"Hello, good evening. May I take your order?" The waitress questions as Jungkook's mind was still trying to decide on what to order.
"You know what? Surprise me." The boy simply says as he closes the menu and hands it back to the waitress.
Even though he was a multi-millionaire, he still went to places that weren't of high class. At the moment, he decided to go to a coffee shop that he had spotted on his way home the other day. Today, he thought it was a good opportunity to check it out. The waitress smiles and walks away leaving Jungkook alone with his cup of coffee, being his only type of comfort. He stared out the window, watching how parents walked by with their kids, and couples holding each other's hands.
Love is beautiful and the most powerful emotion...
And that is what Jungkook was being deprived of. The right to love, the right to find someone to love, and be with him for the rest of his life.
But how could Kim Taehyung take the place of him in that sentence?
Being the most powerful, also makes love the most dangerous emotion.
Which made Jungkook glad he wasn't going to have that so-called 'love' with Kim Taehyung. Jungkook's thoughts were interrupted when the waitress came back and placed an order on the table.
"This is the most expensive thing on your menu isn't it?" Jungkook questions as he inspects the food brought to him. The smile on the waitress vanished as soon as she heard those words.
"O-oh uh it's-" "It's fine. In fact, get me one of everything on your menu. I'll take it home." The waitress was left in shock. Even though his accusation was correct, he still wanted to order more?
"O-okay." The waitress stutters as she walks back to the front to prepare all the orders the boy had requested. Jungkook kept staring out the window, noticing how the leaves of the trees were shaking due to the afternoon wind. It looked so peaceful-
"IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS?! CLEAN THE DAMN TABLE!" Jungkook's eyes widen in shock when he hears the loud voice. He shifts his attention away from the window and looks at the owner of the rude voice. Jungkook saw a male that was standing in front of the waiter who had taken Jungkook's order only minutes before.
The waiter bows down as her mouth let out the words "I'm so sorry" and she cleans the table with every cleaning product she can find as the male scoffs in annoyance.
Who the duck is this disrespectful napkin?
Jungkook stands up and walks to where the dramatic scene was occurring. at first, the male ignores him and continues to eye the waitress who was trying her best to get rid of a stain on the table. Jungkoook clears his throat which finally gains the attention of the stranger.
"Yes?" The male asks coldly. Jungkook doesn't say a word and just stares. "Can I help you?" Jungkook rolls his eyes and grabs the cloth that the waitress is using to clean and makes her stand next to him. "Can't you see that she is cleaning?" The male states, while Jungkook simply ignores him. Jungkook continues his actions and proceeds to pick up where the waitress left off. the other boy is left in shock, eyes widened in reaction to the boy's generosity in cleaning for the girl. when finished, Jungkook hands the cloth back to the waitress and lets her leave.
"She hasn't taken my-" "I'll take it." Jungkook gestures toward the booth in a sarcastic manner. the boy sits down and looks at Jungkook who had left to retrieve a paper and pen.
The boy looks like he comes from a high class. No wonder he is so rude and disrespectful.
When he comes back, the boy is on his phone with a smirk on his face.
"What would you like to order sir?" Jungkook asks in a coldish tone as places the menu on the table and slides it over. the boy looks at it and flips through the pages, purposely taking longer to annoy Jungkook.
"I'll have...a-no, how about...that seems too greasy...this picture is fake...what do you suggest?" The boy asks Jungkook who has a disgusted look on his face.
"Well if you're going for something that's not sweet, it might be best to get an iced Americano with Chapssaltteok? Although I recommend you get something sweet as you clearly already live a bitter life." Taehyung's smirk immediately vanished, looking at the boy who now had the smirk on his face.
Who the fuck did this boy think he was? Did he know who he is?
"Excuse me? How dare you speak to me like that?" Jungkook laughs in response, which only makes Taehyung's blood boil more.
"I'm sorry, but I frankly don't care who you are. If you so much as dare disrespect anyone in here while I am here, you better wish Karma won't get you." Taehyung looks at the boy in disbelief of what he just said.
"The fuck? What the fuck are you saying?" Taehyung questions as he tries his best not to laugh. "Karma? What are you? Six?" Jungkook's face, which held a smile from his previous statement vanished, switching to one of embarrassment.
"N-no. Hurry up and order." Jungkook demands, pointing at the menu in Taehyung's hands. Seeing the boy in front of him struggle somehow satisfied him for some unknown reason.
"How about you get me what you recommended me earlier since you're so confident they go well together," Taehyung replies, making sure to look at the boy in an intimidating manner.
Duckface, Jungkook thinks to himself as he walks away from the table to tell the girl the males orders.
"His jawline can cut me like a paper cut if I'm being honest," Jungkook mutters to himself, realizing he had said his thought out loud. "Oh sheet," Jungkook whispers to himself as the girl he helped previously approaches him with the order.
"H-hey, this is what he ordered." She softly says, ending her sentence with a smile.
"Ah, okay." Jungkook takes the tray which held the contents and walks back to the table, where the male was currently entertained by his phone. "Here is your order," Jungkook states, walking away after placing the drink and treat on the table but is stopped by the boy.
"Hey. Sit there." The boy coldly states, pointing his finger to the seat in front of him.
"Why should I?" Jungkook asks in a sassy tone, slowly walking back to the table.
"Because I said so." The boy simply states as he once again gestures to the empty seat in front of him. Hesitantly, Jungkook sits down and looks out the window trying to avoid any eye contact with the boy in front of him.
Minutes pass by, the boys each not talking as Taehyung takes his time to taste the Americano he ordered along with the chapssaltteok.
"I have to say, your taste in food combinations isn't bad. Although it could improve in certain areas." Jungkook looks at the boy, who gets up and tosses money on the table. "That should cover the bill. Stay with the change, buy yourself a little something, pretty boy." Taehyung mockingly says as he walks away with a smirk.
Aish, he thinks he's the only one who could play at that game.
Jungkook watches as the boy walks away and scoffs, taking his phone out to text his friend Jimin to tell him what had just happened.

A bothered Jungkook looks up from his phone, currently horrified from the chat he just had. He never really knew how he became friends with Jimin but he never questioned it. Both boys had known each other for years, their families were friends in both business and life.
"I swear one day you'll get in trouble and be called a pervert," Jungkook mutters to himself, before grabbing the money that the boy tossed before leaving. He gets up and walks to the register, handing the money before bowing. "I'm sorry you had such a rude customer you shouldn't have to deal with people like that." Jungkook apologetically says, bowing once more before heading to the door.
"Sir, Wait! You forgot everything you ordered!" The girl calls out, quickly taking off after him with bags in her hands.
"Oh...thank you!" Jungkook replies with a smile on his face, grabbing the bags and heading out.
I wonder if Kim Taehyung is a douchebag.
Jungkook's train of thought is interrupted when he feels a drop of water against his cheek. He looks up, noticing the grayish clouds appearing to come closer.
It's going to rain...
"Duck. I didn't bring an umbrella." Jungkook softly mutters, looking around him to see if he could spot a convenience store to buy an umbrella. Just as he spots one, rain begins falling more and more causing people to run and rush to their destinations.
Jungkook quickly runs to the store and stands outside to look at the heavy rain.
"It's raining pretty hard eh?" A voice says with a chuckle. Jungkook looks beside him and sees an elderly man sitting on a bench that was placed outside the convenience store.
"Yes, it is." Jungkook humbly replies, taking him a few moments before noticing that the kind sir was not in the best clothes. The man looks at Jungkook when he noticed his state which intimidated the boy right away.
"I know what you're thinking...that man must not work because he's lazy." Jungkook's eyes widen in embarrassment, knowing that he just ruined his own first impression "No-" "It's okay, I get that a lot." The man continues, tapping the empty spot on the bench next to him. Jungkook walks over and sits, placing the bags from the cafe on the ground next to him. "You know, not everyone's story is the same. I had a home, beautiful, really. My wife and children loved it and so did I." Trying to avoid eye contact, Jungkook looks at the ground and listens to where the story would go. "But every perfect story must have its end at some point."
"What happened?" The boy questions, wondering how a loving family could vanish and just leave this poor man alone.
"One night. It only took one night to affect the rest of my life...the house burned down. It took all of my memories made in there, including those who I made them with." Jungkook looks over at the man, who looks out into the rain observing the rushing people.
"I-I'm sorry." The boy mumbles, grabbing the bags and handing them over. The man is taken aback, taking him a moment to realize what was happening.
"Oh you don't have to-" "Please, take it. I ordered far more than I can eat." Jungkook says as he stands up and walks into the convenience store. After a few minutes, he comes back out, with even more bags of food and goods. He hands them over again, and bows to show his respect. "Take care." Jungkook finally says before heading out into the rain.
"Don't you need an umbrella boy?" The man calls out, his face displaying worries for the boy could catch a cold.
"I LOVE THE RAIN SIR!" Jungkook yells back, before turning back around and starts running, enjoying the drops of water against his skin.
It isn't long after when the rain stops, and the sun was down. Alone, Jungkook was walking back home trying his best to walk slow. What happened before helped him distract himself from his thoughts, but they always seemed to come back when he was alone.
"I must do it for dad...he's done so much for me," Jungkook says to himself, kicking a rock on the ground repeatedly.
"Jungkook? Honey?" A sweet voice calls out, which Jungkook notices right away.
"Mom?" Jungkook calls back as his mother comes into his view. "I'm home..."
"Why are you so drenched? Are you okay? Why didn't you buy an umbrella?" Mrs. Jeon worriedly scolds, before hugging her son and bringing him inside for a change of clothes.
"It's okay, I'm fine. I'm going to sleep okay? I need yo wake up early tomorrow." Jungkook replies, walking himself up the stairs to his room.
"Kookie?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."

After Taehyung left the cafe with the smirk on his face, he felt a sensation of curiosity.
Who was that boy?
"He sure had the guts to say something," Taehyung mumbles to himself as he felt a vibration coming from his pocket. He takes his phone out and noticed Yoongi was calling him.
"Hello?" Taehyung says once he picks up, glaring at the people walking slowly in front of him.
"Hey, where are you?" The other boy says from his side of the phone.
"Why?" Taehyung coldly states, instantly regretting the tone he used.
"What do you mean why huh? I wanted to meet up and check up on you. I heard what your dad did. And show more respect remember I'm older than you." Yoongi now says, irritated at the younger boy's attitude.
"I'm sorry...how about we meet up at that bbq place from last time?" Taehyung suggests, switching his route to the new destination.
"All right, see you there," Yoongi says before ending the call. Both boys were friends since high school, as Yoongi was the only one able to read Taehyung like a book.
"So you okay?" Yoongi asks as he places their order to the waiter. Taehyung adjusts his posture, remembering the criticism his father gave him earlier.
"Yeah...no...I'm not but what can I do?" Taehyung replies, drinking the soju Yoongi has served him seconds prior.
"Nothing I guess...but you know who the boy is?" Yoongi continues asking, looking around them as if the boy they're talking about is around them.
"I know his name is Jeon Jungkook, but I don't know how he looks like." Both boys begin eating their food, talking about their guesses on how the boy named Jeon Jungkook might look like. After a few hours, the boys say their goodbyes and part ways, agreeing to meet up again the day after tomorrow.
"It was raining?" Taehyung questions out loud, observing the wet ground and objects around him. Taehyung walks back home and receives a welcome back sir from the maids as he walks back to his room.
Entering his room, Taehyung starts undressing as he prepares for a shower. He takes a few minutes in front of the mirror, looking at his eyes which were still a bit swollen from the prior crying.
"You must be good looking Jeon Jungkook," Taehyung coldly says, before entering the shower.
