Chapter 83

*First person pov*

"Haa!" I yell as I kick the wooden pole thing sticking out of the ground. It was about 1 a.m. and I am exhausted. But I don't want to give up just like that. I want to keep going! I want to be able to protect my friends! This is all I can do for now... for Lee! "Huaaah!" I yell and I kick the wood and it breaks in half. I sigh, and continue to the next pole. Guy, who insisted to stay with me until I quit the training for the day, was slumped on the tree asleep. Just by looking at him, I really wanted to sleep as well. I felt my eyes drooping and I smack myself. No! I gotta train! I turn back to the pole and I was about to keep training but black dots invaded my vision. I passed out.

Time skip~

Aggh... shit. The birds are tweeting, and also PICKING at ME. "GET THE HELL OFF ME!!!" I yell as I flail my arms around, birds were flying away. I was panting slightly, and I checked the time on my phone. Is it even right? 8:46 Hmm, I should go find Keiko. Guy was still sleeping, not disturbed by my outburst. Wow, he's a heavy sleeper. I lightly slap him awake. "Oi! Wake up!" I yell. He stirs and looks at me sleepily. "Ciel? What time is it?" Guy asks. I shrug. "I don't know, if I were to guess it is about 8:30 or something. I fell asleep like you did." Hey, I wasn't supposed to have my phone. And there are no phones in this universe and stuff. How would I know the time? "How long did you train?" Guy asks, sitting up. "I was training up until 1 am until I passed out." I reply. "Really? We should quit for today then..." Guy trails off. I shake my head. "No, I want to keep training. Just... not taijutsu. I am really sore." I say, which is true. My whole body is aching. "That might be a good call. For taijutsu users, there is always a rest day so you don't tear a muscle. What are you going to do?" Guy asks. "I'm going to see Hokage to retrieve Keiko, so I can train her. I'm going to come back here and train. Feel free to stay or whatever." I say as I leave. "I'm going to leave and visit Lee. We can keep training in the afternoon." Guy says as he leaves. Come to think of it, I need to visit Lee in the hospital. Maybe I should bring something for him... I walk to the Grandpa's office to get Keiko. I open Grandpa's door, not bothering to knock. "Oi gramps. Where's Keiko?" I ask as I walk in. I see an anbu in the office along with Grandpa. I recognized the mask as it's Yamato's mask. Or Tenzo? I don't know, he has two names. "Ah, Ciel. Keiko is at school with Iruka right now. He is having class right now and teaching his class and babysitting Keiko." Grandpa says with a smile. I felt an anime vien. "You're an idiot Grandpa. Did you really think that it would be a good idea to leave a kitten in a school full of children?" I ask him. His smile drops. "Well, I didn't think of that... Iruka is good with kids and I thought it would be best..." Grandpa trails off. I sigh and Yamato turns to Grandpa. "Hey, who is this kid?" Yamato asks. "His name is Heartfilia Ciel. He is an outsider but he claims that he lost his memories and asked me to stay in the village as an ninja." Grandpa says. "But isn't that a bad idea? He might be a spy." He asks suspiciously. I speak up. "The anbu is right. I might be a spy or something. But I am loyal to this village but if you feel the need to plant an anbu on me to spy on me, do it. It's not like I care, I got nothing to hide." I say as I take my leave. I close the door and I pull out my phone and earbuds and I listen to my music. I walk to the academy and I open Iruka's door. "Oi-" I cut myself off. Keiko is being suffocated to death by children and Iruka was trying to stop them. "Hey! Don't pull Keiko's tail!" I hear Keiko's muffled yell. "Hey! Stop smothering Keiko!" Iruka tries yelling over the squeals of children. I feel an anime mark. "I-RU-KA~!" I yell. Iruka rigidly turns to me. I tilted my head so hair falls over my left eye, making a shade on my right. I widen my eyes so it looked like my pupils became smaller and I had a twisted grin. "What is going on here?" I ask really creepily. The brats, scramble away, leaving Keiko. Iruka looked really scared for a second. Keiko was happy that I was here and flew into my arms. "Daddy!" She yells as she hugs me. I turn my creepy stare off and I came back to my happy state. "Hey girl! Sorry that stupid Grandpa let you with this dimwit. I came back for you!" say cheerfully. Iruka cried when I called him a dimwit. "Ciel, I am so, so sorry. I didn't think that the kids would do this." Iruka apologizes. I glare at him. "Really? Did you really think that a kitten would come out alive in a school of snot nosed brats?" I ask him. He flinches and looks down. Konohamaru jumps up at the sound of brats. "Hey! Don't insult a ninja! You will regret the day you did!" Konohamaru yells. I look at him lazily. "Hm? I wasn't insulting a ninja, if I were, then I wouldn't be a ninja. I was insulting you brats." I say to him. "Exactly! You are insulting us, then you are insulting a ninja!" Konohamaru yells. "You are not a ninja, you are just a brat. I believe that you are a ninja if you are wearing the headband." I say to him. He is boiling in anger and tries to fight me but gets held back by Moegi and Udon. "Stop it Konohamaru!" Moegi yells. "You're glad that they are holding me back! I would have kicked your ass!" Konohamaru yells at me. "Fine. Let's bring this outside." I say as I head outside. "Hey! Don't fight with the students!" Iruka exclaims. I glare at him. "It's your fault that you took Keiko here. At least let me sucker punch a brat." I say as jump out the window to fight Konohamaru. Konohamaru follows my lead out the window. I set Keiko down on the ground. "Daddy?" Keiko asks. I smile softly at her. "Don't worry, this is a friendly fight." I say as I get up. "Cheer for me, will you?" I ask as I walk away. Me and Konohamaru stand off and the students are watching us out the window.
