Night time

Neil - So the moral of the story is we should never give up.

Neil was telling a story to Avni while applying oil in her hair. She was listening to him very keenly. Neil's hands were doing wonders in her scalp while his words were acting as soothing music for Avni.

Avni - What do you mean Neilu ?  ( confused )

Neil chuckles.

Neil - We should never loose hopes in any situation. ( smiles )

Avni frowns cutely while Neil smiles at her cuteness.

Neil - Leave it, right now we have to sleep.

He ties her hairs in a bun while watching a video regarding the same.

Neil - Come babygirl. ( smiles )

Avni - I am not a  baby ( pouts ). Aahana is baby.

Neil - Aahana is your baby and you are my baby. ( cutely )

Avni pouts while he smiles at her.

Avni - Aahana....

Neil - She is sleeping in crib.

Avni - Shall I see her once ? Her sleep won't get disturb. Right ?

Neil - Go ahead ( smiles ).

Avni went towards Aahana's crib and admires her doll. She kissed Aahana's forehead and smiles at her. She turned back and found that Neil wasn't there in the room.

Avni - Neilu. ( she yelled his name )

Neil came inside the room while holding a glass in his hand.

Neil - What happened Avu ?

Avni - I thought you left again. ( teary eyes )

Neil's heart sank after listening her words, he kept the glass on the side table and spread his arms for Avni. She hugs him tightly while he rubs her back affectionately.

Neil - I am always there with you. I won't leave you.

Avni - Promise. ( while wiping her tears )

Neil - Promise. ( smiles )

He kissed her forehead and made her sit on the bed. He held the glass kept on side table and gave it to Avni.

Neil - You have to drink this.

Avni - What is this ? ( confused )

Neil - A healthy drink. ( smiles )

Avni - Healthy ? What is that ? ( frowns )

Neil - Drink this for your Neilu. Please.

Avni nods and gulps the drink in one go.

Avni - Yukk !! It has such a bad taste. ( while making face ). I don't like this drink.

Neil - It's a medicine baby and you have to take it daily.

Avni - Medicine ? What's that ? ( confused )

Neil - When we are not well, we take medicine.

Avni - Am I not well ? ( frowns )

Neil hugs her tightly.

Neil - ( in mind ) You will get well very soon Avu. It's a promise.

Avni - ( still clinging to him ) Am I sick ?

Neil - You aren't.

Avni - Then why you gave me that drink ?

Neil - For making you strong and healthy. My Avu have become weak, so that drink will help you in gaining strength.

Avni remains silent and buries her face in his chest. Neil broke the hug and plants a soft kiss on her forehead.

Neil - It's sleeping time. Come let's sleep.

He sits on the bed while Avni keeps her head in his lap. He caress her hairs lovingly, Avni's eyelids started becoming heavy and eventually she slept. Neil kissed her forehead and positioned her on the bed properly. He laid beside her and took her in his arms. She was sleeping peacefully while he was admiring his Avu with affection dripping from his eyes.

Soon sleep overtook him as well.

After a long day, they both were sleeping peacefully in each other's arms away from all the cruelty of this world. Their day started with their painful meeting after so many years and ended with beautiful smiles plastered on their faces. All those sufferings and horrible pain that shattered their inner self have transformed into a beautiful smile which is blended with love, devotion, respect and what not.

After dealing with all those severe emotions, their exhausted bodies demanded some amount of rest in  form of sleep which they both were receiving in the best way possible.

Morning time
8 : 00 am

Neil was busy in preparing breaking for his Avni while she was sleeping. Neil was engrossed in his work but his trance was broken due to his mobile's ringtone. A mere look on the caller I'd and his blood boiled after reminiscing all the past incidents that were moving in his head again and again.

He composed himself and received the call.

Neil - Yes mom.

Shweta - Neil where are you ? I.... ( Neil cuts her off )

Neil - I will come to meet you after 2 hours..

Shweta - But...

Before she can speak anything, Neil cuts the call and rubs his palms in his hairs getting frustrated due to his family's conspiracy against him and Avni.

Neil - I never thought that my own family will stoop so low. I don't want to face them after what they did with Avu but I have to tell them that their actions have ruined their relationship with me. ( huffed in anger )

He was boiling in anger but one cute voice was enough for composing his anger. He saw that Avni was coming out of the room with Aahana in her arms. She was looking very cute in that dishevelled state and frown.

Avni - Neilu ... ( innocently )

Neil did some breathing exercise and went out of the kitchen.

Neil - Good morning Avu. ( smiles )

He side hugged her and kissed her cheek. He then bend down and placed a soft kiss on Aahana's forehead making Avni smile.

Avni - Why you left me alone ? ( pouts )

Neil - I was cooking breakfast for you. ( smiles )

Avni - Really !! What you cook ?

Neil - I will tell you later. First you need to freshen up. Come with me.

He wraps his arm around her shoulder and take her towards their room. He placed Aahana in the crib and took Avni inside the washroom.

He made her brush her teeth after that he undressed her and gave her bath without any hesitation as he know that she is helpless at this moment and can't perform her routine works alone. After giving her bath, he wrapped a towel around her and brought her to the room.

He took out a long skirt and top for her from her wardrobe and made her wear her clothes. After that, he dries  her hairs and combed them.

At last, he pulled something from his pocket and smiled. Avni looked at him through the mirror and became confused.

Avni - Neilu why are you smiling. ( tapping her chin )

Neil - I want to give you something. ( smiles )

Avni - A gift. ( clapping her hands in excitement and her eyes sparkling in joy )

Neil smiles at her antics and wraps a chain around her neck which was the symbol of their love and relationship  that they both share. It was nuptial chain which bonded them in this relation and gave them rights on each other. They both are each other's soulmates who complete each other and are, "Enough for each other".

Avni looked at him with a questioning look.

Neil - This chain indicates that we both will live with each other forever.

Avni - Means now you won't leave me alone cos you tied this chain around my neck. ( innocently )

Neil - I won't leave you ever. ( caressing her hairs ).

Avni at once got up from the chain and threw herself into Neil's arms, he hugs her back and rubs her back tenderly.

Neil broke the hug and pulled out a small box from his pocket making Avni confuse again.

He took a pinch of vermilion from that box and filled Avni's hairline with it.

Neil - This means that your Neilu loves you. ( smiles )

Avni - Really !! ( smiles ) you love me.

Neil nods and spread his arms for her, Avni clings to him like a baby.

Avni - You love me and Aahana and you will not leave us. Right ?

Neil - I love you both, you both are my life.

Avni broke the hug and went towards Aahana, she engulfed Aahana in a warm hug and showers her face with number of kisses.

Avni - You heard Aahana, Neilu loves us. ( excitedly )

Neil smiles at her enthusiasm and wraps his arm around her shoulder.

Neil - Come let's have breakfast Avu.

Avni nods and they went out of the room. He made her sit on the dinning table and took Aahana in his arms.

Neil - You eat your breakfast and I will make her drink milk. ( while showing her the feeder filled with milk )

Avni - First make her drink then only I will eat. ( pouts )

Neil - Okay. Close your eyes and count 10.

Avni - Okay. ( happily )

Neil emptied the entire feeder into the  jug of milk placed on the dinning table while Avni was busy in counting. After sometime, she opened her eyes and saw that the feeder is empty.

Avni - Wow !! Aahana is my good baby. ( clapping )

Neil - I will place her on the couch and then we will have our food. Okay ?

Avni nods.

Neil placed the doll on the couch and made the boundary beside her using cushion so that Avni didn't get tense.
He came back to the dinning table and sat beside Avni.

Avni - Wait wait Neilu..

She stopped him as he was about to eat the pancakes from his plate.

She took his plate and decorated the pancakes with strawberries, maple syrup and dry fruits that were kept on the dinning table. Neil smiles as he remembered how she used to decorate her plate before having the food during their childhood. A memory worth cherishing and today she unknowingly recreated it.

Avni - Now it is beautiful na ? ( hopeful eyes )

Neil - Its very very very beautiful just like my Avu. ( pulling her cheeks while she giggles ).

He made her eat her food while she was talking about something or the other. After having their breakfast, Neil took Avni and Aahana inside the room.

Neil - Avu, I have to leave for my work  and I will return in the evening.

Listening this, Avni's smile faded and she held his hand tightly and tears started flowing from her eyes.

Neil - Don't cry baba. ( wiping her tears ). I will be away for few hours, after that I will come back to my Avu and Aahana.

Avni - Don't go. ( broken voice )

Neil - If I won't work then how will I bring gifts for you both.

Avni - I don't want gifts, please don't go. ( sniffing )

Neil hugs her and caress her hairs while she cries in his arms.

Neil - My Avu is a strong girl, right ?

Avni nods.

Neil - So she will manage herself in my absence as well. I know my Avu.

Avni broke the hug and wipes her tears.

Avni - Work is important. ( innocently )

Neil nods.

Avni - Okay you go but promise me that you will comeback soon.

Neil - I promise.

Avni - Not like this.

Neil - Then ?

She forward her little finger towards him and he understood her gesture. He entwined his finger with hers and assures her.

Neil - I promise. ( smiles )

Avni smiles and Neil kisses her forehead.

Neil - Take care. Okay ?

Avni nods.

Neil - And yes, I have arranged a worker.

Avni - Wo..worker.. ?

Neil - Yes, she is a wonderful aunt and she will take care of you and house in my absence.

Avni - She won't harm me and Aahana. Right ?

Neil - No, she won't. Don't be scared, she is very good.

Avni nods.

Neil - Bye. ( smiles )

Avni - Bye. ( smiles )

Neil collected his belongings and left the house.

Bebe - Neil have returned back yesterday still he didn't came here. What he is doing since yesterday ?

Neil - Rectifying my family's mistakes. ( sternly )

Entire Khanna family looked towards the main door where Neil was standing with a stern look on his face.
