A Disastrous Being

A Few Days Later...

You were once again prowling around the cities looking for something to do. It was nice seeing Saitama after so long even if your meeting him was in a dark part of your life. You decided to stay in the area for a while since an old friend lived here and you had nothing better to do.

Although, the thought did cross your mind that staying there with him would be a good thing if you ever needed help. Arco's minions were constantly sent to capture you and recently there frequency was getting higher. They took a lot out of you when you fought them off and they didn't let you rest the next day to recover some of that lost power. It didn't help that you rarely got anything to eat or a place to sleep either. You were honestly questioning when you were just suddenly going to drop dead from this sickly state of health you were in.

Thanks to Saitama though, you had gotten to eat more food than you ever had in months. It was occasional, but sometimes you guys would meet up unexpectedly, he would invite you over to his house and he would end up feeding you something. Saitama, of course, didn't know about your starving on the streets since you were too ashamed to admit that to him.

Having Saitama with you however, increased your odds of survival in another way too. You had to say the man was extremely powerful. Such strength combined with yours would be the ultimate duo for defeating some of Arco's lackeys. Saitama had a good heart and believed in doing what was right. He was one of the few people who you could rely on for help if ever needed.

But you also didn't want to burden him with your troubles. Saitama had nothing to do with your demons and it isn't fair to pull him into your situation. You couldn't do that to him.

You were still deep in thought when you suddenly bumped into the very man you were thinking about.

"(y/n)? What are you doing here?" Saitama asked, stopping mid run in front of you.

"Just walking, what's up? You look busy."

Before he could say anything else, a voice echoed in the distance.

"This is an emergency evacuation alarm, Level Demon. A giant creature has appeared in City D. The creature is currently heading towards City B. All residents of the area please evacuate immediately."

Your quirked your eyes strangely. "Uh, what city are we in?"

"B."

"Ooh, that sounds bad."

Just then, the building right next to you guys was pummeled into the ground. The debris flew at you two from all direction but you and Saitama easily knocked it away. You both looked up to see what the hell just happened.

Standing at an incredibly enormous height was a giant monster, bulging in muscles and completely naked. You sighed in disgust and looked away from the creature. "What kind of monster is this?"

"I don't know but I should probably go kill it," Saitama said.

"Oh, can I help?" You smiled enthusiastically. "I'm feeling way better today."

He raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? Can you take this guy?"

"Yes! I may have been pretty weak the first time you found me but trust me I'm better than that."

Saitama just shrugged. "Alright, let's go."

"Need a lift?" You extended your hand to him.

"Uh, sure," He replied cautiously taking your hand.

You squeezed your eyes shut and forced the muscles at your back to grow. Your power was a pretty impressive one too. You had the ability to evolve at will giving you the required powers for a certain situation. You also had some unique skills that you inherited from your mother, but other than that all other abilities were created by Arco's prison labs.

The skin on your back stretched out painfully as you bit your lip until it bled. It was a blessing and a curse to have this power. Your back morphed a pair of feathery white wings that protruding through torn slits on your shirt. By the end of the process you were in a cold sweat but happy you had been able to do it. It had been a while since you were able to pull up this much power.

You glanced at Saitama meekly but found him staring at your wings in awe. "Wha....."

"Haha, yeah I can do this," You offered a sheepish grin.

He held his hands up in defense. "Hey, I'm not complaining."

"Well, anyway let's do this!" You suddenly flapped the large muscles and shot upwards, taking Saitama by surprise.

The giant didn't even notice you two as you landed on his shoulder and kept destroying everything in its path. It wasn't until a few moments later that you realized someone else was up there with you both.

"Yes, that's right!! Scatter like rats!" An older man on the giant's opposite shoulder yelled with a psychotic smile on his face.

"He must be the mastermind behind this giant," You said to Saitama.

The creature was muttering something under his growl like breath that fueled the more he went on obliterating things. "I'm the strongest man, I'm the strongest man, I'm the strongest man, I'm the strongest man....."

"What do you think, little brother?" The man asked the beast.

"Yeah, how's it feel being the strongest?" Saitama blurted out boredly.

"What!? There are others on your shoulder!"

You looked up to the creature's face. "Put some pants on dude, no one wants to see your sights."

"Those two on your shoulder! Kill them!!" The guy cried out.

In a brooding stoic manner, the giant reached up to his shoulder and smacked the screaming man. Your eyes widened, you were totally not expecting that.

The creature looked down at his hand and shrieked so loud it nearly blew out your ears drums. Saitama even stuck his fingers in his ears. "BROTHER!!!!"

"HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!? I JUST WANTED TO BE STRONG!! AND MY DREAM FINALLY CAME TRUE!! WHY...!"

You gazed over to Saitama who was smiling like an idiot. You weren't sure how you should react but taking in all the damage the monster had caused you thought it better to just take this guy out quick. No sense in dragging this out any further.

Before you could move though, the giant had grabbed you and Saitama with its gigantic hand. "I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU TWO ARE, BUT IT'S YOUR FAULT MY BROTHER'S DEAD!!"

You yelped in surprise as he threw you two straight into a building, sending it crumbling down by the incredible force. It hurt a little bit, but you were able to speed your healing a lot quicker so you didn't have any fatal injuries.

You were about to get up from the dirt just when the creature came back with its stomping foot crushing you and Saitama further into the ground. It didn't stop there though. It then pummeled its fists into the hole that you were slowly sinking deeper into with each powerful fist it sailed into the floor. "BEHOLD OUR POWER!! THE STRONGEST BRAIN AND BRAWN BROTHERS!!"

After its utter destruction, it stood tall over the gaping abyss beneath it huffing and puffing. "I AM THE STRONGEST." It gazed down at its hand where a small platter of blood stained his palm. A large tear ran down his eyes. "So what if I am? I feel so empty."

"Right?"

You sat up from the crusty earth and looked at Saitama with concern. Granted it was extremely dark, however your eyes switch over to night vision. It was only one word that he spoke but he said it with so much underlying sorrow that it broke a little bit of you.

You helped him up off the grand and grabbed his hand to fly you both out of there. Your wings had repaired themselves fairly quickly and were ready to go. You sky rocketed the two of you out of there and out into the bright daylight.

You flew both of you at an amazing speed straight into the giant's face. With yours fists, you gathered up as much strength into your muscles and you guys punched the lights out of the creature with a single hit.

The giant's face swerved to the side in a painful motion as the blood spurted out of its mouth. "Having overwhelming power is boring as hell," Saitama said with a look of boredom.

The creature was down after that. It crashed to the ground taking out the entire city you were trying to protect. "Oops," You grimaced.

City B was annihilated that day.

"So, how can you grow wings again?" Saitama asked as you walked him home.

You sighed a laugh. "It's a long story. Just know that I can."

"It looked painful though..."

"Well, it is."

"Then why do you do it?"

You suddenly stopped walked. "Because....." You looked down pensively. "Because my pain is nothing compared to the pain other might suffer if I don't help them."

"That's a very noble of you," Saitama smiled. You grinned softly. "Thanks, but really I'm nothing special."

There was a small pause before he said something else. "Hey, so where do you live?"

"Me?" You asked, taken aback.

"Yeah, I've never seen you walk home or anything. You always walk with me."

"O-oh, it's 'cause....um...." You didn't know how to respond. You didn't want to tell him that—

"(y/n), do you.....have a home....?" Saitama questioned.

You stared at him in shock. "I.....I...."

You guys had just gotten to the building of his apartment. He was gazing at you strangely but you didn't want to lie to him. However, you also didn't want to tell him the truth. "I.....I don't—"

He sighed lightly. "You can stay here if you want, at least until you can afford to get your own place."

"What?" You said wide eyed.

"I can't let you keep living on the streets, that's just cruel," He mused. "It's alright, you can stay."

"B-but—"

"Come on inside," He said as he made his way up the stairs. "This'll be your home."

You stared up at him in amazement. "T-thank you...." You had a home now.....

"Sure thing," Saitama answered back, unknowing to the tear that rolled down your cheek.

Hey sorry for the lateness, my school work finally caught up to me. Things should go back to normal now though. I hope you guys are excited for the next chapter, I know I am XD
