Warning: not edited sorry! i didn't get any time 😩 your author is working super hard these days <3
___
arriving in front of the building, jungkook pulls out his phone, directly ringing jiah than bothering his brother who, he knows, must be busy. as he waits for the call to be answered, his linger towards the front of the building where some people are coming and going, and among them, he finds jiah as well. surprisingly, she's not alone, which makes jungkook frown. he gets off his motorcycle, watching as jiah now takes out her phone, looking at the screen, then around the place to spot jungkook.
jungkook's about to approach her, but jiah answers his call, making an eye contact, "i need a little help, jungkook." she whispers, making jungkook frown, noticing how she was trying to stay away from taehyung and not have him listening to her.
"is that dude being a jerk?" jungkook asks, "i'll just—"
"no, listen. come here and act like you've been waiting for me for the longest time. don't argue with taehyung, just get me out of here, please." she hushes out, "can you do that?"
"i can break him to pieces if he's bothering you, jiah. just tell me—"
"i will, but get me out of here right now."
"alright, just wait." he hums, bringing down his phone and gets back on his bike. he accelerates the two-wheeler, turning in jiah's direction and stops right in front of her, with a grin. "took you long enough." he glances at her, ignoring taehyung's displeased glare as jungkook leans forward and hands jiah his helmet. he then turns to face the man, smiling at jihun who is quietly sitting in his father's arms and holds out his hand, "hey, jihun. how have you been, little one?"
"let's go, ji." jiah says, taking the toddler from taehyung and sits behind jungkook.
"bye-bye daddy!" jihun waves at taehyung, making him force a smile, even though his features don't hide how pissed he is with jiah's behaviour. jungkook notices the glares as well and rolls his eyes, roaring the engine of his bike on taehyung's face and accelerates right on the spot, making a little cloud of dust rise behind the rear tyre, making taehyung cough lightly.
jungkook smirks at him through the mirror, winking in a victorious way before driving away from him. jiah looks back, taking a deep breath and adjusts jihun on her lap, "thank you, jungkook. today's been one hell of a day." she mutters.
"was it so bad?" he asks, tilting his head back just a little to hear her better over the wind and moves his left arm to bring jiah's hand forward, wrapping it loosely around his waist.
"it was." she hums, "men are pathetic."
"well, they can be." jungkook chuckles and jiah heaves out another deep breath, "what do you wanna do now?"
"i don't know, i feel like i need a drink. but— wait, you said you wanted to hit the gym right? we can do that."
"alright, cool." he nods, "so, we're going to my place. we'll workout for a while then i'll show you my amazing cooking skills. how does that sound?"
"you can cook?" jiah gasps in shock.
"yep, my hyung always asks me to cook whenever he wants to taste real homemade food."
"wow, i didn't expect you to be the guy who likes cooking."
"i don't necessarily like it. but it's a skill i enjoy once in a while."
"that's cool! what will you cook for me?" jiah grins, leaning closer to his shoulder and peeks at his face.
"whatever you like."
"uhm kimchi fried rice? with cheese...?"
"sure, and?"
"and uhm that's what i like. you can decide one dish as well. so, we both can have a good dinner."
"hm, i think we can do some grilled pork belly and chicken noodle soup with it?"
"yes! amazing! i'll help you." jiah nods quickly.
jungkook smiles at her through the mirror, accelerating the bike more, startling her a little and stick to his back, which has jungkook grinning proudly. by the time jungkook takes her home, jiah's son has already fallen asleep from being in her arms and the wind brushing against him.
"ji's sleeping," jiah whispers to jungkook, getting an instant look from him as they're heading to the living room.
"you can lay him down," jungkook says softly, nodding his head for her to follow and leads her upstairs, opening the door of one of the many rooms. "come," he says. jiah enters after him, looking around the room before placing jihun on the bed carefully. the toddler whimpers a little, moving in his place, his hands extending out in search of his mother.
"mamma's here, ji. you can sleep." she assures him, patting over his tummy and leans down to peck his lips, "sleep well." she whispers with a smile, getting up and brings the pillows on his either side so he won't fall down.
jungkook sits on the bed as well, admiring the sleeping baby and smiles, holding jihun's cute little hand, "he's so cute," jungkook mumbles, "and so small."
"that's because he's still just a baby." jiah chuckles at him, standing up and takes jungkook's hand, "let's go."
"yeah, but are you sure he'll be fine here by himself?" jungkook asks, glancing at jihun.
"uhm i guess? when he wakes up, he'll cry for me. and then we'll know that our time is up."
jungkook lets out an light airy laugh at that, throwing his arm around jiah as they start heading out of the room, "i'll tell someone from the staff to watch over him." he says, stumbling down the stairs with jiah's support, making her laugh as she tries pushing his arm away and get him to walk properly.
"hey, eugene," jungkook stops by in front a guy who is much older than them, making jiah hesitate a little but bows to him out of respect. jungkook smiles at the gesture for eugene bows at her too, telling the girl that he's just a staff member and she doesn't need to bow.
"but you're older than me...?" jiah says nervously, getting a warm smile from the man.
"okay, now eugene. there's jiah's son sleeping in the guest room. please watch over him, and if he cries or anything, bring him to us. we'll be in the gym." jungkook says.
"yes, sir." eugene nods assuringly, taking his leave, and jungkook takes jiah down to the basement.
he pulls his t-shirt over his head, then stops abruptly glancing at jiah, who has a semi formal attire on with office skirt and a white top tucked inside. "do you wanna change?" he asks.
"uhm i'll have to. but how?"
jungkook hums at the obvious answer and walks over to the side, sliding the cupboard door open and pulls out a t-shirt, "this is the smallest size i have. and about the lowers, you'll have to adjust." he says, tossing the t-shirt and one of his joggers in her direction, which she catches successfully.
"do you ever have girls over?" jiah asks, casually freeing her hair and does them into a bun, before pulling out her top from the skirt.
"are you gonna change here?" jungkook gulps, staring at her with wide eyes.
"you didn't seem to have a problem when you took off your shirt?" she arches up a brow at him, making him sigh.
"okay fine," he says, trying his best not to stare when she pulls off the top above her head, leaving herself in a black bra and the skirt, hugging her tiny waist. "damn..." jungkook can't help but whisper, his eyes betraying him being settled on jiah's body. suddenly he frowns at the girl as turns to her side, picking up the t-shirt, about to pull it down.
"wait, fuck..." he steps closer, "you have a tattoo on your back..." he hushes and hears jiah chuckling as she nods, finding the holes of the t-shirt she's supposed to wear. jungkook takes the short lived moment, admiring the ink embedded in her skin along the curve of her spine. it's an arrow with three phases of moon on the top, and the rest at the bottom, and stars and flowers along the length of the arrow. the most fascinating thing for jungkook is that the flowers are actually roses, red in color, and even the moon is shaded like the natural grey and black and stars are some white and some black.
his time is up and he realises it when the tattoo is suddenly covered by the black fabric of the t-shirt that belongs to him. he smiles softly, stepping next to jiah as she picks up the joggers now. "leave it, let's sit down and talk." he says, getting a glance from the girl.
"why? you don't wanna watch me change?"
"oh, i'd love to." he sighs dramatically, "but tell me about that tattoo. it's beautiful, an—and y'know i always say you're gorgeous, but this thing now, baby, i can't tell how much i love body art and how i appreciate people who respect body art. you're just simply perfect. i've never— like— wow!" he breathes out and jiah laughs at him, turning to face him and pats his shoulder.
"relax, jeon. i see you getting nervous." she teases him.
"it's you." he stares at her, "you never fail to mesmerize me."
"thank you," she giggles, making him sit on the stretcher and sits beside him. "you have tattoos too, and i honestly like them. i always liked tattoos. and y'know what? i think i'm gonna get more some day."
"really? what, and where?"
jiah looks down at her hands and arms, then sighs shrugging her shoulders, "i don't know yet. and i'm not gonna do it anytime soon, but yeah maybe in future if some things go as i plan...?"
jungkook hums, suddenly chuckling softly as he looks at jiah, "do we really work out? how are you feeling?"
"not pissed anymore." jiah admits, "but yeah, let's at least exercise a little?"
"alright," jungkook nods, leaning back with the support of his arm on the space next to him and grins at her, "get rid of your skirt and put that on."
"yeah, right, mr despo." she scrunches up her face, while tugging the t-shirt down on her body and mocks at jungkook for it reaches till her thighs, means there is nothing that he can see. he chuckles at her standing up and cups her face, leaning closer as he presses his lips on her cheek.
"you're adorable," he says, never looking down as she wiggles a little, trying to tug the skirt down, but keeps holding his gaze with a playful glint in her eyes. "but you have to be crazy to change like that in front of me. or in front of anyone whom you just claim to be friends with."
"don't look down." she ignores his words, fear flashing in her features for a mere second as she realises she doesn't have the pants in her hands. she looks behind jungkook, and sighs seeing the pair of joggers lying on the bench where she they were just sitting.
jungkook follows the gaze and picks it up for her, handing it to her and heads towards the treadmill, letting her get dressed properly. although in a quick second, he's turning around again, frowning on seeing why jiah is groaning and jumping in her place. "what are you doing?"
"look at this," she says, pointing down at her legs as she's standing with the fabric under her feet for the size is too big that there's so much of extra fabric despite the drawstrings tightly holding the joggers around her waist.
"you're small," jungkook laughs at her, crouching down near her feet, placing his one knee on the floor and lifts up her leg. he rests her heel on his thigh, pulling up the extra fabric of the joggers and folds it to bring it till her ankles, so she won't trip and fall. "better?" he asks, once he has fixed both the sides and lets his eyes run up her body clad in big, over-sized clothes that are his.
"yeah, but in these clothes all i feel like i wanna do is sleep. it's comfortable." jiah says, hugging herself over the t-shirt and jungkook stands up, shaking his head. he leads her to the boxing ring instead of the treadmill he earlier thought of doing. taking out his boxing gloves, he hands them to jiah and gestures towards the punching bag.
"i know you don't know boxing, but you at least know how to punch and kick right? do that. do whatever that you can't do on regular days to vent out your frustration. and while you're doing this, talk to me. tell me what happened today? you looked stressed when you walked out with taehyung." jungkook says, standing beside her as he puts on the gloves on her hands, securing the velcro tightly around the wrists, then closes her gloves firmly into a fist. "keep them tight."
jiah hums, glancing down at her hands and takes a deep breath, throwing a hard punch on the punching bag, getting a smile from jungkook. "good, go again." so she does, taking a few more hits continuously before stepping back and brushes the free strands of her hair outside her face.
"park jimin is so fucking stupid." she grits out, punching again and jungkook chuckles, nodding his head. "he called me to offer me money and have me back. that dude is so— who does he think he is!" she groans, stepping back and flips back forward with a high kick, taking jungkook by surprise as he quickly takes a step back to avoid getting hit.
after a few more hits and really hard punches and kicks, which jungkook knows for sure would hurt if the punching back was a person, he steps forward, taking off the gloves from her hands, for jiah's sweating now and breathing heavily. "so he called you in the office to give you money?" he asks, joining jiah as she sits down on the floor of the ring, and nods her head.
"he said he missed me and that he's sorry for everything he did." she says, taking a sip of water from the bottle jungkook handed her. she sits straight then, suddenly remembering the bigger issue and taps on jungkook's leg for all of his attention, "he was being weird, and kept trying to hold me. i pushed him an—"
"he was touching you?" jungkook frowns, "did he hurt you anywhere? why the fuck was he touching you?"
"because he's an asshole and he keeps saying that he loves me and misses me." she rolls her eyes at the mental picture of jimin, "i pushed him away, jungkook and then i slapped him. i was about to break his nose with a punch but his secretary saved him. anyway, that's not important. the main problem is that he kept repeating the same things and it really angered me, so i told him that if he really wants me back so bad he should leave all of his luxuries and come down to the life that i live... he's willing to give up the entire company and all the money now..." she trails of by the end, pouting at jungkook, "what do i do now? i know i wanna see him suffer for what he did to me, but i think i went too far... what if he actually lets go of everything? i'll have to say yes to him, jungkook."
"no," jungkook sighs, "look, first of all, i don't think you went too far. that dude really deserves it for hurting you. one, he touched you without your permission. two, he fired you without any solid reason. three, he tried to bribe you. four, he has a lot of ego. how many more reasons do you want? he's a walking red flag, baby. and you have every right to say no to him, whether or not he lets go of his bullshit company, which also has my brother attached to it for some reason."
jiah releases a soft breath, leaning next to jungkook and hums, "guys are shit."
"you're with one right now." jungkook huffs, draping his arm around jiah's shoulders, making her laugh lightly. "anyway, so that was why jimin is a dick. what about taehyung?"
jiah scrunches up her face, looking up at jungkook and nods, "he's also a dick. just that i can't say anything to him."
"yeah? and i thought my tough girl doesn't discriminate when it comes to whipping guys into shape." he tries to joke, but jiah doesn't necessarily let out a laugh. not the kind he had hoped for at least. she smiles sadly and looks down, shaking her head.
"it's complicated..." she shrugs her shoulders, glancing back at the door which is suddenly opened and jihun's high pitched crying takes over. jiah pulls herself away from jungkook, giving him a brief smile before taking her son from eugene. "thank you for bringing him here." she says, getting an assuring look from the man. he takes his leave, and jiah sits down at the edge of the ring, patting her toddler's back, "hey, don't cry, ji. do you want jungkook to think that you're a bad boy?" she whispers to him, which jungkook can clearly hear as well. he laughs at that and sits beside her, stroking the baby's head.
"hey, buddy. the bed wasn't comfortable or what?" he asks jokingly, getting jihun's attention. miraculously, he stops crying and looks up at jungkook, sitting in his mother's lap. "good job. now tell me, was the bed okay?"
"mm," jihun nods coincidentally, making jiah laugh amusedly. he turns to her and points at jungkook, "daddy..."
jiah's smile fades away gradually, as she shakes her head, "no, daddy went home. he's jungkook, my friend." she says softly.
"daddy go 'ome?"
"yeah, and we—"
"daddy..." jihun pouts, eyes quickly welling with tears again, "go to daddy, mamma..."
"no, baby. we're not going to him. you can see him again later, okay?" she says, growing uneasy for it was the first time jihun ever mentioned taehyung like this in his absence. she gulps slowly, forcing a smile for both her son and jungkook, and looks away, not enjoying that the toddler keeps asking about his father and pouting when jiah says that they can't go to him right now.
"hey, who's hungry?" jungkook asks, standing up and pulls jiah with him, taking jihun in his arms instead and smiles at the baby, "yo, little man do you like to eat?"
"eat," jihun nods, "ji' wuv eati' wi-wid mamma!"
"alright, that's great. let's go feed jihun and his mamma then?" jungkook grins, and winks at jiah, "let's go, mamma."
"jeon!" she glares at him, "don't you dare call me that again!"
"why not?" he laughs and glances at jihun, "who is she?"
"mamma,"
"see? now, c'mon mamma—"
"jeon." she warns, "don't. only my baby can call me that."
jungkook chuckles, ruffling her hair and leans down in front of her face, "okay, big girl. let's go now, shall we?" jiah nods this time, so much more relaxed and wraps her arm around his, staying close to him and jihun.
"i'll help you, but don't get your hopes high. i'll do it only a little bit." she declares and grins at her son, holding out her hand for a high-five, "me and ji can be a help if needed, right ji?" the toddler giggles, returning her five and jungkook smiles at the two.
"you guys are so cute," he mutters through the smile.
"ji' sho kyoot!" jihun nods, "mamma sho silly!"
"yeah, i know right?" jungkook laughs, "ji's mamma is—"
"i'm the bestest out the there, please watch your words."
"bestest sure," jungkook sniggers, making jihun laugh too for some reason.
"men," jiah rolls her eyes.
"okay, get your ass over here woman." jungkook huffs, placing jihun on the counter and gestures jiah to sit down on the stool as well. she sticks her tongue out at him, although obeys and leans near her son, who out of nowhere, tugs on the shirt she's wearing.
"mi'k?"
"god..." jiah sighs deeply, "no, jihun. i said we'll go home, after that, okay?"
"ji wan' mi'k mamma!" he whines, getting on her lap and lips up the t-shirt, getting a look from jiah.
"you're not a decent guy, jihun."
jungkook behind her laughs at that, "he's two." he mentions, "and you can go inside, get your business done."
"i wish i was paid." she exasperates, picking jihun up and slaps his bottom lightly, "bad guy. jungkook will make fun you when you grow up a little more."
"no, but i think i'll make fun you." jungkook grins, glancing at jiah who rolls her eyes.
"why? you never drank milk out of—"
"somebody's tits?" jungkook smirks, "not that i remember of. no."
"jesus! shut up and cook! i'll come back in a while."
"take your time, baby."
