"Who is Dan?" Elliot asked.

I lowered my head. "He's my older brother."

He scratched his head. "I thought you only had two big brothers."

"I do now," I said, turning away. "Sorry again, for trying to force you to speak."

A hand grabbed my arm. "I'm not mad at you anymore. Plus, feel that I'm the one who should apologize. I made you mad and now sad." He looked at me with those dog-like eyes of his.

I sighed. "Don't blame yourself about the latter. I'm the one who brought up my family."

"How was he, Dan?" Elliot asked as he let go of my arm.

I blinked. "You aren't going to ask what happened to him?"

He shook his head. "I'll admit, I'm curious, but a person is better remembered by how they lived, not by how they perished."

I smiled slightly. Elliot usually had an upbeat look on life. That was why seeing him get the way he did at the dining room annoyed me.

"He was very kind, though also very naive. Most would consider him shy, but whenever he was playing Mystic, his eyes would light up. His shy side would melt away and reveal the true Dan."

"What's Mystic?" Elliot asked.

"It's a card game from Zionia. I have heard that it spread to parts of this Xeleria, but guess that Xian isn't one of them."

"Yeah, I guess not."

"Let's go back to our room," I said.

"Huh? What for?"

I smiled. "I got a story to tell."
