Heroing (Short)
Your POV
It has been two weeks since I've found Vulture. She has gained enough information to start a buisness that takes care of software issues and sells a security program. She has also made some mobile games that when combined with her buisness makes her a good chunk of money. We've also made a little hero team/duo called "Metal Malformations", an idea suggested by Nezu. We also got hero licenses. Neat.
Currently we were patroling around a park at night when we heard cries. We each activated our holoforms, Union bodycameras placed on our chests. They turned on as we exited our vehicle modes. We sommoned our weapons, Vulture's being shields on her arms and legs, along with a cannon held like a minigun. We rushed to the cries to find a middle aged man beating a young girl with a guitar, a dead puppy layed dead nearby.
"Hand's up!" I ordered. The man looked to us before taking out a pistol with rage in his eyes. Vulture shot him, hitting his left arm which held the gun. The shot blew his forearm off, blood went flying and jagged pieces of meat still hanged on by a thread. "Carterize him! I'll deal with the kid!" I said. Vulture nodded before going over to the man. She pulled out a torch while I kneeled down to the young girl.
"Hey kid, are you awake?" I said, looking at her wounds. "Y-Yes." She said, tears in her eyes that stared straight forward. Natrual blindness. "This is Trench, I'm in the park with a battered girl, and a injured man. Get the police here aswell." I told the dispatcher on my radio. They responded as I applied aid to the girl. "What's your name kid." I asked. "B-Bonnie. Bonnie Guru." She answered.
"What happened Bonnie? What's the cause of this?" I asked, bandaging her left leg. "I didnt make any A's." She said. "What?" I asked in astonishment. She didnt get to say more before cops and an ambulance came. Vulture handed the man over to the cops who put him in a time field to keep him alive. The paramedics came over to me and the Bonnie. "We'll take it from here hero. Good work." One said as I stepped back.
The police took our statements before Bonnie and the man were taken away. The dog and a few cops stayed to secure the crime scene. Me and Vulture then went back to patroling. "It seems violence speads everywhere." Vulture said. "It always does. That's why we must keep back the dark, or else it will overwelm everything." I responded. "I dont get it, why commit crimes when heros are everywhere?" Vulture asked.
"Because of many things. Anger, reveange, and some get away with it." I answer. We then set off. We continued to patrol around for a bit before we noticed something to the side. A warehouse for sale. It was close to the park, had it's own parking lot, and had a security fence. I took note of the for sale number before leaving. The rest of the night was spent being a hero, and helping the odd person here and there.
But what never left me was the thought of Bonnie. I wonder what's happening to her now, and what will happen. By sun rise we exited the city, going back to base. We entered the base, unaware that we were followed.
(575 Words. I had the better half of this chapter don for a bit, just never got around to updating it.)
