Welcome to Week #3! This week will focus on self-care in the Intellectual realm. This time we will have one challenge, and it might be a bit tricky! The challenge for this week is to find a new hobby or find a new topic to learn.

Having a hobby that we enjoy doing gives us a sense of accomplishment and even provides us with the chance to learn a new skill set or find a new interest. It could be either big or small, but there are numerous benefits that come with taking on a hobby.

* * *

Benefit #1: It forces us to make time for ourselves. Some people have hobbies such as reading, writing, or even learning a new language. This hobby coexists with the intention of a goal. Reading or writing within a certain amount of time causes to keep a steady schedule. Whatever our designated new hobby is, it makes us carve out a bit of time every day to follow through with said plans.

Benefit #2: Has the ability to declutter our minds. This benefit ties in with the last benefit nicely, as it's shown that putting attention to a mental or physical hobby engages a sense of mindfulness. So as we learn to improve in said hobby or interest, it gives us a strong sense of accomplishment. Especially if we assumed we couldn't manage said hobby previously.
