PART TWO
A month had passed since Sunoo's surgery, and though he was back on his feet, he still felt the effects of the operation. He wasn't as strong as before, and his energy flagged easily. The boys had been watching him like hawks, always ready to step in if he needed rest, and Sunoo was grateful for their support.
Today, they were heading to the airport for their first overseas schedule since his recovery. Sunoo was excited to see the fans again, but a small part of him was nervous. Airports were always chaotic, and the crowds could be overwhelming. As they pulled up, he took a deep breath, trying to steel himself for the noise and flashing lights.
"Remember, just stay close to us," Heeseung said, noticing the tension in Sunoo's posture. "We'll get through this together."
Sunoo gave a small nod, grateful for the reassurance. "I'll be okay, hyung. Just... let's take it slow."
But as soon as they stepped inside, they were met with a wall of fans. The noise was deafening, and security struggled to keep a clear path as fans reached out to touch them, snapping photos and calling their names. Sunoo felt a wave of dizziness wash over him as the crowd closed in, his chest tightening as the noise grew louder.
The members tried to stay close, but the crowd was pressing in too tightly, and Sunoo found himself falling behind. His heart pounded in his chest, and he could feel himself starting to sweat, his vision beginning to blur as he struggled to stay upright. His breathing was shallow, and he felt the strength draining from his legs.
"Sunoo!" Jay called out, his voice muffled by the noise of the crowd. He tried to reach him, but the sea of fans was too thick.
Sunoo's head spun, and he could barely hear Jay's voice as the world around him seemed to close in. His legs gave out, and before he knew it, he was sinking to the floor, darkness creeping in around the edges of his vision.
When he woke up, he was in a quiet, dimly lit room. He blinked, disoriented, and slowly realized he was lying on a couch in a private airport lounge. His head felt heavy, and his body ached with exhaustion. He turned his head and saw his members around him, each of them looking pale and worried.
"You're awake," Jungwon whispered, his voice thick with relief. "We were so scared."
Sunoo managed a small, apologetic smile. "Sorry, guys... I didn't mean to cause so much trouble."
Heeseung shook his head, brushing a hand gently over Sunoo's forehead. "You don't have to apologize, Sunoo. We were just worried about you. You're still recovering—you need to take it easy."
Sunoo's chest tightened at the look of concern on their faces. "I didn't want to hold you back," he whispered, feeling the guilt settle in. "I thought I could handle it."
Jay took his hand, his tone firm but gentle. "You're not holding us back, Sunoo. You're our friend, and we're here to take care of each other. Don't push yourself too hard."
Sunghoon placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, his voice soft. "You went through a lot, Sunoo. There's no rush to get back to full strength. We'd rather wait for you than see you push yourself like this."
Tears filled Sunoo's eyes as he looked around at his members, each of them watching him with expressions of pure love and support. He knew he was lucky to have them by his side, and he felt a warmth in his heart as he reached out to hold their hands.
"Thank you... for being here for me," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I'll try not to push myself so hard from now on."
As they hugged him close, Sunoo felt his worries melt away, knowing he was safe with them. He promised himself he'd listen to his body from now on and lean on his friends when he needed them. And as they prepared to head to their next destination, he knew he could face anything with his members by his side, their love giving him the strength he needed to keep going.
