CHAPTER SEVEN: yejun updates, maybe?

"So we finally have the autopsy back..." Gyuvin's father explained to the four. "It took a while since there was a mistake in documents and we made sure it got enough analysis as it could.. But surprisingly it did come back in less than a month." He took a piece of paper out and read it silently.

"So??" Gyuvin said with his arms crossed. "What are the results father?"

"It's analysed that he had died around four in the morning on March 20, and probable death seemed to be concussion related since there are dents in his head." He sighed and turned the page. "There were bruises on his wrists and that was all that they could find based on his body. However, there's also a chance he had suffocated since the police found him in a tight plastic bag."

Everyone in the room was silent and their hearts all dropped from the results, this was somehow the final straw that Yejun was actually dead and they felt their body hurt and tears build up.

"And the police are doing what exactly?" Gyuvin asked, breaking the sorrowful silence. "So someone grabbed him, hit him in the head and put him in a plastic bag? Wasn't the body inside of Chaeri?"

Gyuvin's father nodded slowly. "Yes, and all security footage was deleted. We have searched the school for any clues but nothing was found."

Gyuvin crossed his arms. "As I said, what are the police doing about this? Surely it's not that difficult to find something that could hit someone in the head that badly around the school grounds. The school was locked anyway, so like how come it's so difficult?"

"The police are trying their best, Gyuvin. All they have done recently is that they hired some detectives." He simply said. "You won't be interrogated yet since his parents want to bury his body first."

Gunwook sat up, straightening his back. "But Yejun wouldn't want that," He said with his voice laced with concern. "Why the fuck did they decide to do that? They don't even know who killed him."

Gyuvin's father could only sigh. "You see, his parents want their peace before focusing on the crime. They're making this case extremely hard to deal with and we can't do anything about it."

The four students all looked at each other in disbelief. Something weird was definitely going on. "Well why does his parents get a say in anything? I know it's their son but he's been murdered and they don't even want to know who did it?" Yunmi question suspiciously.

"You're supposed to be suspects. They just believe it's you and want to interrogate you after Yejun's body is put to rest." He gulped and wiped a tear. "You know it's hard for me to do all of this work based on what they want when they think my son killed their son."

Gyuvin frowned. "Okay, okay. Sorry for asking too many questions, I know it's hard for you and for us. We just can't be the right suspects, that's all." The others were shocked to hear Gyuvin say his first kind words.

"A lot has been going on but we finally revealed to the public that it was a murder instead of suicide." Jiwoong said as he walked towards them. "My parents won't let the police make their own suspects until later."

Yunmi exhaled. "So what are trhe media saying?"

"I know they mentioned Jiwoong." Ricky snorted. "Which is stupid, since Jiwoong is literally investigating."

Jiwoong smiled at Ricky and nodded. "Some of these theories are a stretch. One even said it was his parents."

"The media is putting their own silly theories. I doubt that your names won't be mentioned in these debates but I advise you all stay quiet and stay here." He then opened the door to welcome the four staff members again. "Remember that they are your companions here."

Gunwook heard faint sobbing from the bedroom and frowned. He assumed it was because of the autopsy report and sighed to himself before softly knocking on the door. "Yunmi can I cone in?"

The door opened and revealed Taerae who smiled at him. "Go inside, she needs your comfort." He said before patting the boy's back and walking out.

Gunwook was puzzled but still walked inside and closed the door behind him. "Yunmi?" He called as he walked slowly towards her. "Am I okay to stay here with you?"

Her crying never stopped and the only response he got was a sneeze from her. Gunwook snorted and sat next to her. "Is it okay if I'm here to comfort you? Can I hug-"

Yunmi had immediately pulled him into a hug and it was just like the first time they hugged after a year of no contact. This time he smiled and hugged her back.

Gunwook was the perfect person to be around at this moment; he could understand her feelings about the case. They were both the closest people to Yejun at all and he was also Yunmi's first friend. Hating each other or not, they seemed to still be best friends at heart.

"Gunwook I miss him so much." She coughed out. "I can't accept it. I tried to act fine that I didn't get told any news about him. But now that I have, I can't stop thinking about it."

He sighed and began to rub her back slowly. "I understand, I feel the same way. Except I wasn't in love with him." He chuckles. "Sorry, I feel like Yejun would've laughed at that joke."

She laughed in between her sobs. "He actually would've." She finally pulled away and sighed at Gunwook. "I'm so scared, people think we are the suspects?" She sniffled. "It still makes no sense to me."

The boy shrugged. "I'm not surprised they do. I'm just surprised no one is focusing on Gyuvin and Ricky right now."

Yunmi nodded in agreement. "They never liked him, I don't get why us two are even here." She then looked at the boy with a smile. "Thank you by the way, I know we aren't friends but I feel like we both needed that."

"It's no problem, I understand." He smiled a little bitterly. Gunwook wouldn't say it but he really wanted to be friends with Yunmi again. She's the only person who understands him when it comes to the case.

Yejun was the closest with Gunwook, and obviously in love with Yunmi. Some would say they were a perfect trio besides the fact Gunwook would be left out sometimes by the couple. And now that the two of them are left, it was obvious a part of them was empty.

"Um, also... why was Taerae in here with you by the way? Did he comfort you too?" He asked her curiously. "I mean, I know he's one of our staff members but I'd be too scared to cry in front of mine."

She nodded. "Well I cry easily as you know, and he was being really nice so I told him I appreciated it, but I asked that he finds you to come here instead. I can't open up to him about Yejun."

"I get it." He nodded. "I was too scared to show my emotional side about Yejun too. Matthew is really nice but I don't think I can ever open up to him about how Yejun hurt me."

"Jesus." Gyuvin snorted from the door. "You're still crying?" The two turned their heads to see Gyuvin leaning against the doorframe with a smirk. "I thought the sad emotional stuff about him ended ages ago."

Ricky elbowed Gyuvin and sighed. "I know how you guys feel.." He walked towards them. "I'm supposed to be mad at you but I really do get how you feel about what we found out today."

Gyuvin scoffed. "Yeah, that autopsy was a load of bullshit." He then looked at Yunmi. "And you're still going to cry like a bitch about it?"

"I hope you know the first time I cried was actually because of you being a dickhead, not exactly because of Yejun." She scoffed and stood up. "Why are you two here anyway?"

"Cause you were like, crying really loud." Gyuvin shrugged. "Oh and my father said we can finally go outside tomorrow. It's Saturday, so we can go wherever the fuck we want.

"Wait, tomorrow?" Ricky gasped. "Right after the news came out that it was a murder? Wouldn't that be suspicious and really risky for us?"

The door opened. "Sorry to disturb, I just had to tell you some more news." Hanbin smiled as he walked in. "You will be going back to college for one week after this weekend."

"Sorry what? A week?" Gyuvin looked at the boy in annoyance. "Who the fuck made that rule then? I thought we could just go wherever we wanted."

"Your father did." Hanbin chuckled. "It may seem like the wrong time but you still need some education and a small social escape from staying stuck in here."

"But I thought they were forcing in here everyday?" Gunwook hoped that after this point they wouldn't be forced in here anymore since for the past few weeks, all that they've been doing is argue with each other.

"You'll be going to and from school together. And you're still staying in this house. Gyuvin's father was told that little making amends was going on between you guys, so he thought forcing you in the same classes would do the job."

"You're joking right." Yunmi dropped her phone. "Can you not tell we still don't get along perfectly?

"Weren't you two just hugging and crying?" Gyuvin asked with a raised brow.

"That's not it. He means all of us." Gunwook sighed, pinching the top of his nose bridge. "These people are making some stupid choices about us you know."

"All this for some stupid boy's death." Gyuvin acoffed. And he stopped when the whole group was just glaring at him. "Whatever."
