ㅤㅤㅤTHE CREATURE WORE a sun mask with a big glowing eye in the center, the eye seemed to move around to examine it's surroundings cautiously; as soon as it saw Merlin standing by the Trollhunter's side, it stared at him without blinking once.

ㅤㅤㅤIt extended it's right arm, covered in bandages that only ended to it's hand, so the loud crow could easily land in it, before raising it's left hand to the sun mask.

ㅤㅤㅤThe girl moved carefully, raising the mask to show her face to everyone there. The mask's eye automatically closed when she removed it from her face. Solamon frowned at Merlin's face from far, turning to the crow with the same angry expression.

ㅤㅤㅤ"You traitor, you brought me to Merlin! How could you?!" she scolded the bird, poking it multiple times around it's stomach as he tried to shake her hand away while imitating a sound of an old woman laughing and wheezing; the uncomfortable situation amused the crow, somehow.

ㅤㅤㅤSaid wizard approached the non-human girl, who raised her chin and putted her hand over the sword she carried on the big belt around her waist; both the Trollhunters noticed it had a weird round shape in it's dark purple blade, it reminded Jim of Nomura's swords - though the stranger didn't had a pair of blades like she did, it was a lonely blade -.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Solamon. I'm glad you came." Merlin said as Jim and Claire stood behind him, both very confused with the situation.

ㅤㅤㅤ"If I knew you were here I wouldn't have come in the first place." she murmured to herself, but Merlin heard it very clearly; he couldn't blame her for still being angry at him, he never apologized properly for what he did.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Why are you with all these trolls? Are they your new study object?" she looked around, not being careful with her words as she inspected everyone that surrounded herself.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Oh, I bet that one is for sure a study object. A troll with a human aura, good work Merlin!" she smiled sarcastically at the wizard while pointing at Jim.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Merlin, who is that? What is she talking about?" the half troll asked, approaching the both of them as Claire stayed behind him with Blinkous.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I will explain everything later, just calm down, she is no threat to us." he said out loud to everyone around, extending his hands as he examined the fairy.

ㅤㅤㅤ"You better explain yourself right now, human scum." she raised her shoulders while speaking, Merlin noticed she didn't lost even a bit of her accent; he wondered if it was on purpose, since it was the only thing Solamon had to remember herself she was still a fairy.

ㅤㅤㅤ"My dear Claire, the trollhunter's partner, felt the need to be trained, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to see you again since your familiar told me you were very lonely in your new home-" he tried to explain in the best way possible, Claire raised her hand and smiled when she was mentioned, but didn't say anything.

ㅤㅤㅤ"What?! I'm not lonely! He's a liar, just like you are! You told me you would protect me from that brute you call your king. I didn't forgot what you did, old man!" she pointed at him accusingly, the frown in her face getting worse, if that's even possible. For only a moment, Sol had a soft blush in her freckled cheeks, the bird revealed a secret she wished to keep for herself; being lonely seemed like a silly thing to feel, mostly because she was the one who hid from the world.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Excuse me, I can clearly see that you two have a past and I would really like to understand what is going on, but first I would like to know what type of creature is she? That pointy teeth doesn't look like a human trait, and neither does the weird yellow eyes." Blinkous interrupted the discussion, pointing his three left hands to the girl while looking at Merlin, as if she couldn't speak for herself.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I'm a fairy, you rude rock." she shakes her right arm to get the crow to release it before crossing her arms. Her familiar, instead, landed lazily over her head.

ㅤㅤㅤ"No, you're not. Fairies were extinct in the war against the pixies in the thirteen hundreds, they were very tough, I saw that at the Killahead war, even fought against one!" he put all of his hands in his long waist, glaring at the fairy while frowning. The way he so proudly exposed to everyone his lack of information on her village was amazing to the girl.

ㅤㅤㅤ"You are mixing up different kinds of fairies, do you really study historical events or do you just pretend you do?" she raised her eyebrows in a curious manner, Merlin could only observe the conversation, very confused; he didn't remember how much Sol liked to discuss with people.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I am not mixing anything up, there are no such things as different kinds of fairies! You should really get your lies checked." he didn't approach the fairy any closer, however, she seemed as she was about to tackle him to the ground by the looks on her face.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Oh and you think you would know more than me?" Solamon pointed to him, and then to herself.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Yes! I do know way more than a no-winged liar!" Blinkous snapped, and so did Sol.

ㅤㅤㅤMerlin was lucky that he was close to her, he could easily hold her so she didn't jump and attack Blinky, who retreated in surprise after her attack attempt. The girl tried shaking herself out of Merlin's grasp, but the old man was still very strong.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I'LL HAVE YOU ቿነየቿፕልዕዐ ቿጠ ጠጎረዘዐቿነ ዕቿ ቿነየልዕልነ ዕቿክፕዪዐ ዕቿ ሁጠል ቻዐዪክልረዘል ፕልዐ ዒሁቿክፕቿ ዒሁልክፕዐ ዐ ጎክቻቿዪክዐ, ሀዐሁ ርዐጠቿዪ ሀዐርቿ የቿዕልርጎክዘዐ የዐዪ የቿዕልርጎክዘዐ ልፕቿ ዒሁቿ ልየቿክልነ ሁጠ ዕቿ ነቿሁነ ዐረዘዐነ ቿነፕሁየጎዕዐነ ዪቿነፕቿ ቿጠ ጠቿሁ የዪልፕዐ, የቿዕዪል ጌልጌልርል!" she decided to curse and threaten the troll instead; the fact that he couldn't understand a word of what she had just said made it even more scary.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I did not remember you had such a bad temper!" Merlin felt the need to comment as he tried to contain the aggressive behavior of the fairy.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Well, I guess living in the woods for nine-hundred years changes you, what a surprise!" she replied with harsh words, finally getting Merlin to release her as she retreated from everyone.

ㅤㅤㅤThe old wizard sighed, he didn't knew how to convince her, but he still insisted on the idea with hope that he could have make Solamon teach dear Claire what she wished to know.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Solamon, I know you're mad at me, and you have all the right to be, I didn't defend you like I said I would and you lost your wings because of my cowardice. But I beg you to stay with us and teach Claire how to fight, she is a good warrior and great company for you. After she is trained enough, you can go back home and pretend you never saw me, if that's what you wish." he tried to reason with the girl, who dodged Merlin's hand after he tried to put it over her shoulder.

ㅤㅤㅤ"I'm not going to let you use me again, Merlin." Sol tried to use an angry tone in her voice, but it sounded more like disappointment, sorrow, distress, all of them together in one.

ㅤㅤㅤMerlin could only watch her as she turned her back to him and walked away, the crow flew up from her head and started to lead the way.

ㅤㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤㅤ

ㅤㅤㅤSolamon did not regret turning her back on Merlin, or so she thought. The man was starting to find his way into her heart as someone good until he turned his face when she asked for help.

ㅤㅤㅤStill, she couldn't help but pity the man after he looked at her with such regret in his eyes.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Stop." her familiar commanded, landing on top of her head as she adjusted the sun mask over her face. Izzet stopped walking and looked around with the mask's only eye, confused.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Why? There's no danger, I don't feel any auras around." she asked him, frowning as she did so.

ㅤㅤㅤ"Rest, you are tired." it curved it's neck until he was staring at her face from upside down. The fairy sighed; he was right, she was very tired from all the walking, but they were still very close to where she found Merlin and all the trolls, she didn't want to cross paths with him on accident.

ㅤㅤㅤIn the end, Sol gave up to the sleepiness she felt after a yawn came out of her mouth, hidden behind the mask.

ㅤㅤㅤWhile she was finding a comfortable position up in the branch of the tallest tree there, she couldn't help but to think on Merlin once more; surely his apprentice was following him around, like he always did.

ㅤㅤㅤIf she accepted the request to train that girl Claire, would she be able to see her dear old friend again? That would be wonderful, of course, she could barely remember his face after all those years, but she was still scared of meeting him again; their goodbye was bittersweet, Hisirdoux seemed kind of sad that she traded his friendship for freedom so easily.

ㅤㅤㅤOh, Hisirdoux. It had been some time since she didn't think of that name. Apart from the memory of their farewell, all the memories Solamon had of him were good ones, they made her happy.

ㅤㅤㅤShe wished her dream was about him again that night, they were always the best dreams.
