Don't you try & deny;

your lies kept her awake at night.

She would be up all night,

thinking about, 

"him & I."

She's daydreaming when it's night.

People think she's out of her mind & and it's all because of you,

her dear knight.

She often, 

dreamed that she would one day,

become queen,

but that was only because she thought you would be the perfect king.

You never had to try & sing,

because to her,

your voice was a melody stuck in her head.

She would replay it,

 over & over again.

You became someone she couldn't live without,

someone she dreamed about,

someone very special,

but that wasn't what it was all about.

To you,

she was just a clown,

someone to make you laugh when you're feeling down.

Someone to go out with just to hang around.

Someone who wasn't cared about. 

You took advantage & went that route,

but it was never the other way around.

She ran towards the finish line, 

hoping you would be there,

but instead,

you quit the race;

and left no trace of you being anywhere.

All her feelings were just a waste.

Because at the end,

she did not have a smiling face.

You were just a memory that needed to be erased.

She loved you so much,

but never got the same.
