Day 117

Weeks have passed and we are getting closer to the hard part while Naomi's punishment will be over soon.

"Markus," I call out to him while passing by him. He freezes in his tracks and looks at me.

"Aelen, something the matter?"

"Do you know what Naomi likes?"

His eyebrows raised. "Was there a Secret Santa thing I haven't been told about?"

I chuckle. "No. I was wondering since Naomi will be stressed beyond belief and I wanted to make sure to ease her."

He stares at me still in a daze. "For the past decade as she was my caretaker, she loves trolling with her abilities, and should you be helping put her at ease after this crap is over?"

"Nah," I shake my head, "Just got to be with her."

"Hold on a second," an invisible wall hits him, "Do you have a crush on her?"

"Uhhhhh- Maybe," I said nervously with a smirk.

"Seriously? You've been with Domin, Ive, Blath, and what's her face for several years in your life and you like my niece, who's only been with you for a few weeks?"

"Yeah. I did fancy Dominique for a little while, but she wasn't interested in me."

"Is it because she is not totally a human?" He asks suspiciously.

"No."

He stares at me.

"Look, I am not going to go deeper until after this war is over if that's what you were worried about."

He sighs. "Remember, Nao can look after herself, but I also don't know how she's going to behave. She has been with Teketa far too long. If Bracus wasn't so desperate, he would've let us be home by now. I can't blame the poor Alpha."

"Okay, carry on."

That didn't go as well as previously expected. How about I write something sweet for Naomi for a while until things get serious again? She will definitely love that. Nah... I shall hold it off when things settle. It's best not to mess her over when she is masquerading as the enemy.
