"That. Fucking. Nerve. Eating. Bastard."

Donghyuck muttered to himself as he made his way to the nurse's office.

He was trying his hardest to not leave a trail of blood by pressing tissues to his nose, but he was either bleeding too profusely or the damn tissues were too thin.

He didn't know nor care, because all he could focus on at that moment was how he was going to get Jeno back after school.

That asshole thought it would be such a great idea to hit on Donghyuck's sister, Serim, to see how he would react.

Of course, Donghyuck got pissed off and tried to start a fight. It didn't go according to plan, though.

When he tried to throw the first punch, Jeno moved to the side, making Donghyuck misstep and fall into a desk. Hence, the bloody nose and Donghyuck's trip to the school nurse.

"Fuck. This hurts"

Donghyuck knew the nurse pretty well. This was his third year in high school and certainly not his first trip to the school nurse because he couldn't control his anger.

Ms. Kang was really kind and sweet. She usually just chided Donghyuck while patching him up before sending him on his way.

This would be his first trip to her office since he became a junior, so Donghyuck was looking forward to catching up with her.

He finally reached the door to the nurse's office. The wooden door was closed, it's gold brass plaque inscribed with 'school nurse' to show that he arrived at the right place. Donghyuck stopped in front of the door to catch his breath.

Donghyuck knocked and waited to hear the usual "come in", but was only met with silence. He frowned and tentatively opened the door before calling out.

"Ms.Kang? It's me, Donghyuck"

He opened the door further and peered in to only be confronted by a pair of fierce eyes. Instead of the brunette woman that usually tended his wounds, a man that Donghyuck has never seen before stood in her place.

"Did I say you could come in?"

The man crushed his cigarette before flicking it outside the window that he was standing by.

Donghyuck frowned even more. Who was this guy? Why was he smoking on school grounds?

"U-uh, I was looking for Ms.Kang. I'm kinda bleeding all over the place"

Donghyuck gestured to his nose and the bloody tissues with his free hand. The man grimaced in disgust and glared at Donghyuck like he was the most grotesque thing on the face of the planet.

"Don't get that shit on my floor. Seulgi or Ms.Kang, resigned after she had her baby a month ago. I'm the new school nurse"

Donghyuck widened his eyes when the man said he was the new school nurse.

This guy doesn't seem like the friendly type. What was the principal thinking when he hired this guy?

"Are you just going to stand there gaping like an idiot or are you going to come in here and let me see that nose?"

Donghyuck blinked and nodded before crossing over into the room and sitting down in the chair located by the nurse's desk.

The nurse took his time washing his hands and then put on gloves before he sat down in his chair and faced Donghyuck. He motioned for Donghyuck to pull the tissues away from his nose.

Donghyuck complied before letting out a gasp at the sudden contact when the nurse began to feel the bridge of his nose and the surrounding area.

"Hmph. It's not broken. I want you to lean forward a little and pinch the bridge of your nose. Sit like that for a few and that should stop the bleeding"

Donghyuck did as directed while he watched the nurse stand up and dispose of his gloves before washing his hands again.

The man was not tall, but not really short, and Donghyuck could tell he was built despite the loose, white lab coat.

Donghyuck couldn't help but study him. Earlier he was too shocked to really take in the man's appearance, but now that he had already processed the new information he was realizing how attractive the man was. 

He had black hair styled in an undercut, thin and arched eyebrows that seemed like they were probably always furrowed, and the most intense dark eyes Donghyuck had ever seen. 

Donghyuck was kind of glad his nose was already bleeding, because he wouldn't have wanted to explain a sudden nosebleed to this guy.

"So, how did this happen?"

Donghyuck was startled out of his thoughts by the sudden question and realized the nurse was standing in front him with an annoyed expression on his face.

"I tripped and fell face first into a desk"

He wasn't about to say that it's because he was trying to start a fight. He didn't know if this guy would turn him into the principal or not and Donghyuck had promised his sister that he would try to stay out of trouble for his remaining two years of high school.

"How clumsy can you be? I swear teenagers are like newborn calves, can't walk for shit"

Donghyuck's cheeks turned a bright pink out of embarrassment and he looked down at his feet to hide his blush.

After a few minutes of silence, Donghyuck heard the sink turn on and looked up to see the nurse washing his hands again.

The nurse snapped on some gloves and motioned for Donghyuck to take his hand away from his face. He proceeded to prod at Donghyuck's nose and took an alcohol wipe to the blood that had started to stain Donghyuck's skin.

Donghyuck tried to look everywhere but at the nurse. The guy was impossibly close and Donghyuck could feel the man's breath on his face, which was starting to affect Donghyuck in an utterly embarrassing way.

Damn teenage hormones. Why was this guy so attractive? His skin was flawless and it just made Donghyuck want to touch it.

Before Donghyuck could embarrass himself anymore, the nurse pulled away and nodded his head like he would just have to settle with the intense scrubbing he had just administered to Donghyuck's face.

Donghyuck peered up at him with a questioning look, but before he could say anything, the nurse spoke up.

"Okay, you're good to go. Next time you're rushing to take a shit, try not to trip over your own god damned feet"

Donghyuck blinked and opened his mouth several times, before just settling with a nod of his head.

The nurse flicked his wrist at Donghyuck, indicating that he should get up and leave, before going back to his chair and pulling out some paperwork.

Donghyuck reluctantly got up and started to head for the door to leave. Before he got to the door, he turned around and opened and closed his mouth a couple of more times, like a fish gasping for air.  Should he ask or should he just leave it alone?

Ah, fuck it. What do I have to lose?

"Excuse me. I was just wondering. What's your name?"

The man's shoulders tensed and then he sighed before he turned around in his chair and gave Donghyuck an annoyed look.

"You can address me as Mr.Lee. Is that all?"

Donghyuck absorbed this information greedily and nodded his head. He gave the nurse a small wave and started to back up towards the door.

"Thanks, Mr.Lee. Have a good day"

Mr.Lee nodded his head with a hum of acknowledgement before turning back to his paperwork, leaving Donghyuck to exit the office without another word.

As soon as Donghyuck closed the door behind him, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He began his track back to his class with a little hop in his step and a shit-eating grin on his face.

'Well, this is a new development. Oh man, I can't wait to tell Renjun about this'

Mark let out another sigh, this sigh was a little longer than the one he let escape after the boy asked him for his name. He put down the paperwork he was pretending to be distracted with and leaned back in his chair.

'Why did I let Johnny convince me to take this job? Oh right, Seulgi had to leave and he couldn't find anyone to replace her. Damn you, Johnny.'

He initially refused Johnny, because he didn't want to be stuck dealing with insufferable brats for most of the year.

Unfortunately Johnny is really good at convincing people to do things they don't want to do.

Luckily he wasn't as busy as he thought he would be. The boy that came in just now was the first of the day and the day was almost over.

Speaking of that boy, the damned brat lied to him about how he busted his nose. He could tell just by the kid's eyes, which were ridiculously intense and breathtaking by the way, because his emotions were plain as day.

Mark let out another sigh. He was going to have a talk with Johnny about this arrangement. He's not into kids, but if they are normally as attractive as that boy that just left, Mark might just have a problem.

Not that he would try anything, but why even give temptation the opportunity to rear its ugly head.

Mark reached for the phone on his desk and dialed the extension for Johnny's phone. Ring, ring, ring.

"It's principal Seo, how may I help you?"

"Hey, Johnny, we need to talk about this job you have me doing. I don't know if I can work with brats, especially if they've got eyes like this boy that just came in. I think I about drowned in them, they looked like the sea"

Mark could hear Johnny chuckling over the line, which made him narrow his eyes in a glare that Johnny could obviously not see but hoped that he could somehow feel it.

"Mark, I never knew you to be the type to be attracted to kids"

"I'm not, but I didn't realize they looked like they were in their 20s. What are you feeding these kids, growth hormones?"

With that Johnny laughed out loud, "I'm sure you'll be fine. I need you, school nurses are in short supply"

Mark could hear the emphasis Johnny put on the word "short" and growled out that he hoped Johnny ended up constipated for the next week before he slammed the phone down on its receiver.
