The Paradisers

"Why are we forced to work!?"

"Why must we pay in order to eat!?"

"Where is the freedom in this world!?"

"The rich grow fat while the poor die!"

"We are all slaves to labor!"

"And is work fun? No! Of course not!"

"We refuse to work!" The bald man with a scar over his nose yelled furiously. "I, Hammerhead, will change our society into one where those who want to work will support the rest! We will create a utopia! I lead the Paradisers that will make this a reality!"

After the passionate speech he looked to the crowd for those noble enough to join his cause. But the citizens ignored him. They continued on with their day and walked right past Hammerhead's group of bulky bald guys.

"Boss, no one's listening," One of his own informed.

"What!?" He exclaimed in disbelief. "Foolish masses!"

"Let's go!" Hammerhead ordered. "Zeniru's the richest man in town! We'll wreck his posh penthouse to show them we're serious! High rise apartments are symbols of inequality!"

"Yes sir!!" The group marched behind him.

You slowly open your eyelids as the light from the balcony bathed into the room. You were cuddled into your warm blankets and could hear Saitama's soft snores from the futon beside you. You sat up and rubbed your eyes as you recalled the events from last night.

Oh yeah, I got fired. How am I gonna pay rent now? All the money I make at the restaurant goes directly back to the owner for damage compensation.

You knew Saitama would probably tell you that it was fine, but you didn't feel comfortable free loading. You needed to find a new job and quick.

You yawned quietly as you stretched out your arms. Then, as quietly as you could, you brushed up and changed into some shorts and a loose, white t-shirt. You grabbed a sticky note and jotted down that you would be heading out and that you would see the hero later. After putting a smiley face at the end, you stuck the paper onto the fridge door and headed out.

"This whole building is Zeniru's home," Hammerhead's lackey stated as the entire group stared up at the towering structure.

"There's no way he acquired so much money legally," Hammerhead growled. "Unforgiveable! Bring it down!"

"Yes sir!" His follower shouted. He retracted his hand just as the black suit he wore bulged his arm. Then, with a single punch, he brought down the building like it was made of dirt. People screamed in panic as the crushed concrete rained down.

"Target demolished!"

"Good," Hammerhead grinned. "These experimental battle suits sure pack a wallop. Stealing them certainly paid off."

"Wait, it was a different building," The previous lackey corrected himself as he studied the map in his hands. "My bad, Boss. Zeniru's house is further up."

Hammerhead wore an expression of utter silence until he finally recovered. "Everyone makes mistakes! What's important is we learn from them, am I right?"

"Yes sir!!"

"Alright, on to Zeniru's!"

"Stop there, villains!"

They all turned to behind them as the tire of the bicycle screeched on the pavement. The goggle cyclist clicked off the stand and proceeded to get off the bike. But before addressing the Paradisers, he continued to fiddle with other chains and gears.

Once finished, he faced the group with his arms raised. "I am the bicyclist for justice, Mumen Rider!"

"Mumen's come to save us!" A woman in the crowd of by standers cheered.

"There's nothing to fear if he's here!"

"A hero? Gimme a break," Hammerhead sniggered.

"Here I go!" Mumen shouted triumphantly as he ran forward, guns blazing. But the next thing the crowd knew, Mumen Rider was lying face down on the road with blood splattered where his head had landed.

A woman screamed as the other citizens either evacuated the area or stared at the scene in fear. "Somebody call an ambulance!"

A few moments after hearing about the commotion in City F, you thought maybe you should go see what was happening down there. When you did, you saw several people sitting off to the side being tended by paramedics who were helping those injured from the falling debris of a collapsed building.

As you went further into the destruction site, you saw a little boy with a red balloon crying to one of the medics. "You have to help him!" He said with big tear-filled eyes. "Mumen Rider was here too!"

Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but you tried to follow the boy's instruction about a missing person being around here. You stepped through the rubble until you were finally a good ways out of the medical zone area. You hoped that you would find the person soon. From that little boy's cries, it sounded like the person was in serious condition.

You almost gasped out loud when you spotted the body lying just a few feet in front of you. You climbed over some of the taller concrete pieces to get to the helmeted person.

You turned the over on their back and saw that their entire forehead was soaking with blood. You immediately tore off the goggles on his face and the green helmet he wore. You were nervous to see that the man's eyes were closed.

You grabbed their face and shook them lightly. "Hey can you hear me?"

No response.

You leaned your ear to his chest and thankfully heard a heartbeat. Again, you tried shaking him or patting him to wake up. "Hey!"

You were sitting there doing your best but you didn't receive any signs of waking up. You were about to give up and take him to the paramedics when the male began to open his eyes.

You smiled brightly. "You're okay! Thank goodness."

Mumen was perplexed. He remembered being knocked out by a bald man with a scar on his nose, but now he was questioning whether he survived it or not. He saw a beautiful girl with soft (h/c) hair gazing down at him, eyes filled with concern. She seemed to glow above him like a gentle flame, making his breath get caught in his throat. "Am I...dead?"

This seemed to amuse the angel. She shook her head and giggled. "No, but you are hurt."

Wait, if he wasn't dead than who was this...?

"Who are you?" Mumen questioned as he sat up.

"Whoa careful, you don't want to get up too fast," You warned, steadying him. "I'm (y/n), and you?"

"Mumen Rider," He replied.

"Well, Mumen, we've gotta get you to a doctor. There are some around right now, so you're in luck," You said, helping him to his feet. "Who did this to you?"

He groaned as you lead him through the rubble. "A group of thugs, the Paradisers."

"The Paradisers..." You repeated mysteriously.

Once you got Mumen to the medics, he thanked you for your help. "No problem," You beamed. "Let me handle the bad guys. I'll try to locate them."

"It's alright, you don't have to—"

"Don't worry about me," You grinned. "I can take care of myself. You should rest up, take it easy."

Then, you were jogging away from him. You seemed like an interesting person, very pretty too. "It was nice meeting you, (y/n)," Mumen sighed.

Saitama was quietly snoring when all of a sudden he jolted upright. "DON'T COME ASKING TO PLAY ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS WITH A BOOGER ON YOUR FINGER!!!" The bald man shrieked. He blinked and realized that he was at home and no one was asking to play rock, paper, scissors with a booger on their finger. "Oh, just a dream."

He let out a loud yawn and got up from the futon. He glanced over to yours and found it empty. Saitama was confused when he walked into the kitchen and began taking out his toothbrush when he saw a piece of paper hanging on the fridge door. He snatched it off and read its contents.

Dear Saitama,

I'm going to be out for a bit. Don't wait up on me, I should be home soon.

-(y/n)

Underneath all of it was a huge smiley face. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he folded the sticky note and slipped it into his pocket. He then grabbed the TV remote and switched it on to the news channel to see if anything was going on this morning.

"The terrorists identifying themselves as the Paradisers continue to wreak havoc in City F," The anchor on the TV informed. "They have destroyed a high-rising building in the area and the situation has yet to improve. We have just learned the leader's identity, B Class criminal, Hammerhead."

"He has been responsible for several violent incidents in the past. He is a man of large stature, standing at 7 ft. and weighing 462 lbs. According to one report, he once fought 20 men in a street brawl and sent them all to the hospital."

"The Paradisers sent the following message to the TV station: "We will continue riot until food, clothing, and shelter are provided free of charge to those who do not work" amongst other unintelligible demands."

"Sounds pretty boring," Saitama mutter as he took a sip of water to rinse his mouth.

"Like Hammerhead, the group is made up of unemployed young men..."

'No need for me to get involved,' He thought to himself.

"...with no motivation to work. All the group's member display shaven heads and exhibit a dangerous attitude."

This stopped Saitama dead in tracks. He glanced up at the TV screen in an extremely cold sweat.

"Those who encounter any bald men are advised to leave the area immediately."

"W-what...?" Saitama stared in disbelief. "They stole my look!"

He instantly ran to grab his hero uniform that was thrown needlessly on the floor. "I spend all this time trying to be a hero, but if they copy me people will treat me like a villain!"

He slammed his red gloved fists together angrily. "I'm gonna crush those guys!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mr. Zeniru, you must flee!" Zeniru's butler urged.
"Hm, but running away from terrorists would hurt my reputation," The pot bellied man said.
"There's no need to leave."
Both males turned to the new voice. There, sitting casually by the illuminant window, was a dark haired man with his arms crossed. "Lucky for you, this happened while I'm still under contract."
"B-but you're a bodyguard—!" The butler argued.
"Oh, Sonic!" The dark skinned millionaire beamed. "Is it alright if I leave this to you? I mean, you're up against—"
Sonic peered at him with his cold grey eyes. Then, in a split second, he was behind them. "Of course."
Both males whirled around as a shiver crawled up their spines. "It's their lives you should worry about," Sonic smirked sinisterly. "But please do think of a way to dispose of the pile of dead bodies."
"The Paradisers..." The 'bodyguard' mused to himself. "A bunch of upstarts equipped with some new type of battle suit. And B Class Criminal , Hammerhead."
"He might have some backbone."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So, they're headed for Zeniru's place? You thought to yourself as you followed the Paradisers path of destruction. The easiest way to get there is through the woods. They most likely would've crossed it.

Using a bit of your speed, you ran straight into the thicket of trees and tracked the thugs. It was fairly simple since they're suits weighed them down and left deep foot prints in the ground.

However, when you got there, you saw that their leader had stopped the party with a hand motion. You halted yourself before you were close enough to be noticed and hid behind a bush.

"Something's here..." Hammerhead murmured.

Crap...so much for stealth...

"I've been waiting for you, Hammerhead," You heard an ominous voice speak.

From the shadow cast from a miniature temple that stood on the side of the trail appeared a man in a fitted suit and hid the lower half of his face with a mask. "I work for Zeniru."

This amused the leader of the terrorists.

"Let me start out by saying no opponent of mine has ever escaped alive," The mysterious man said. "And I plan on keeping it that way."

"I'm a perfectionist in my work, but if you surrender right now, I'll let you live," He continued as he lowered the mask to reveal a malicious grin. "So, what'll it be?"

You quirked an eyebrow as you watched the events unfold in front of you. Who....who is this guy?

In Another Part of Town

"AH! A terrorist!"

"I'm not a terrorist!!" Saitama yelled.

Man, I love Sonic's character. I can't wait to introduce him to the reader :)
