Stacey only ever knew chaos. In boys that claimed to be men. Women who looked down on her as valueless. Parents and relatives who saw her as weak. Her kindness never faltered, and her awkwardness made her unique.

Her waitressing job seemed endless; nights were dull. Boredom set into her roots. Growth is all she saught. She overheard her coworkers chatting about a new clothing place opening on 5th Avenue and thought to add some new pieces to her wardrobe. If Stacey spiced her outfits up, it might ignite a better love life and make all those bitter housewives that nag about her nonexistent love life and bad appearance bite their tongues.

As her shift ends, she walks to the new clothing place, in awe at how nice the clothes look for the price on the outside. As she enters, she is greeted with the scent of vanilla and soft spices. Quietness. Tidiness. She rarely enters a place, and it is untouched, the feeling is nice. She felt like she could stay all night. Or at least until 9, clothing hours.

Fezco enters through the back exit doors of the clothing store. Aware of Stacey's presence, he watched her and his employee converse for about an hour before greeting them in the lobby through the inventory room and offering her a job.

She declined his offer until she accepted it when Fezco offered double the wages.

Little does she know what Fezco just pulled her into.

Her former life as she once knew it will vanish. There will be no more tedious hours at the coffee shop, bitter housewives, or terrible love life. He is dangerous in all the ways that will make her heart race, her breath quicken, and she feels ever so powerful, with and without his touch.

Drugs and street racing, all his family is known for.

She will feel invisible until she is not. Criminal affairs can only last so long, as Stacey forgot to mention one thing. She is dying, and Stacey struggles to find enough time to make her new life last.
