You were awakened by the sound of a deafening explosion. Your upper body jolted off the brick wall as a large fog of smoke streamed down the alley. You hastily got up and ran out to the street to see what was going on.

However, the only thing you saw were crowds of citizens running away from something that was behind you. The thick smoke was getting worse; you could hardly breathe. You were coughing the gas out of your lungs when another when another flurry of explosions went off in three of the buildings in front of you.

People screamed in terror as pieces of concrete threatened to smash into them. You saw one particular mass falling directly onto a group of them as they tried to get out of the way. In a flash, you appeared in next to them and caught the massive rock in your hands. They had ducked just as you had prevented the impact.

"Get out of here! Quick!" You ordered, straining your muscles to hold up the weight while they scurried away. They safely made it out giving you the release of throwing the concrete away from you.

Just when you thought the area was out of the crossfire, another explosion erupted. This time, you felt it right at your back.

You screamed in pain as the whole street was blown up and you were sent colliding into the rubble. The attack was searing hot and you felt the skin on your back completely singed off and trying to regenerate on the spot. Unfortunately, the process was going to be slow since you were physically drained and lacking in health. Your power usage yesterday had really taken a toll on you.

But you weren't ready to give up just yet.

You saw some people had been injured by the hit of the bomb or whatever it was and were now gravely fighting to get out of the debris that crushed them. Your trembling arms lifted you out of the gravel and you began to help the survivors.

Using as much of your super strength as you could, you picked up the fragmented buildings as the citizens crawled out from under them. Most of them had minor injuries but others suffered greatly from split open skulls or broken bones. The ones that could still hold their own helped the severe victims get out of the area. In about thirty minutes, you evacuated most of them.

Your breathing had become shallow as you struggled to get to the next part of the city. There was surely more people in need of assistance and you couldn't stand by and let millions of people die. It was going to be difficult, but you were determined to utilize as much of your powers to save them. You were still worried as you felt your abilities waning on you.......

You were half way down the obliterated street when you felt your legs under you give out. You fell face first into the dirt. No matter how much you tried your numb limbs wouldn't respond to your commands.

"Shit....." You murmured. You were ready to just lay there for a while and regain some energy when you heard thundering footsteps walking towards you. Your eyes rolled to the side to see the tall beast.

His skin was a deep purple color that covered his entire muscular body. He had a pair of antennas sticking out from his head and an evil glint on his eyes. You cursed yourself vigorously as you tried to come up with some kind of plan to get out of there. But your body was in position to move even an inch. You still needed to recover some of your lost strength to be able to fight your way out or bolt.

The creature stretched out its hand towards you. You were confused at first but then you saw its monstrous hand grow ten times its size and understood that it planned to crush you.

'Well fuck......'

It was getting closer and closer to you and you shut your eyes to accept the momentary pain you were about to experience.

Except, it never came.

You were grabbed, that much you knew, but it was by a pair of strong, yet gentle hands. You opened your eyes and found yourself five feet away from where you originally were. You glanced up to see the face of your savior whose arms you were in.

He wore a yellow suit with a flowing white cape and a pair of leather red gloves. He lacked a set of hair but that might've been what distinguished him in your eyes.

"Oi, you okay?" He asked you.

You were still shocked you survived so it took you a moment to respond. "Uh, yeah....."

"Who're you?" The monster sneered.

The man smirked. "Just a guy who's a hero for fun."

"What kind of half-assed back story is that?" The creature glared, making a number of veins pop up from his forehead. "I was formed by the continuous pollution of the earth caused by you filthy humans! I am Vaccine Man!"

"The earth is a life form within itself and you humans are nothing but a virus eating away at its life!"

'He's doing this.....for earth........?' You stared quizzically. "Aren't you just making it worse by destroying the plants and trees lives you just burned down?"

"It will all be for the good of this planet in the end," Vaccine Man growled. "In order to obliterate humans and their evil civilization, the earth has given birth to me!!!" As his speech went on, you found his voice and form mutated into a bigger and deadlier version of itself. Spikes protruded from its skin and tusks rolled out from its mouth. Its eyes began to glow red as it continued to grow. "But you!" He pointed at yellow suited man. "You say you do this for fun? For fun!? You dare oppose nature's apostle for that reason!?"

The man sighed and set you down softly. "Excuse me for a second will you?" You blinked, genuinely confused if this guy knew what he was up against. The beast was now a gigantic size and it beared its claws and fangs at the two of you. There was no way this ordinary man could take this monster on.

"There is no cure for the human virus than to exterminate each and every single one of them!!!"

The man raised his fist and sent it sailing towards the creature. You shrieked for him to stop but your protest was caught in your throat as the punch made its impact. Before your eyes, Vaccine Man had been obliterated into pieces. His inwards flew out like rain.

Your eyes widened as big as saucers. Who....who is this guy........?

You were about to thank him for save your life when you saw the expression on his face.

"FUUUUUUUCK!!! Not again!!" He looked angry beyond compare. "Another fight that ends after only one punch!!!!"

Haha this is gonna be fun to write. I've got some major ideas for this book, so look out for them in the future! Thanks for reading! ^.^
