Chapter three
He walked over to the other side of the room and opened up a chest.
"Come here." He said motioning to me to come over. I quickly obeyed and went over to him.
"You see this?" He said showing me an armor set. The armor was black, and from the mask was also evidently an assassin's.
"Yes, what is it?"
"It's an armor set you, idiot!" He said smacking me forehead.
"Ow! That hurt!" I said rubbing my forehead where he smacked me.
"Well, then you shouldn't be an idiot!"
"I know it an armor set, but why are you showing it to me?"
"I'm showing it to you because you are apparently the best player in the game. And as such you have unlocked a secret area. If you are able to defeat the final boss. Do you accept this quest?" He said, staring at me waiting for my answer.
"What is the final boss?" I asked, deciding I should find out what I was up against before I accepted the quest.
"I am not at liberty to discuss that information unless you accept the quest."
"Can you tell me anything about the boss before I accept the quest?"
"No."
"Ah, fine then, I accept the quest!" I said annoyed by the lack of information he was giving me.
"Your quest book has been updated, the boss is a powerful witch named Xantha Ebonywood. To find her go west till you find a small shack with an old man in it, he will give you further instructions." He said his lifeless eyes staring at me. Sometimes in this world, it is easy to forget that these are nothing but code, that they aren't people.
I look at my clock before I headed out, it read 02:00. Shit, I thought to myself, tomorrow is Saturday and I have to go to work! I guess I'll have to log off for the night, but at least I'll get to see Brandon! And make money! Work isn't that bad I guess...

I woke up early the next morning and got ready for work, today it was just me and Brandon working. I enjoyed days like this with just me and Brandon, Brandon was my best friend, he was also my only friend but that does not mean he isn't a good friend! Brandon is the best, he buys me coffee, talks to me, that got really depressing really fast... Brain, stop thinking negative thoughts would you!
I walked into the coffee shop I worked at. It was small but beautiful, vintage photos of the coffee shop back in the day lined the chocolate-brown walls, a few hipsters sat with their books, probably dissing Starbucks for being too mainstream. Brandon was already here, smiling as usually, I don't think I've ever seen him not smile.
"Hey!" I say as a walk behind the counter ready to start work.
"Hi! Hows your week been?" He said finishing writing someone's name on the cup and handing it to me.
"Pretty good actually." If you ignore most of it...
"Great!" He said as I started making some guy name Jack's drink.
