Welcome to Week #2! This week will focus on self-care in the Emotional realm. And again, we will have two challenges to complete. The first activity is writing down five emotions that you felt today or any day this week and why you felt them. The next activity will be to create and perform a positive self-talk with yourself!

It is important to allow yourself to feel your emotions, even the negative ones. This exercise gives us awareness of emotions that we might be feeling and generally ignore on occasion. It might offer clarity or allow you to start feeling a sense of realization in asking the said question as to 'why' you are feeling such emotion for the day.

To help keep track and keep things organized, we've made you another worksheet!

So what is a positive self-talk, you might be asking?

Well, sometimes throughout the day, we might have a short conversation with ourselves, whether it is an inner monologue of listing what needs to be done or verbally speaking to the room and stating, "I need to do this, this, and this...." It is crucial that in this exercise that we stick to positive self-talk.

For example, take a gentle scan of what your day will look like and build a sentence that will uplift you. And keep you feeling energized. This could be anything from "I'm doing my very best." to "I might not be feeling too great right now, but it will get better later." This speaks into existence, as a positive mindest does wondrous things.

However, we want to avoid negative self-talk. These types of phrases might drag us down, and will not provide the correct mindset we need to tackle the day. Negative phrases could include "Everything is just terrible right now." or "I'm not smart to accomplish ____." If we think we can't do it, the probability of accomplishing it at the best of our ability falls considerably.
