A Mysterious Attack

You awoke the next morning to shouting outside the door. You grumbled about how early it was and untangled yourself from the suffocating sheets. How you got all jumbled up and were fine sleeping like that, you didn't know.

"Whas that...?" Saitama groaned, sitting up slightly from his futon. You were crawling over to the door at a snail's pace but the person outside was lucky enough for you to even be getting out of bed.

"Sensei!" The familiar voice sounded again.

Once you reached the front door, you lazily opened the door and didn't bother standing up from the floor. You were surprised to find Genos staring at the straight ahead. After seeing that there was a figure at an even lower height, he tilted his head down to look at you. "(y/n) Sensei?"

You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you let out a yawn. Meanwhile, you were unaware that the spaghetti strap shirt you were wearing was slipping off your shoulders. Genos glanced away nervously as he saw how dangerously low cleavage level.

Fortunately, he didn't have to give you an explanation for doing so when Saitama inched over to you and further widened the door. He gazed at the cyborg peculiarly. "You actually showed up? What was your name again?"

"It's Genos, Saitama Sensei," Genos replied firmly.

"Can you not call me sensei?" Saitama asked.

You let out a laugh. "HA! Good luck with that!"

"Master!"

"Stop it with the Master stuff!"

Eventually, Genos ended up coming inside. You were keeping him company when Saitama reappeared in the living room carrying a tray with different colored cups.

"Look, drink up then leave. We're not looking for disciples," Saitama said bluntly.

"Then why'd you say yes in the first place?" You whispered.

"I didn't seriously think he'd come!" Saitama suddenly looked at Genos in surprise. "Oh hey you're back in one piece."

"Yes, thanks to (y/n) Sensei, I was able to return to Dr. Kuseno and get repaired since my body is mostly mechanical," Genos explained, giving you a knowing glance. "As long as there are parts, repairs are quick."

"Oh! It was nothing, I owed you so....oh yeah, do you want your clothes back?" You asked.

"It's fine, I don't need them," He waved you off.

Saitama looked between eh two of you curiously. "You two seem awfully familiar with one another..."

"Nah, we're pretty new to each other," You responded.

Genos lingered a scrutinizing gaze for a second. While still researching and studying you and Saitama, he pulled up some interesting results on your end. At first Genos was frustrated with the lack of information he had on you, but on the last day he had decided to approach you and Saitama the next day, he stumbled upon something strange. He followed you home hoping to find the your secret to your abilities, but instead he saw you confronting what appeared to be an old acquaintance of yours.

The white haired individual named Kura had addressed you 'Shini'. Death. He also spoke to you about someone named Arco, a person Genos couldn't find any data on.

Genos was very suspicious of your activities after that. He decided he'd keep a close eye on you while he got to know you more.

You caught his questioning expression and looked at him weirdly. In order to quickly recover from your penetrating gaze, Genos hurriedly changed the subject. "What kind of parts do you two use, Senseis?"

"Well, I'm kinda all natural. I can regenerate pretty well during battle," You replied.

"I don't use any," Saitama shrugged. Genos looked surprised by this. "Then what's that skin colored armor on your head?"

"That's my skin."

Genos brought a pensive hand to his chin. "But that would mean you're bald despite being so young...."

"SO WHAT IF I'M BALD!? SHUT UP!" Saitama shouted, clearly offended.

You burst out laughing. You had to hold your sides as they clenched in pain while you rolled around on the floor in hysterics. "OI, SHUT UP!" Saitama yelled at you.

You wiped the tears from your eyes as you turned to Genos with a big smile. "You, I like you, 'cause you're as blunt as I am."

Genos didn't understand the humor in his statement but went along with it. "Me? Would you like to know about me?"

You only shrugged while Saitama's face went bleak. "No thanks, I'm good."

"Four years ago, when I was 15, I was still a normal human being."

"Did you hear what I just said?" Saitama retorted. He gave a look like 'really?' but you only half smiled to encourage him to let Genos open up.

"Although we had to pinch for pennies, my family and I lived a peaceful and relatively happy life," Genos continued. "But one day, a rogue cyborg went out of control and attacked our town. The insane cyborg..... Most likely, a failed body modification generated an irregularity in his brain. He destroyed everything in sight. Parks, schools, buildings, my house....he even took my family's lives. Miraculously, I survived. I was just a weak, 15 year old boy, alone in the ruins of that town and at the end of my strength. That's when Dr. Kuseno happened to pass by. He was a scientist for justice on a mission to stop the destruction caused by the rampaging cyborg. I asked Dr. Kuseno to perform a procedure to modify my body. That's how I was reborn as a cyborg who fights for justice. I promised Dr. Kuseno that one day I would terminate the evil cyborg."

"Four years have passed since then. I'm now 19 and I've been wandering from town to town eliminating evil. I've defeated countless of monsters and criminal organizations, but I have been unable to find any clues on the insane cyborg and have become increasingly frustrated and restless. I find myself chasing a virtual image of that cyborg whenever I square off against my enemies. Then last week, when the mosquito monster appeared, I let my concentration slip. I was convinced I could not lose to anything but the rampaging cyborg, so I neglected to even analyze the data on my opponent and rushed to confront her. The result, as you know, was that an opponent with immense strength bested me. If you and (y/n) Sensei hadn't been in the area I would've undoubtedly been destroyed. You two have saved my life. My life that was first saved by Dr. Kuseno has now been saved by you and (y/n) Sensei. I feel the weight of that responsibility. I must not die before destroying that cyborg. And to do that, I must continue fighting evil as a righteous cyborg until he appears before me. I must get stronger! Last week, when I saw your guys' punches, I realized I had to study under you two as your disciple. If only I possessed such strength.... Sensei, I have an archenemy I must defeat! However, this battle is not only for myself but for my hometown and for Dr. Kuseno as well. I realize I'm still inexperienced, but I need enormous power so I can eradicate all evil!" (A/N: Slow appreciative clap to those who actually read that)

"Dr. Kuseno—"

By then you and Saitama had had it. "ENOUGH ALREADY!!! WE GET IT!!!" You exploded.

"SHORTEN THAT TO 20 WORDS OR LESS!!!" Saitama added.

"Mosquito Girl was defeated?" Inquired a dark haired male in the middle of a cluttered office area. "Well, without sucking blood she was just a weak insect, a mere prototype."

"Well about that," A doppelganger of the exact same man said as he read off the data from the spreadsheets in his hand. "She was defeated even after absorbing large quantities of blood. And in one punch."

"What?" The suited individual gasped.

"A small tracking camera recorded the confrontation," The clone said as he pulled up the footage on the holographic screen in front of them. "Here it is."

Images of the destruction popped up displaying a naked Saitama and you landing your final attack against the mosquito that ultimately splattered a whole building red.

"Why are they naked?" The dark haired male inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"Unknown."

"We also encountered a special person of importance," The clone added.

"Who?"

"(y/n) (l/n)."

The boss's eyes widened. "You mean....that girl everyone's been searching for? We found her?"

"Yes. Arco may be willing to pay us handsomely for her recapture if persuaded correctly," The clone smirked.

"Or...." The other man grinned mischievously. "She'd be more useful to us as our own test subject." The man replayed the video, paying careful attention to your abilities and tactics. "This other one and (y/n) will serve as excellent samples. With both their combined strengths, they may very well be the perfect human being we've been looking for. Arco's prized experiment may be our chance at beating him in the race for the super human."

"We shall study their physiology—By force, if necessary," He added. "Send a messenger and invite them here....to our House of Evolution."

"Understood," The clone smirked.

"Sensei, here's the short version," Genos began. "Please teach me the way to become strong like you two."

You and Saitama exchanged a glance. You both sighed and looked back at Genos. "I'm sorry, kid, but I never agreed to become your teacher in the first place," You replied gently. "That was all Saitama."

Genos nodded solemnly. "I understand."

"Oh well thanks for the back-up, (y/n)!" Saitama exclaimed.

"Oi, you dug yourself in this hole, you're not dragging me in there with you," You scoffed. Then, you leaned into his ear to whisper the next part. "Cut him some slack. He's been through a lot; all he wants is a chance to prove himself."

Saitama hummed thoughtfully. Finally, after a moment of silence, he spoke. "Genos."

"Yes!"

"How old are you?"

"I'm 19."

Saitama gazed down pensively. "You're young....I'm sure you'll surpass me in no time."

"And when you do, we'll have to fight sometime," You grinned in encouragement.

"Really!?" Genos said excitedly.

"I'm 25, but I started training when I was 22 in the summer," Saitama mused with a serious face. You glanced over to him with an impressed look. This was the first time you were hearing of this. "I'll teach you, but it's going to be difficult. Can you handle it?"

Genos appeared to be sizing himself then let out a hearty "YES!"

Then he suddenly sped over to the front door in a blur, a dark aura shadowed him enough for you two see his glowing gold eyes. He was in a kneeling running position, staring at the exit. "Object detected approaching at high speed—"

Right on time, a large, green pray mantis-like creature burst through the ceiling. The debris littered the floor as it left a gaping hole of a roof. "KEKEKE! My name is—"

Reacting on instinct, you screamed and rammed your foot through the monster's see through head. Your force was so powerful it killed the creature on contact.

"EW!" You wiped all the green goo from your foot in disgust. "Sorry guys. I panicked."

"And I was going to have that guy pay for my ceiling," Saitama sighed.

"There are more outside," Genos informed.

"If they were like this one, they shouldn't be a problem," You shrugged, pulling on some shoes and a jacket.

"Sensei, leave them to me!" Genos exclaimed as he darted out to the balcony and leapt down. You had already seen Saitama leave before Genos had even got out though.

You jumped down and found a slightly disappointed Genos while Saitama was angrily scolding a pair of strange monsters that were faced first in the sidewalk. "You ruined my ceiling!" He grumbled.

"Nevermind...." Genos mused. You clapped a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "Don't worry, you'll get your time to shine."

"Can't you guys use doors?" Saitama scowled. Just then, claw like hands shot out from the ground and grabbed Saitama's ankles. They pulled him straight through, leaving only his bald head for view.

"S-sensei!" Genos exclaimed.

"No, no, I'm fine," Saitama assured. "I kinda feel like a bamboo shoot."

You were abruptly alerted by the same claws traveling through the earth and were headed straight for you. You pounced on a nearby tree just inches before they grabbed you. "I don't want to feel like a bamboo shoot thank you very much," You muttered.

"Elevated energy levels detected," A voice suddenly droned. Before you knew it, the wall behind you and Genos was blasted through. Once the explosions fumes dissipated, you found an enormous metal machine glowering over you two.

"Another cyborg?" Genos gasped.

You stared in shock. Kura had said to wait for something 'fun'....You hoped that none of these occurrences had anything to do with your past....

Sorry for the lateness guys, I was having some family issues. I probably would've gotten it up sooner if Genos's backstory didn't take so long. I love the boy, but the whole time I was like 'SHUT YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE!' Haha anyway, hope you guys enjoyed X)
