"So what you are saying," Kuroo said slowly, "is that both of you are 'bird gang' and I'm not?"

Daichi shook his head fervently while Bokuto was doing the exact opposite. "That's right!"

"I'm not involved in this decision making," Daichi interjected quickly.

"Wait, no, I take full offense to that," Kuroo said, ignoring the Karasuno's captain. "Why can't I join this gang?"

Bokuto shrugged. "You're a Nekoma, bro. Nothing we can do about it."

"Bro. Because Nekoma is a cat? I can't join the 'bird gang'?"

Daichi was looking at both of them incredulously. Were they seriously debating this? Over birds?

"Exactly, bro. Karasuno is a crow and Fukurodani is an owl. So we are 'bird gang'!" Bokuto enthusiastically said, half-choking Daichi who was in his embrace while doing so.

"Leave me out of this!"

"I thought we were friends, bro?" Kuroo asked pitifully, once again ignoring the other.

"We are, bro. Just not this one," Bokuto answered emphatically, patting Kuroo's shoulder with the hand that wasn't currently still choking the shorter captain.

Daichi's eyebrows pinched in the middle of his forehead, observing the other two re-enacting what is likely to be a soap opera scene, because of school mascots.

This friendship should've come with a cancellation form.
