ㅤㅤㅤTHE DAY OF the battle arrived, the king tried to reason with the trolls after being convinced by Merlin that he needed their help, but they refused to listen to him or to the wizard, even after both of them explained they had a better chance of winning with the amulet Merlin had created. Finally, king Arthur reached Solamon's room, he was going to prepare her to battle with them and maybe even ask for forgiveness; only if she refused to participate in the war, of course, he had to convince her somehow.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Beast-" he coughed, hiding his own mistake. "Solamon Izzet. I am going to take you to the front lines-" he opened the door, only to find an empty room; the light of the whole room seemed to be gone with the girl.
ㅤㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤㅤ
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon ran as fast as she could, it was hard to dodge the forest's creatures without her wings to help, though she was lucky enough to know how to climb trees - her older sister, Lucia, was the one who taught her, Sol was never so grateful in her life as she was now -.
ㅤㅤㅤThe sun was almost up, she could see and feel the warm of it's light through the leaf's gaps; over all, it was wonderful feeling, to be back home. Though, at that moment, she couldn't focus on that, that fairy had a mission to complete.
ㅤㅤㅤFinally, she saw Eriynx's big fence, the one that kept everyone safe inside and all the monsters away with it's powerful aura. It was old and full of vines and moss, but የልየ and ጠል insisted on keeping it the way it was; not even them could redo such a powerful fence.
ㅤㅤㅤ"ጠል! የልየ! I'm home, I'm here!" the ginger opened the gates and ran inside, smiling as she dodged the big trees inside her home.
ㅤㅤㅤAll the fireflies were flying around and lighting the place while the bees couldn't be seen outside of their hives; it was still night time in Eriynx, as if the place was located in a different dimension.
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon missed that a lot.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoni?" she heard her older brother call for her from far, she followed the sound of his voice to the center of their village, where a bonfire illuminated the faries's faces all at once; she was quick to notice that none of her younger siblings were there.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoni!" they all exclaimed her name, though their tone was not a happy one. Sol paid no mind to it, instead, she opened her arms and welcomed all of her siblings in a hug.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Your wings! What happened to you?! That damn humans, I'll rip their spine off!" Owl was the first one to notice the lack of wings in his sister's back, doing many gestures with his hands to show the aggresive things he plan on doing to the person who had done such a horrible thing to her. It was relieving to see that her partner in hunt didn't change his aggressive manners in a bit.
ㅤㅤㅤ"It doesn't matter, I'm back now!" she smiled, crying out of happiness of finally being reunited with her family. She couldn't care less about her wings at the moment, they weren't needed to make her happy. "Please tell me you guys weren't actually planning on joining the war against humans... the king and his wizard told me that-"
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoni." she knew that voice very well. That strong voice, capable to take down any wild animal in a second, was the voice of the one who brought her life. Mother was there.
ㅤㅤㅤAll her siblings knelt down at their creator, the big woman walked gracefully as የልየ followed behind her; he was way smaller than she was, they were different species, after all. His dragonfly-like wings twitched when he saw his favorite daughter with no wings, he frowned in anger for a second before his face trembled and became neutral again; Solamon couldn't ignore it this time, though, again, how could she pay attention to anything when ጠል was right there? Her tall mother's aura was so calming that Sol almost slept right there - it was very tiring to run around the forest, she couldn't wait to go to her comfortable bed and sleep for a whole week -.
ㅤㅤㅤ"My dear, you've returned!" the strong voice echoed through the whole village, the ginger smiled and stood up, walking towards ጠል.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Yes, I'm here ጠል. You guys weren't planning on participating on the war, right?" Solamon wasn't so sure of her words anymore, the big woman turned her face slowly to the side - everytime ጠል moved, a sound of an old tree being hit by strong winds came out of her, as if the elder woman was made of solid wood, that was the only clue her children had to know when she was close, Sol missed that sound too -.
ㅤㅤㅤ"...Solaomoni, my dear... we were worried about you." የልየ started to explain, the fairy frowned at his words, that wasn't what she wanted to hear, her father knew that.
ㅤㅤㅤ"የልየ, you-" she stepped back a bit, but was pulled back by her mother.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Sol, humans became too much of a danger to us. Your capture was the only proof we needed to be sure. It is not your fault, my dear, the humans are our only problem." the only man in the village with dragonfly wings adjusted his round glasses as he spoke, walking to his daughter's direction with the help of his staff, which served to him as a walking stick at that moment.
ㅤㅤㅤ"But የልየ, that is absurdly unfair to humans! Most of them are kind and gentle people, I've seen it with my own eyes!"
ㅤㅤㅤ"Yes, they are so kind that they took your wings so you could become one of them, right?" Lupin's voice was heard by everyone around the bonfire, he stood up and frowned at Sol, who only hesitated for a moment before she frowned back at him; that truly surprised everyone, Solamon was a cheerful fairy, she never raised her voice at anyone and always kept her head down, when did she became so outrageous?
ㅤㅤㅤ"The one who took my wings from me does not speak for all humans with his brute actions. Tell me, did Yudith's actions transformed us all in traitors?" she answered with sass, ጠል raised her right hand to stop the siblings from fighting each other.
ㅤㅤㅤ"That's enough. The war against Gunmar and Yudith's betrayal have nothing to do with this. We are done hiding from everything, Ilzzetrum. The end of human kind would be a start for a peaceful life!" she frowned - their mother was usually scary when she frowned, but in that day she just seemed... odd -, ጠል extended her hands towards her daughter, but stopped midway on the act, frozen.
ㅤㅤㅤSuddently, everything was silent. Sol didn't see a single movement from anyone, only herself. ጠል stood up and blew off the fire as the sun finally hit Eriynx. Solamon watched as her siblings and parents started to walk in the entrance's direction.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Wait- where are you going? No! Don't leave yet!" she desperately tried to hold onto Lucia's arm, but her older sister shook her off and kept walking. The ginger tried to stop her siblings by staying in front of the gates, they all stared at her with a look that scared the little fairy, but she didn't retreat.
ㅤㅤㅤ"You can't go! We don't have to be a part of this, please listen to me!" she cried, raising her voice to be as loud as she could; her tone made her younger siblings appear from every house in Eriynx, confused with what was going on outside.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoni, if you don't want to be part of the war, you can just stay here where you're safe. Take care of your younger siblings while we're out." Lupin pulled her back so she was out of their way; his grip was strong, Sol couldn't go against him.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Be useful for once and cast the protection barrier in the fence for us, Sol." የልየ's words truly hurt her; the man was usually so sweet and caring towards her, something had changed in there and Solamon needed to know what.
ㅤㅤㅤShe couldn't stop them from leaving, her younger siblings all jumped over herself when they saw her and started kissing her face over and over again, making it difficult to move.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Sol, you're back!" Camilo hugged her as tight as possible, as if his sister would disappear again at any moment.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoniiii!" Ewi cried, hugging Sol's arm with sadness.
ㅤㅤㅤAll of her siblings started to ask questions about Camelot - they weren't allowed to get out of Eriynx yet, it was too dangerous for them out there -, but the ginger couldn't focus on them at the moment, she stared at the entrance where her family had just left through. From the distance, she could see a crow staring right back at her before it flew away in the same direction as her family had walked to.
ㅤㅤㅤShe knew what to do.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Okay okay okay, I know you miss me but stop pulling me or I'll fall!" she smiled at her brothers and sisters before using magic to get them to stop hugging her; they all seemed impressed with the simple trick.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Go back to your rooms, I'll give each of you a hug in a moment, okay?" Solamon saw their faces lit up in happiness before they all ran away to different houses where their room was located. Camilo was the only one who stayed next to his sister.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Caomillo, what did I just-"
ㅤㅤㅤ"You're going after them, aren't you?" he frowned; Camilo knew his sister too well.
ㅤㅤㅤ"...Yes. I have to convince them that we don't have to participate on this war." she explained, walking towards the gate to do as she was told to do. Sol felt magic flow through her as the protection spell spread through the whole fence, creating a magical shield over Eriynx. She was impressed on how better she got on magic over the few days she was on Camelot.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Caomillo, listen carefully." she said quietly to the boy, holding his shoulders to make him look in her eyes.
ㅤㅤㅤ"I want you to take care of everyone here, okay?" Solamon continued, smiling softly at her brother to make him less nervous about the situation.
ㅤㅤㅤ"But-" he tried to argue.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Do not leave the entrance, you guys are safe here, okay?" she could see his scared expression turn into sadness with her words; Sol couldn't blame him, it was a lot for a ten year old to take in. All she could do to calm his nerves was hug him, and Camilo did not hesitated to hug his dear sister back.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Promise me you're gonna be back..." he pleaded, breaking the poor fairy's heart.
ㅤㅤㅤ"I'm sorry Millo, I can't make that promise..." she kissed his forehead before turning to the entrance and running away.
ㅤㅤㅤPoor Camilo hugged himself for some seconds before he breathed in quietly and raised his chin courageously. He was going to make his sister proud of him.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ☀︎︎
ㅤㅤㅤMerlin defended an attack before he shot an energy blast towards the Gumm-gumm who dared attack him, killing the beast with a single shot. Most of Gunmar's "warriors" where just weak stone-made trolls, he could easily deal with them; that is until Morgana would appear, he didn't know where she was and was starting to get worried about that.
ㅤㅤㅤThe old man was distracted for only a second, but it was enough time for a fairy to try and attack him with an axe.
ㅤㅤㅤHe didn't understand what happened, but in half a second he was being pushed to the ground by his shoulders, away from the weapon. He felt the weight of a small body over his, keeping him kneeling on the ground.
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon lost half of her hair for her brother's blade; the elongated part of her red hair became as short as the side that only reached her neck. She was lucky she only lost her hair, not her whole head; Lupin was more than capable of killing her in a single swing. She pushed Merlin out of the way and jumped over the fairy, tackling him to the ground by the shoulders.
ㅤㅤㅤHe lost his axe and didn't move until he was being held by his own sister against the floor, the shock of being tackled by Sol kept him from speaking for a moment.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Solaomoni, what are you doing?! Get off of me!" Lupin tried to push her away, but the fairy was strong enough to at least keep his hands from moving.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Stop fighting! This is not our war! Let's go home, Lunpini, please!" she begged once more, but her brother didn't hesitate to kick her in the stomach. Sol grunted in pain and rolled to the side, hugging her own stomach as Lupin ran to get his axe.
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon stood up as soon as she could - though her stomach still hurt a lot from the kick she had received -, Merlin was nowhere to be seen; he was probably defeating other monsters, Sol saw a lot of them there.
ㅤㅤㅤShe didn't expect to see her brother swinging his axe at her, thought she was quick enough to dodge the attack, launching a kick in his chin to move him away from her - her own kick could barely compare to Lupin's, he was stronger and had double the skill, Sol almost fell after her own attack for launching it the wrong way, but it worked, so she didn't felt the need to be mad at herself at that moment -; it would be better for herself if he was distanced from her, Lupin was way stronger than she was and Sol planned on using magic to try and stop him - at least he wouldn't attack anyone while he was too busy with her -.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Listen to me, Lunpini!" she screamed for him while casting a spell. Lupin attacked once more, only then the ginger felt the need to throw the energy balls towards him; as expected, he dodged them all to get to her.
ㅤㅤㅤ"TRAITOR! You go against your own kind to protect humans?! How could you, Solaomoni?!" he tried to swing his axe against her once more - it was shocking to the girl how he didn't hesitate to hurt her -, she raised both of her arms and creates a shield for herself. When the blade touched the shield, it shone strongly and blinded him momentarily, Lupin grunted and retreated for a moment while he closed his eyes. Sol ignored the pain in her arms - she wasn't very good at casting shields either, it barely protected her from the axe - to try and convince her older brother to get out of there.
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon used the time to cast another spell, multiple chains appeared from the ground, securing her older brother's wrists and legs before pulling him to the floor. Finally, he was kneeling on the ground, as breathless as she was.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Brother, look around you! Our family is dying! We- we can still go home and save them-"
ㅤㅤㅤ"NO!" his voice didn't carry an angry tone, rather a desperate one. Solamon was very confused at that, but she didn't had the time to think, Lupin screamed and pulled himself until the chains broke.
ㅤㅤㅤSol didn't had time to react, Lupin jumped over her and tried swinging his axe to her neck. Time seemed to slow down as she fell onto her side and raised her arms to try and prepare herself for the pain.
ㅤㅤㅤSolamon closed her eyes as hard as she could, but the pain never came. Slowly, she opened her eyes to spy what had happened, her brother's shocked face was the first thing she saw, then she noticed her hand shining in a soft peach light; which only happened when she casted her magic.
ㅤㅤㅤShe tried to turn to her side but something burned her arm when she did. Sol quickly rolled away and stood up.
ㅤㅤㅤWhat had burned her was a light pink crystal-made thorn that grew from the ground, probably her own creation. It hit and went through her brother's stomach. His faced twitched and changed expression multiple times - from pain, to sadness, to pity - as he stared at Solamon, who couldn't process the scene correctly in her head.
ㅤㅤㅤThe poor girl only understood what she had done after Lupin's eyes lost it's brightness and he fell unconscious; his aura slowly disappeared as his blood dripped from the thorn. Solamon killed him.
ㅤㅤㅤ"Oh no... oh no... what have I done...?" she started shaking as she retreated from the body, terrified of what she did.
ㅤㅤㅤSomeone didn't saw her there and bumped into her small body, pushing her to the side right in front of a Gumm-gumm attacking one of the human guards. She was shoved again and ended up falling from a hill as she rolled, defenceless.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ☀︎︎
ㅤㅤㅤThe fairy hit her back against a tree and fell unconscious with the sudden impact.
