pray

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness,

and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

When I remember You on my bed,

I meditate on You in the night watches.

How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Your love is better than wine.

Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. You are fairer than the sons of men.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so are You, my Beloved among the sons. I sit down in Your shade with great delight, and Your fruit is sweet to my taste. You bring me to the banqueting house, and Your banner over me is love. Your countenance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars. Your mouth is most sweet … You are altogether lovely. You are my Beloved, and You are my friend.

Lord God, may I fall more in love with You today.
