course, ambition. along with most of the snake house, she believed in blood supremacy and believed herself to be above those of "dirty blood" as most would call them. she valued her house, wearing her emerald green robes and serpent emblem with pride, as she walked the hogwarts' grounds.

i do not own the characters and plotlines associated with the harry potter universe. all credit is owed to jk rowling. however, i would like to make it clear that i do not support her whatsoever.

i'm apologizing now for any grammar or storyline mistakes, which i know there are quite a few. i am currently editing this story (slowly), which i feel is important to note.

that being said, the comments from the unedited original chapters will remain, so they might confuse you new readers.

to warn you, cause you guys like to point out stuff, y/n is mean. like a warning: she is literally horrible lol.

to address the comments about other houses that she makes: those are literally just for the fic. to show her attitudes about the self-created superiority that she thinks she has over her fellow students for being a slytherin. i'm a gryffindor, and love all houses equally (well i may be a little bias, but who isn't?). i just wanna make that clear before y'all attack me as an author, who is just writing the house prejudices for story purposes only (just wait till chapter one. everyone literally hates me). it's for her character arc i promise !!

and you may think that having the entire plot based on the stereotype that slytherins are mean and rude, is wrong, but ron, harry and hermione all gripped onto that stereotype, so don't come at me for just using it to make a cedric diggory plotline for a fanfic okay?

this story gets better as it progresses (except the edited chapters). when i first wrote this, i hadn't read the books in a long arse time and there are quite a few little mistakes and things i regret MASSIVELY. so it's a real trust-the-process kind of thing.

i am very much aware this story is pretty shit. but please, do not comment unnecessarily rude things, because i do read them and i think people forget that sometimes.

that being said, please don't ignore the disclaimers. i get comments complaining about some petty shit, when i have already addressed all of it in the disclaimers. the book is shit — i said that. quite a few times. i don't need you to constantly point it out yourself. by me admitting it's bad, DOES NOT give YOU the right to write mean, unnecessary things that i will read.

it was 2020. i was FOURTEEN. we were all different people back then (like, i'm a whole arse adult now). we were weird, and cringey, and this fic is a product of that era. don't judge me for writing it — you're reading it x
