Welcome to Week One!
This week will focus on self-care in the physical realm. There are two challenges to complete, the first being one might sound simple enough: Drinking enough water every day. But sometimes we have trouble getting into the routine in our busy lives, so it is very important WHY we must be kind to ourselves in this way, but more about that in a little bit.
The next is taking part in a Mindfulness Exercise. The link provided will bring you to a guided meditation, and in the following section, there are questions for you to ask yourself.

Staying hydrated is a vital part of our daily health. To allow our bodies to function properly, we need to give them the fuel to do so. According to the U.S National Academics of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine have stated that "About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men and about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women." (Mayo Clinic Staff) However, it is important to note that these can vary between person. And another source has confirmed that it can be possible to feel over-hydrated.

So what is a mindfulness exercise? To start, it's simply a moment to rejuvenate and decompress from the day's work. It is important to take a moment of relaxation and ease into winding down for the day. Or give yourself some quality time to slow down or even pause.
