Swinging on a swing,

sliding on a slide

We were little children, but we wore big smiles.

Oh, how our parents told us to,

"play nice, okay?"

They told us that more than ten times a day,

but we ignored them saying that everyday.

It's okay to fight & play,

laugh & cry.

Because we were just children, and we told lies sometimes.

People would pass by with their dogs that loved to bark.

We would play 'til our feet got muddy & then we'd leave our mark around the park.

We would always play, until the light posts turned on.

Only then would we realize, it was time to go home.

I still remember that park; it was like a kingdom where future kings & queens didn't need to wear crowns to play the part.

That park. It was almost as if it was our very own city,

now it's such a pity. We all grew distant.

We all suddenly parted with each other like when we used to play hide & seek in the dark.
