- HAN YUNMI

Yunmi's weakened body was sat on the floor, her back against the desk. The migraines she felt after Yejun hitting her in the head was almost deathly. At this moment she would rather die right now instead of feeling the pain in her head and body for another hour.

But despite her suffering, she wanted to make sure to get the truth herself about the whole case. Yunmi couldn't live without knowing what actually happened and why Yejun is acting like some sort of villain.

He sat in front of her, barely trying to comfort her by patting her back every few minutes. It was obvious he did feel bad, but he didn't care so much. "You look like you want to ask me something." He raised a brow, waiting for Yunmi to finally make a sound.

Yunmi barely looked into his eyes and a shiver ran down her spine. "Did you like me?"

He snorted. "Wow I just hit you in the head and that's your first concern?" He pat her head softly. "That's cute." She glared at him and he wasn't slow to notice. "Of course I did, everything I said to you during our argument was true."

She gulped. "Then why the hell did you cheat on me twice? Especially with Gyuvin's mom. That's disgusting. You're a messy person you know."

He scoffed at her behaviour and looked away. "What a hypocrite, you cheated too. I wouldn't be that surprised actually since we definitely didn't like each other at the start." He then turned back at her with a smile."It was only for the fun, it wasn't technically cheating. She was just some stupid lady who was desperate."

Yunmi rolled her eyes and managed to lift her head up to face him. "Then the second girl?"

"Ooh yeah, I forgot about that." He chuckled. "I think it's time for some story time." He grabbed a pillow and put it on her lap before sitting in front of her again. "The only reason I came to this school was so I could find someone I used to like."

She furrowed her eyebrows. "What? Like an ex or something?"

He nodded. "You were pretty close to her and I've always hated the boys you hung out with, so I just targeted you knowing you would probably fall for me soon enough." His voice suggested that he didn't feel bad at all and it made Yunmi kind of uncomfortable. "I dated you to get closer to your friend. I mean she was in your friend group..."

Yunmi couldn't even comprehend what he was saying and didn't understand a thing he meant. "So like I was just there to make her jealous or?"

"Kind of, but then at the same time I enjoyed annoying the three guys, so much to the point Gunwook tried to kill us." He put his hand over his heart and looked down, feigning sadness.

"But, the girl basically told me to fuck off and stop trying so I did." He shrugged again, looking back at Yunmi's weak face. "And then I started to like you, cute right? So basically I developed the same feelings for you that I had for her."

"Who is this 'her' exactly?" Yunmi asked, gripping onto the pillow. "You're telling me all the information besides who the fuck you're talking about."

"I'll only tell you if you agree to stay with me." He stood up and snatched the pillow from her grip. Yejun walked towards the laptop and tilted his head once he saw something from his monitors of the cctv. He saw Yujin at the main entrance and his eyes widened.

Yejun quickly took his burner phone out and started to text someone, panicking as he typed and secretly took a picture of Yunmi's body. He spotted a mug at the edge of the table and pushed it off, leading it to smash on top of the girl's head.

He slowly walked over to Yunmi and bent down before lifting her face up with his index finger. "Unfortunately you can't come with me yet, since you have some fucking saviours. I expected it anyway." He examined her state and noticed how the shards from the mug were all over her. "If you tell anyone I'm alive or that I hurt you, I will hurt myself like I hurt you." He started to chuckle.

Yunmi refused to answer or move. He was speaking so much that she didn't even notice that he left to the computer. Then, Yejun saw a group of people who he recognised a little too well walking towards the back door. He looked at Yunmi with a sigh and threw her phone down at her legs. "Sucks, they're already here. I couldn't even finish the whole truth you wanted." He clicked his tongue.

Yunmi furrowed her brows but then immediately knew who he was talking about. He knelt down again in front of her with a smile. "If you tell anyone how this happened, I will come back for you, understand?"

She hesitantly nodded and closed her eyes in fear he would do something again, just to open them and see him still looking at her with a smile. "If you tell them specifically, I'll actually kill myself and frame them for it." He cupped her face and chuckled again. "You wouldn't want that, I'm sure."

Yunmi felt so uncomfortable from his repeated threats that she physically couldn't even speak anymore, it got worse when he patted her head and whispered something in her ear. "I love you."

If this was a few months ago, she'd be so ecstatic about hearing those three words. But after seeing the aftermath of his fake death, everything about him had changed. His heart wasn't the same, and Yunmi's heart wasn't the same either. All of the feelings she had caught for him had gone away. Yejun was not who she wanted anymore. She didn't feel bad for him anymore. Maybe it was better if whoever had tried to kill him had killed him.

He got up and the door handle started to rattle, giving him his cue to escape through the same door he snuck her in through. Yunmi gulped as sweat began falling from her face, she couldn't even tell the difference between her tears or her sweat anymore.

The door smashed open, revealing way more people than she expected. "Yunmi!" A little too many people shouted. "Who did this to you?" Gyuvin asked in concern, kneeling down in front of her. "Are you hurt?" He started to take all of the broken mug pieces from her body and attempted to lift her up.

"Who the fuck did this to you?" His voice rose in anger but she still didn't respond as the overwhelming voices of the boys were overlapping over each other, all laced with concern and frustration. Yujin pushed Gyuvin aside and looked at his sister in horror. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you earlier." He whispered, his whole body shaking in guilt. "I'm such a bad brother."

"You're not a bad brother." Gunwook said, helping Gyuvin lift Yunmi's body up. "Whoever hurt her is the bad one here. Who hurt you Yunmi?" They all looked at her hoping for an answer but she didn't respond.

The door opened again, revealing Gyuvin's father with an expression full of fear. "What the hell happened here?"

Gyuvin clenched his teeth and made his way to Hyeri's room. "Hanbin can you get out for a second? I need to talk to Hyeri privately?" He said as he opened the door.

He looked in front of him and saw Hyeri painting Hanbin's nails. "Can't this wait? I'm styling him." Hyeri pouted in annoyance, ignoring Gyuvin's presence.

"No. This is like actually serious and it's only for you to know." He turned to Hanbin with a pleading smile. "Please?"

Hanbin didn't seem offended by his request and nodded with a smile. "I'll come back don't worry." He said to Hyeri with a laugh. "I'll get something to eat, your chefs are top tier." He got up and made his way straight out of Hyeri's room.

Once the two were alone, the girl crossed her arms and put the nail polish away. "What's so important that you had to kick Hanbin out? He was telling me the evidence for your parents."

Gyuvin scoffed and sat down on her bed. "I don't give a shit about that anymore, I have something to tell you."

"What?" She laid down comfortably on her bed and looked at Gyuvin with a frown. "Oh okay you look scary, did something happen to Yunmi-"

"Yunmi knows Yejun is alive-" He started, but got cut off straight away when Hyeri jumped up and turned to him in a state of disbelief.

"WHAT?!" Her voice was so loud that Gyuvin had to shut her up with a piercing glare. "Okay, sorry," She whispered, trying to calm down before recollecting the words. "She knows? How?"

Gyuvin sighed. "I found her in the Chaeri buiding and she was hurt." He explained, playing with his fingers. "And I'm pretty sure it's Yejun. There could be no one else who could have done it." He then groaned in anger. "Fuck, why did he have to hurt her?

Hyeri sat up straight and hummed. "But how did they both manage to end up in there anyway? But wait weren't you there earlier today?"

The boy gulped. "Yeah.... I went to the building for something but then as soon as I left, Yujin told me that Yunmi was in danger."

"He's a filthy bitch. He only decided to reveal himself ages after I found out he was alive." She put her finger on her chin as she pretended to think. "Maybe he's trying to frame your parents again."

Gyuvin's body tensed up and he felt like throwing up at the thought of his parents getting caught for something they didn't do. "Hyeri, why are you so persistent that it's my mom?"

Hyeri raised a brow. "Because Yejun and your mom dated?" She snorted and watched as his eyes widened. "Hanbin told you that already, didn't he?"

Gyuvin started to feel uneasy all at the thought of it. "Is my family really that messed up?" He turned to Hyeri. "Or is Yejun the one who did all of this shit to piss me off?"

"Both." She said with a shrug. "He's connected to like everyone in a bad way, I wouldn't be surprised if he's the person who is Z."
