Trying to find Cedric was like trying to find a needle in a hay stack and frankly a lot harder than it should have been. I understand that a lot of people wanted to congratulate him, but surely anyone who wanted to, could have done it by now. It was almost 9 O'clock and the Hufflepuff common room was my last resort. It was the last possible place he could be.
The Hufflepuff common room can be accessed from the same corridor as the Hogwarts kitchens. It is hidden by a pile of large barrels, found stacked in a shadowy side of the corridor. Cedric had told me how to get in a few times, but seen as tapping on the wrong barrel, or tapping the incorrect number of times, results in one of the other lids bursting off and drenching the non-Hufflepuff in vinegar, I thought it best just to knock.
The hidden door was eventually swung open by a seventh year Hufflepuff, of which I didn't really now all that well. He seemed apparently baffled by my presence. Well, probably my green robes at that.
"Can I help you?"
"Oh yeah, can I see Cedric please?"
He looked back into the common room. I could hear the bellowing of cheers and outbreaks of laughter, even when I was on my way here. "He's sort of busy right now, so probably not."
"Oh um okay, I understand. Can you just tell him that I stopped by...please?"
"Do you expect me to know your name, snake?"
"Oh right. I'm Y/N." he nodded, still almost weirded out by me. "Okay, well I'm going to go. Just please tell him." I shrugged and walked away awkwardly as he shut the door.
This is exactly what I was afraid of happening. But it's alright; it's still recent news. He's just excited and I understand that the rest of his house are simply excited for him.

Harry's POV
I guess spending time alone had become a norm for me. No one seems to believe anything I say, and Ron couldn't be anymore of an asshole right now.
The Owlery was cold and a strong scent of bird shit, flooded my senses. It was when a large, barn owl flew in threw the space in the wall, that I had been slapped back into reality. I guess I couldn't stare at the castle from here all day. It had a small, folded slice of parchment, grasped into its beak.
Harry
I couldn't risk sending Hedwig. It was since the world cup and the ministry's been intercepting more and more owls and she's too easily recognised.
We need to talk Harry. Face to face. Meet me in the Gryffindor common room at one o clock this Saturday night and bring Y/N with you.
Sirius
P.S
The bird bites.
But before I could even read the end of the letter, the bird nipped my finger and it soon began to bleed right in front of me.

Y/N POV
"Harry Potter aged 12, suspect entrant in the Triwizard tournament. His eyes swimming with the ghosts of his past." I read out from the newest release of the Daily prophet. I scoffed, as I slammed the paper down on the table in front of me and crossed my arms. "It's ridiculous. There's no way he should have to compete."
"He put his name in the goblet, Y/N. He brought it on himself." Ava replied, applying even more lipgloss.
"You don't actually believe that, Av? I mean why would he do that?"
"Since when did you care about saint Potter anyway?" Spencer asked, biting into her apple.
"Since he has been forced to compete in a tournament he's not even of age for." I huffed.
"Speaking of the tournament, how's Diggory finding the fame, seen as you two seem to be official now." Ava winked.
"I wouldn't know. I haven't even got a word in since the selection."
"The selection was two days ago Y/N. Isn't he your boyfriend?"
"He's supposed to be." I found my eyes drifting towards him, laughing away with his new found fame.
