The Magician:
"You look... dishevelled..."

The Witch:
"Are you alright, my dear?"

Host Judge:
"Well, the kind of scores you left with me, and the disappointments of my life in addendum, this is not even the worst look I could've pulled off for today."

The Wizard: (on the selection committee)
"Ah, pardon me. Are the results out?"

Host Judge:
"Seriously? Late to the results too?"

The Wizard:
"I had to fight off dozens of Cornish Pixies in the ballroom to get to the main ground!"

Host Judge: (muttering)
"Always an excuse enveloped in your robes."
"Anyways, the performances were difficult, the potions almost too 'perfect' but only 12 shall pass"

The other 3 in unison:
"Only 12 shall pass"

When I say, the judging was difficult, it means it was difficult, which is why I'd like to clarify any potential future queries you might ask:

1| The Judging Criteria Revised.
Yes, I revised the Criteria a little, breaking down some points I thought were needed. The other criterias remain the same, except these:

Composition (15)
+ Spacing (3)
+ Balance (3)
+ Perspectives (3) / Resources (3)*
+ Arrangements (3)
+ Cover Format (3)
*for typo/obj and blends

Efforts/Overall (10)
+ Efforts (8)
+ Charming (2)

2| The Pairs.
Yes, there are ties. And I knew at some point in the competition I'd have to deal with them which is why I've been saying that only 12 shall pass, for so long.
Only 12 people with maximum marks have passed this round.
The rankings for equal points are considered to be the same but your name may come before or after as I've put them alphabetically (according to your nicknames).

3| What do the pairs mean for future rounds?
I'm hoping that we can break off the ties at some point because everyone's style, positives and negatives are different. However, in case there are any ties for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, there would be joint winners for the concerned Act.

Now onto the results!

THE FINAL STANDINGS

(SEVERAL) WORDS FROM THE JUDGE.

I know, I've been there too. Feeling a bit (or maybe even a lot) disheartened for not being able to make it across the red line.

And people will say "That's Life".

No, it's not.

"That's competition."

Someone will win, someone will lose or be stuck in the middle.

But as a Judge, I can say one thing for sure. This was and will always be one of the MOST difficult contests I have or I will ever judge.

Everyone gave their absolute best shot for this. Yes, for some, improvements can be made but that's always going to be a part of your design journey.

You will always learn.

I hope the reviews I send out today will be helpful in your creative journey and help you understand new stuff about yourself.

Until then, keep fighting!

For our twelve who passed, congratulations...

But the show, has just begun 🔮 ✨
