Judging Criteria

Anywho.
Here is the judging criteria for the judges for ROUND ONE!
Judges will judge on the first chapter (prologue too if there is one), cover and description of the story. This round is to see if people would still want to read your story after reading the very first chapter.
Now I'm no specialist but the first chapter should be one of the best chapters in the story. You need to make people want to read on further, give them a sense of curiosity. Well, our judges are judging just that.
Judging Criteria:
Cover:
•mark out of 3 depending on;
-how good the cover looks
-how much the cover relates to the story
Description:
•mark out of 5 depending on;
-how intriguing/interesting the description is.
- how much it makes you want to read on.
Prologue/First Chapter:
•mark out of 15 depending on;
-how accurate the spelling/grammar is.
-how intriguing/interesting it is.
-how generally great the writing is.
-if you would read the rest of the story.
Total Mark: /23
*Some judges may even write short reviews, even one or two sentences long, about the story from the first round if they will*
Judges must PM me the results for each story they have been given (the scores for each story) by the 2nd of October. It would be so much better though, if you sent me each score for each story (e.g. Each cover score, each description score, each chapter score).
will then choose the top scores of the whole genre with the help of he_he_ and choose the stories going into round two. So none of you judges will have to choose, I'll pick the stories from the scores.
