The city's bright lights were now dim & faded.

Strolling through the empty streets,

Looking at all the gum stuck to the dirty pavement.

Lonely walks, and talks with the moon.

puts me in a sort of serene mood,

but I still remember how we'd run through these very streets,

and our favorite place to eat.

And our secret hideouts & where we both used to meet.

I remember how you hated wearing dresses, but would wear them when meeting me because you liked it when I called you pretty.

You lived across the street.

Do you still remember how we gave each other nicknames that rhymed,

and how you thought it was funny when we both smiled?

I miss those times.

You disappeared without saying goodbye,

you left me to drop from so high,

but if you ever appear in my dreams,

I would never want to open my eyes.

You once lived across the street,

but I'm just wondering, when's the next time we'll ever meet?
