Julie was baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies, for her friend, Alexandra. She recently lost her mother, in a boating accident, and drowned. Julie was trying to be a good friend, by cheering up Alexandra, and always being there for her, in her time of need.

The cookies were now ready, and Julie took them out of the oven. She put the cookies on a silver platter, and wrapped them up. Then, she got on her bike, and rode to Alexandra's house.

When Julie arrived, she got off her bike, rang the doorbell, and waited for Alexandra.

The door opened, and there stood Alexandra, in a red shirt, white shorts, and white socks. "Hi, Julie!" she said, cheerfully. "What are you doing here?"

"Hi, Alexandra!" said Julie. "I baked you some chocolate chip cookies!"

"Wow, thanks!" exclaimed Alexandra. "Thank you so much! Come on in!"

Julie stepped inside, and Alexandra's cat, meowed, and rubbed his head on Julie's legs. "It was my pleasure!" chuckled Julie. "I know it has been difficult for you, since your mother passed away, so I thought I'd bake you these cookies! I know that chocolate chip is your favorite!"

"Again, thanks so much, Julie! You're a good friend! I love you!"

"I love you too, Alexandra! Let's have some milk, with these cookies!"

And so, Julie opened the fridge, got out a carton of milk, poured some into two glasses, and she and Alexandra, dunked the cookies into the milk. The cookies were delicious.
