When I finally woke up, I found myself back in the tatami mat room. Sleeping beside me without a blanket was Dan. I could see what looked to be tear stains on his face. Had he waited for me to wake up?

I nudged him. "Wake up, D. I know that it's summer, but this forest is cooler than elsewhere. You might get sick."

"A-Alex?" Big bro Dan mumbled as he opened one eye. He jumped and hugged me. "Alex!"

"Too tight!" I yelled, squirming.

"S-sorry," he said, letting go of me. He smiled and wiped away the new tears forming in his eyes. "I'm just glad that you're alright. Your temperature was rather high."

I glanced around. We were the only ones around.

"Where did everyone else go?"

"M-Mom went to get medicine. S-she sent Dad to find Hideo and Ki." He lowered his head. "T-think that I got them in trouble."

I frowned. Was it because they didn't accompany me like they said they would? 

Hopefully he, Layla, and Big bro Sy don't get punished too.
