scott bit a freshman

SILAS' MOTEL room was nicer than she thought it would be. When she knocked on his door, the boy let her in without question, already having an idea as to why she was there. She wanted all the answers he could give her—he just didn't know how many of those answers he could actually provide her with.
Odessa placed her bag on the edge of the bed, sitting herself next to it, "well, this isn't so bad," she offered while glancing around at the room around her.
Silas scoffed a chuckle at her comment, "yeah, it's way better than my previous living conditions."
The motel room was simple. One queen bed in the middle of the room with a bedside table and a lamp on it. A small desk on the other side of the room that Odessa saw had some notebooks and other miscellaneous things on it. There was also a good sized TV in front of the bed. There were shades on the windows for privacy and a small single bathroom not far from the bed. All in all, it wasn't the worst place to temporarily live in. But it wasn't the best. The place looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned at all with paint chipping on the walls. The blonde knew it wasn't a five star hotel and he had already been living there before he made his presence known, but she couldn't help but feel bad that he was living there.
Odessa couldn't help but wonder if Scott hadn't taken her in, she would've ended up living in a place like this. She almost asked Scott if Silas could sleep on his floor with the air mattress like Isaac did before he left but she didn't want to impose on the McCall's, they already had so much going on. Odessa knew it wouldn't be ideal for them to take in another stranger. Even when Odessa came to town, she was hesitant to accept the guest room that was now her room. She hated imposing on people or being a burden, no matter how much Melissa and Scott reminded her she wasn't.
"Will you tell me about it?"
Silas leaned against the TV stand in front of the bed, crossing his arms, "what do you want to know?"
The Ember pursed her lips for a moment before diving in, "what was our day like there?"
"Well, we would wake up and wait for our doors to unlock," the boy started bitterly, "eat breakfast if they allowed us to, start training, get pulled out of training to get our tests done, go back to training, have dinner if they allowed it and then go to bed. Very productive day, if you ask me."
"What do you mean by tests," Odessa asked with furrowed brows. She had never had a dream with anything to do with tests outside of training.
Silas sighed, "they would do daily tests to check our blood. Those idiots thought if they stuck us with needles and took our blood once a day they would find out what makes us the way we are—but obviously it doesn't work like that."
"Oh," the blonde muttered, looking down at her hands that were resting on her lap, "I don't remember any of that."
Shrugging, Silas made his way to sit next to her, "it wasn't always so bad. I mean, when they took us to testing, it was a good excuse to leave training early. And the nurses were nice to us, at least."
"Was training really that bad?"
"The worst. I've already told you how it was for you compared to the rest of us—it wasn't a pretty sight when you would show up to dinner or breakfast the next morning sporting a black eye or a busted lip."
Silas' words brought her back to the nightmares she has had that showed her only a taste of what she endured at the Salvation. Her most vivid nightmares were her being beaten and punished by who she now knew were the Saviors. It was always because she didn't have control over her wolf side. Did that mean the Saviors didn't know she was also an Ember?
With those thoughts in mind, Odessa prompted another question, "so, if my control was so bad, how was I during full Moons?"
"Full Moons really started affecting all of us as we got older, but we all grew used to it with training. Everyone but you," Silas almost looked pained at the memories held in his mind, "when the Saviors saw how bad you were, they would lock you in your room all night and just let you deal with it. I would always come in as soon as your door unlocked to try to help you but you were always so drained. I usually just sat with you."
What the boy described did sound familiar to her. Odessa vaguely remembered a dream she had a couple months ago where it showed herself sat against the wall with Silas next to her. The blonde always wondered why her past self had tear stained cheeks and ragged hair, now she understood.
She wondered if he did anything to calm her down, another memory going through her mind, "did you used to ask me a question to calm me down from full Moons?"
"That is a very specific question," Silas chuckled shortly at her ask, but answered nonetheless, "but yes, I always asked you to tell me all the colors you saw in the room to distract you and calm you down. Why?"
Feeling her cheeks start to burn, the Ember shrugged, "Stiles had a panic attack a while ago and I used that method without thinking. I even heard your voice."
Silas couldn't help but smirk, "Stiles, huh," he nudged his shoulder with hers teasingly, "what's up with you and him, anyway?"
"Nothing! We just... I don't know. It's complicated," Odessa let out a sigh just thinking about her relationship with the hazel eyed boy.
Silas' response was paired with a snort, "nothing is complicated about the way he looks at you. That's all I gotta say."
While the boy earned himself a light punch to the shoulder for his remark, Odessa couldn't help but reflect on the past 6 months she's spent in Beacon Hills with those words in mind. Did Stiles really look at her the way Silas had said? Was his observation after only spending less than an hour with Stiles all he needed to see what she couldn't grasp? If the Stone thought her relationship with Stiles was already complicated to her, Silas' words packed on an entire new layer.
━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━
When Odessa got home, she didn't know if she was surprised or not to see Stiles' Jeep in the driveway. If there was an emergency, she was sure either he or Scott would've texted her so she decided to believe he was here to watch a movie with Scott or something.
Feeling the extreme urge to shower, the Stone dropped her bag on her bed and changed into her robe, placing her pajamas on her bed for after. Walking into her bathroom, she noticed something missing from her shower essentials. She released an annoyed breath, already knowing where to look.
"I swear to God, Scott," she hissed, coming into his room. She ignored the two boy's panicked expressions as she traveled into his bathroom, "if you take my body wash one more time, I'm gonna," Odessa stopped short at the sight in front of her once she pulled back the shower curtain. The last thing she thought she'd see would be a familiar freshman laying in the tub with duct tape restraints all over him. She pulled the curtain back to cover the boy, ignoring his muffled protests and shouted, "Scott McCall! What the hell did you do?!"
Odessa could hear quick footsteps coming toward the bathroom. She turned around to face a very frightened Scott and Stiles, staring at her wide eyed at her outburst.
"Odie," Scott started slowly, "I can explain..."
Without warning, the Stone made her way to them to go back into the boy's room, prompting the boys to move back to get out of her way, "I damn well hope so. Because to me, it looks like you kidnapped a freshman. The same freshman who broke his leg because of you not even 6 hours ago!"
"I panicked!"
"Why would you panic," Odessa furrowed her brow, before coming to a realization, "no you didn't. Please tell me you didn't do what I think you did."
"What do you think I did?"
"... Did you bite him?"
"I won't tell you what I did then."
"Scott," the blonde exclaimed, running a hand through her hair, "so you bit him, kidnapped him and brought him here?"
"I panicked!"
Odessa could've sworn she felt her left eye twitch, "get that boy out of the tub. Right now."
While the two boys hurriedly made their way back into the bathroom, Odessa looked down at herself, remembering she was still in a robe. With burning cheeks from embarrassment, the girl quickly went into her room to change into her pajamas that were on her bed. By the time she came back into Scott's room, Liam was in a chair, tape still covering his mouth and around his chest to keep his arms in place.
Crossing her arms to join the two boys, Odessa muttered, "is the tape still necessary?"
Still a bit scared of the girl after her outburst, Stiles nodded quickly, "Liam, we're going to take the tape off your mouth. If you scream, it goes right back on. If you talk quietly, it stays off. Got it," after a quick nod from the boy, Stiles leaned forward and ripped the tape off of Liam's mouth without any warning. The boy let out a grunt of pain from the tape being ripped, "okay, Liam, now you've seen a lot of confusing things tonight. And more confusing things are going to happen because of the confusing things that happened tonight. Do you understand?"
"Not really," Liam replied breathlessly, looking up at the three teens.
"Good. That's good."
"I don't understand either."
Odessa furrowed her brow at Scott, "it's actually pretty easy to understand. Tell him."
When Scott hesitated, Liam's eyes snapped between the three teens and asked sharply, "tell me what?"
"Liam," the McCall trailed, shifting his weight, "what happened to you, what I did to you, which I had to do in order to save you, it's going to change you."
"Unless it kills you."
Odessa's brown eyes snapped to Stiles, "are you kidding me?"
"Shouldn't have said that."
At his words, Liam started to fidget the best he could in his seat in nervousness. His breath started to become shaky as he looked down to his lap, the only movement he could do at the moment.
The three older teens glanced at each other in concern or surprise while the human of the three stammered, "uh... uh-oh. Oh—oh. Is he... is he crying?"
"Liam," Scott crouched down to the boy's level and spoke over his sobbing, "it's okay. You're going to be all right. You're not gonna die."
Stiles crouched down, "probably not."
"Stop it," Odessa hissed while joining them.
"Okay, possibly not."
The Ember breathed deeply to control her annoyance before looking at her friends, "just freaking untie him."
The two boys didn't hesitate to spring into undoing the tape that was holding Liam to the chair, freeing his body from the restraints. Odessa moved back to the corner of the room, not wanting to be a part of anything to do with the situation anymore.
"Liam? Are you okay," Scott asked in desperate need for an answer, his tone suggesting just how bad he felt about what happened.
"We're sorry about that," Stiles added dryly while Liam stood, keeping his head down, "we're really sorry."
As soon as the apology was given, Liam grabbed the chair he was strapped on and swung it toward the boys, catching them completely off guard and sending them to the floor. Odessa widened her eyes at the outburst, but wasn't very surprised by it. If it was her who was strapped to a chair by the same people who caused her leg to break, she wouldn't be too kind to them either.
Leaning on the dresser, Stiles exclaimed, "Liam, what the hell is your—"
Odessa's jaw dropped from watching the freshman punch Stiles directly in the face. After the boys were both down, Liam looked at the blonde at the doorway. The girl gave him a raise of a brow, "go."
With those simple words, Liam sprinted out of Scott's room and down the hall just in time for Scott and Stiles to get up from the floor, following after him.
"Get him!"
While Scott and Stiles screamed together and ran toward the boy, Odessa took her time down the hall, hearing crashing noises and groaning from the stairs. She stopped at the top of the stairs to see the three boys at the bottom of the staircase. The blonde watched Liam break free and sprint out the door—which was odd because his leg was supposed to be broken—causing the Stone to hum to herself. He was changing already.
As her two friends found they came up empty with grabbing Liam again, they looked toward the wide open front door in front of them.
"Your plan sucked, too," Scott couldn't help but rasp.
Odessa rolled her eyes and mumbled, "idiots," before resuming what she was originally planning on doing when she got home, which was to shower.
━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━
It was no surprise to Odessa when Stiles and Scott told her about their encounter with Liam in the school hallway the next day. The two boys had been trying to get through to the newly turned Beta, but he wouldn't listen.
What also worried the pack was the inevitable full Moon they would have to deal with later in the evening. Usually it was only Malia who the pack had to worry about, seeing as Odessa could pretty much handle herself, but now they had to worry about the new Beta who wouldn't listen to anything Scott or Stiles had to say.
Liam was going to go ballistic under the full Moon, and he needed someone with him, whether he wanted it or not.
And that brought the pack to their free period. The teens gathered between the school busses in the parking lot to discuss what they should do with Liam and the full Moon.
"I'm not sharing my basement."
"Actually, it's my basement," Lydia scoffed at Malia's statement, pursing her lips, "and my Mom noticed how you tore it up last time."
Since Malia joined the pack, Lydia offered her family's lake house as refuge for the were-coyote on the full Moon. Odessa and Stiles would usually go with her to help her.
The Stilinski jumped to the girl's defense, "all right, she's still learning."
"But, we're going to use the boathouse for Liam," Scott announced, confident he could find a way to get the freshman to cooperate, "it's got support beams. We can chain him to one of them."
"But how do we get him out to the lake house if he doesn't trust us?"
While the Alpha sighed at Kira's question, Stiles gave his input from his stance next to Odessa, who was silently watching her friend's speak, "I say if it keeps him from murdering someone we chloroform the little bastard and throw him in the lake."
"Great," Odessa sighed in exaggeration, "kidnapping now murder."
"We're not killing or kidnapping him," Scott saw the deadpan the blonde in front of him gave him and backtracked, "again."
Lydia shrugged as if it was obvious, "then, let's be smarter. We tell him there's a party and invite him."
"You're gonna ask out a freshman, Lyds?"
"No, I'm done with teenage boys," the strawberry blonde pursed her lips at Odessa's question, "but, if we're playing a trick on someone, we'll have to use the trickster."
While everyone's eyes turned to Kira, the girl blanched, "who? Me? No way. Not me."
"Yes, you. You know what they call a female fox? A vixen."
"Me?"
Lydia smirked, already forming the makeover in her head, "you can do it, Kira. Be a vixen."
As the bell rang from the building, the pack started to disperse. Odessa pursed her lips at the idea in her mind, and before she could talk herself out of it, she called for the Alpha in front of her, "hey, Scott," when the boy turned to her, she asked hesitantly, "do you mind if I ask Silas to join us tonight? He used to help me during the full Moons. Maybe he could help?"
Bringing an outsider in the McCall pack was a tough decision for them. Their circle was small—and no matter who it was, there was going to be a level of distrust when it came to someone who wasn't in the pack. She remembered the cold shoulder Stiles gave her the first week of her being in Beacon Hills—so she could imagine the level of distrust everyone had toward Silas, no matter the history he and Odessa had.
Scott locked eyes with Stiles, who was slightly behind the blonde and watched her with furrowed and skeptical eyes. Seeing no negatives in Silas joining them at the lake house if he accepted, he nodded, "yeah. Yeah, I don't mind, Odie."
Giving him a grateful smile in return, the Stone used that as her time to leave for class, trying to ignore the hazel eyes that burned a hole on the back of her head as she walked away.
━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━
The car ride to the lake house was interesting, but at the same time, it wasn't. It was interesting in Odessa's eyes when she observed just how reserved Stiles could be to someone he didn't trust—or rather, someone he didn't trust around her. She wondered what happened to the Stiles who encouraged her to go to Silas for answers. It seemed now that she got the majority of what she was hoping to regain from her past, he wanted Silas as far away from her as possible. She appreciated his protectiveness with her, but she wished he could understand that she could handle herself.
On the other hand, the car ride was uninteresting because no one was talking. As soon as Silas climbed into the back of the Jeep, Stiles had completely gone silent, prompting the two werewolves in the Jeep to do the same. They would rather fill the car with silence then fill it with useless conversation.
It didn't take long for Silas to accept the invitation to tag along to the lake house. Odessa explained the situation to him while Stiles waited in the Jeep, keeping his hazel eyes on the pair that stood outside Silas' motel room.
As soon as Stiles parked the Jeep, the three got out of the car, not being able to handle the tense atmosphere. They met up with Malia and Lydia, who came together, and waited for Scott to pull up. When he did, the Alpha glanced around at the uneasy expressions around him and assured, "I just talked to Kira. She's on her way. She said it's all going fine."
"It's not that," Stiles moved closer to his best friend, "I have to tell you something. I asked around about Liam. I know why he got kicked out of his last school."
"This is going to be bad, isn't it?"
Stiles answered while taking out his phone, "he kind of got into it with one of his teachers. And... the kid's got some serious anger issues."
"How serious?"
"Well," the Stilinski showed Scott the photo pulled up on his phone, "that's his teacher's car," he motioned to the completely vandalized car in the picture, "after he took a crowbar to it."
Taking a closer look at the photo, Scott could see the words spray painted on the side of the car.
THIS IS YOUR FAULT
━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━
While the teens waited for Kira and Liam to arrive, they set up the chains Malia used for her full Moons. Odessa eyed the chains near her warily. She hoped she could control herself and not be another problem they had to deal with on top of the others who needed to gain control.
Another reason for Silas' presence that she wouldn't admit out loud was the chance that if she did need help, she had someone to turn to. She knew Stiles would jump at the chance to help her, but she knew Malia needed him more.
The front door opening caught everyone's attention as they watched Liam walk through the door with Kira behind him. Before the freshman could react, Kira had already closed the door, her back against it, "sorry..."
With a new found irritation, Liam turned back to the group of teens, "what the hell is this?"
"Think of it like an intervention," Stiles suggested bluntly, "you have a problem, Liam."
Scott stepped forward, "and we're the only ones that can help."
The Alpha then took the lead in explaining the world of the supernatural and what everyone was in the room. It took a few minutes for Liam to try and process everything, even though he still looked extremely skeptical.
"Werewolves," the new Beta pointed to Scott, Odessa and Silas, ignoring the blonde's mumbled correction of what she was, because technically, she was also an Ember, "werecoyote," the boy pointed to Malia, then to Lydia, "banshee," he then turned around to Kira, "fox?"
Kira shrugged at the term he used, "kitsune. But fox works."
"What are you," Liam nodded to Stiles.
"Uh, for a while, I was possessed by an evil spirit," the human shared, "it was very evil."
"What are you now?"
"Better. Uh..."
Rolling his eyes at the awkward response, Liam crossed his arms and glanced at the chains on the coffee table, "are those for me?"
"No," Malia answered for Scott, "they're for me," she flashed her blue eyes at him, causing him to tense.
Liam's breath started to pick up, "how did you do that?"
"You'll learn," the McCall assured the best he could, "but first, you need to get through the full Moon."
The werewolves and werecoyote in the room could hear Liam's heart rate start to race, "the Moon's already out."
"And you're starting to feel something, aren't you?"
Scott's words caused Liam's heart beat to spike, "I feel like I'm surrounded by a bunch of psychotic nut jobs. You guys are out of your freaking minds," the boy's voice grew louder with every sentence, "I don't know how you did that eye thing and I don't care. I'm walking out the door right now! If any of you try to stop me, I swear to God, I'm gonna," he stopped suddenly, grabbing his head and letting out a scream at the effects of the full Moon.
"What's wrong? Liam?"
"You don't hear that," Liam rasped, holding his head between his hands.
At his words, the ones with advanced hearing used their powers to hear cars and music coming closer to the house. Odessa and Silas glanced at each other in worry while Scott crouched down to Liam's level.
"Did you tell someone about this," Lydia narrowed her eyes. She didn't need more people coming in and trashing her lake house.
Liam panted, "my friend Mason," while the cheers of teens came from outside, the new Beta tried to defend himself, "you said it was a party."
"Who did Mason invite," Stiles asked, though he somewhat already knew the answer.
Kira looked back at her friends from her place at the window where she could see loads of teens coming to the house, "everyone."
Along with his groaning, Liam sprouted his claws and started to drag them across the floor.
"The floors," Lydia exclaimed, coming closer, "get him off the floors!"
She stopped in her tracks when Liam bared his teeth at her, his growl echoing through the house. Seeing that he was already losing control, Scott stepped in, "we need to get him to the boathouse. Now!"
With the help from Kira, the two hauled Liam away and down to the boathouse where they would be out of sight. As Odessa rolled her neck at the uncomfortable chill that went down her spine, Malia fell forward from next to her, leaning against the table.
"Odessa, Stiles," the Tate groaned, showing her fangs and glowing blue eyes.
"Okay, basement," Stiles launched forward, taking the bag of chains and helping Malia stay upright, "now. Now."
As Odessa started to follow, she stopped in her tracks at the dizzy spell that blossomed in her. Her face scrunched in discomfort while she faintly heard Silas and Stiles call her name. Her brown eyes locked with the latter's as she breathed, "I'm fine. Go with Malia."
"Odie—"
"Stiles, she needs you more. I'll be fine," the blonde looked up to Silas, who was looking down at her in concern, "come with me?"
"Always."
Giving Stiles one last assuring but pained filled smile, Odessa made her way up the stairs with Silas' assistance. She almost couldn't hear Stiles swear under his breath before guiding Malia to the basement. She knew he was going to be mad at her for this, but it was for the best.
Going into one of the spare rooms, Odessa's breath became heavier as Silas closed the door behind them and locked it for good measure. Seeing a bed in the corner of the room, Odessa staggered over and sat down on the edge of it. She could feel a line of sweat starting to form on her forehead, making her even more uncomfortable. The Stone took off her cropped cardigan and started to pace around the room, too restless to keep sitting down. The booming music from downstairs was pulsing in her ears, causing her to groan at the pounding of her head the music produced.
Silas watched her with calm eyes, glad to see the progress of her control. If they were still at the Salvation, she would've already tore apart her room by now. Now she was showing signs of someone who had control and was fighting the urges of the full Moon. The boy stayed in his place, not wanting to overwhelm the girl, "Odie, breathe. You're okay."
"I know, I know," the blonde sounded breathless, not stopping her movement to look at the boy, "I just have to ride it out," she then started to mutter her usual mantra under her breath, knowing it would help her.
Silas' brow furrowed at the unfamiliar phrase, taking a step forward, "what are you saying?"
Feeling her heart rate start to slow to its normal pace, Odessa looked to him, "the Sun, the Moon, the truth. It's this saying I use to calm down," she let herself swallow thickly before continuing, "I don't know where it's from, but on my first full Moon here I used it without thinking and it helped calm me down."
"Mhm," Silas hummed, pursing his lips in satisfaction at her explanation, "good to know," watching her sit on the bed once more, he slowly followed suit, sitting next to her, "I'm really proud of you."
The Ember couldn't help but smile at the phrase. No matter who said it to her, she liked hearing it come from someone close to her, "thanks. I'm actually really proud of myself, too," thankful she was back to her fullest control, she got up from the bed, "come on. Let's help Lydia with whatever the hell is going on downstairs."
Silas chuckled shortly before following suit. The two walked into the hallway, only to see a door at the end of the hall wide open. Curious, the two werewolves walked over to see Kira in the room, leaning over a sitting Lydia who had her laptop in front of her.
"What's going on," the blonde asked softly, making their presence known. Her worry only doubled when Kira gave her a look that gave her the feeling that something was wrong, "Lydia?"
As Odessa and Silas came behind Lydia's chair, they watched the girl type aimlessly with the laptop screen giving her codes that Odessa could recognize from the Math note's journal Lydia leant her. The three teams above the Banshee held their breath as they watched her type in a word one letter at a time at a slow pace. Odessa's breath hitched at the word that unlocked a list of her and her friend's names with numbers next to them.
ALLISON
"What the hell is this," Odessa breathed, her eyes scanning the different names and numbers in front of her.
"It's a list of supernaturals in Beacon Hills," Lydia answered instantly, "it's a deadpool. And we're all on it..."
