#20 - Gather to Become Stronger (1)

The figure with rose hair stomped his foot and a spear from the ground formed, destroying all the hordes of monsters in an instant.

And in the chaos, the jewel-eyed man's gaze fell upon him.

"Gilyoungie!"

Ah... it was his Cale-hyung.

[Alberu Crossman's POV]

The past few months had been hectic. However, thanks to their fruitful research, every step was lighter.

Emperor Alberu Crossman's day became more colorful.

His palace, which once seemed so empty, now began to feel like his own palace again.

Especially on his living room sofa, Where 4 years ago, there would have been a red-haired young man sitting there. His attitude was relaxed while eating snacks with a typical flat face that looked at Alberu as if he was a pathetic man.

Beside the young man was a small Black Dragon that was always following him and Flew around the room with its cheerful voice. Not to forget, the duo of cats who played together. While across from the red-haired youth would sit his sword instructor with a small, satisfied smile.

The shadow that Alberu missed so much would soon return to its place and the young emperor could not wait.

"Good mood, hm?" Blue eyes blinked at his aunt Tasha who had arrived with several other dark elves. Followed by Bud and his right-hand man as well as Rosalyn and some of her subordinate Mages.

"Hm hmm~" Alberu hummed in response. He proceeded to Turn away, deciding to focus on his piling worksheets instead. Despite this, the smile did not disappear.

"How is the material collection going so far?" Asked the emperor to the blue-haired man who was now the most respected Mercenary chief.

"Smoothly as usual, Lord Emperor~"

"Miss Rosalyn?"

"Things are going easier," the red-haired woman replied with a smug smile.

Suddenly, their responses and expressions brought a wider, more genuine smile to Alberu's face.

Everyone looked more energized and more alive.

It was as if the hope that was once so small, almost faint and false had now turned into a small light that shone with certainty in the darkness of the night.

Ever since the incident where their research reached the world where Cale Henituse was healed, hope had made everyone breathe easier. Alberu had even heard that Eruhaben, the golden dragon who should have 'died' of age, had held back and survived in order to meet Cale.

"Is there any other information from Miss Cage?" Both Bud and Rosalyn had sour expressions.

"Nothing," Bud grumbled. While muttering curses to a certain god who was still giving them the silent treatment.

The God of Death, the one who had saved the fragment of Cale's soul to the other world, had disappeared in rotation in the past two years. Even so, thanks to that god, Cale's soul could be saved, Because the World Tree branch's brutal attack instantly killed his donsaeng.

And the death of their beloved figure was just a painful fact.

"Alberu!!!"

All eyes turned to Tasha, who suddenly entered with a strange look of worry and nervousness on her face. In her hand was their special communication orb, which immediately made Alberu, Rosalyn and Bud put on serious expressions.

"What's wrong, auntie-?"

"-fighting!" The bright red-haired mage blinked in confusion.

"Who... is fighting...?" The Dark Elf raised the communication ball and faintly, two distinct voices arguing with each other could be heard.

The Emperor's blue eyes widened, followed by the other two companions.

"Little Dragon Raon-nim?!" Bud dropped the papers in his hand with his mouth agape.

"And Eruhaben-nim?!" Now it was Rosalyn who looked so shocked that her face paled.

"What's going on?" Tasha shook her head, a worried look on her face.

"Jack called me. Said they had a big fight five minutes ago." That explanation made Alberu stand up from his seat.

"Miss Rosalyn, prepare our teleportation circle." The Mage nodded, beginning to set up a spell that encompassed Alberu, Bud and Gleen. Tasha would stay behind to supervise his work.

Alberu was worried.

Really worried.

Because in the 6 years of knowing Little Dragon Raon and Ancient Dragon Lord Eruhaben, this was the first time he saw the two dragons arguing for up to five minutes.

What worried various parties was, because this was an argument between the two dragons. It doesn't matter if Raon was 10 years old, the Little Lord was still a dragon.

The Emperor Of Roan hoped that everything would be alright-

*******

-their research room looked very disorganized.

Although it didn't disrupt the main project, it was such a messy scene that made Alberu's stomach felt like it had been surrounded by hot lead. That meant the two dragons had really had a big fight.

Blue eyes glanced at Choi Han, his instructor standing helplessly behind the black dragon in his human form, frantically Trying to calm down Roan who now looked so frightening. Blue orbs stared wide-eyed, crackling with a storm of electricity that made the black hair wild with power. The slits in his black eyes shrank with sharp intensity as well as elongated fangs and black scales that were visible on his small face area.

"Why won't you understand, Goldie Gramps?! Is it because I'm just a 10-year-old Little Dragon-?!"

"-do you know how important this project is?! You're the one who should want to meet him the most-!"

"-of course I want to meet my Father-!"

"-then-"

Raon's interlocutor, Eruhaben, in human form looked equally terrifying. His golden hair billowed with power, golden orbs with sharp slits, forehead veins protruding around the eyes and forehead, along with the addition of sharp nails that crackled with the power of golden light.

"-tell me the reason WHY YOU REFUSE TO CONTINUE THIS PROJECT!!!" Eruhaben's snarl and rumble made the hairs on the backs of all the occupants residing within the research room stand up. Their bodies were tense and their faces were pale and sweaty.

The last time they saw Eruhaben's expression like this was when Cale fainted after spewing copious amounts of black blood. It was a sight that Alberu did not want to see once again.

The Dragon's rage that despite age, was still terrifying. It was like watching nature itself aggravated and ready to destroy anything.

Yet, here they were, watching Eruhaben lose his mind to... Raon, who wanted this research to stop...?

"Wh-what-?" Hong's small voice echoed in the silence.

"Wh-why, Ra?" Now it was On's turn, looking almost as heartbroken by Eruhaben's words.

One by one, the faces of the people around Alberu had the same expression. As if not expecting that the reluctance came from a figure who desperately wanted to meet his favorite human.

"I-I-" overwhelmed by the reaction, Alberu's heart broke when he saw the small shoulders trembling. His blue eyes began to glaze over and tears welled up, accompanied by the sobs that had haunted them 4 years ago.

"Speak, little dragon-" Eruhaben hissed. A hand with sharp nails lifted up to knead his forehead, Started to feel it throbbing. A sigh sounded and they saw that the golden slitted eyes were still staring intently at Raon.

"-I'm pursuing this damn research, delaying my death to see my son's face! I want to make sure he's safe and that way I CAN DIE IN PEACE! DOES YOUR MIGHTY DRAGON MIND NOT UNDERSTAND MY REASONING?!"

"-I UNDERSTAND!" Cut in the little black dragon, hysterical and now crying and his voice-

"Raon-nim," Choi Han whispered, his voice trembling with heartache and black eyes just as glassy.

"THEN, TELL ME YOUR REASON-!"

"MY REASON IS THAT I DON'T WANT TO HURT MY HUMAN!!!"

Silence engulfed the room.

All, with pale faces, now had shocked expressions.

Jack, Hannah and Mary clung to each other in the corner of the room.

Bud and Glenn stood side by side, with the Chief Mercenary hiding behind the body of his secretary.

A sad Rosalyn and a tearful Lock tried to calm Hong and On by their side.

Ron and Beacrox with somber expressions on the other side of the teenage cat tribe.

Fredo had a blank expression, standing far behind Eruhaben with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Choi Han who was now kneeling by Raon's side, was trembling trying to wipe away the tears of the little boy who was sobbing violently.

And Alberu, the Emperor, stood helplessly watching as that sentence struck everyone's hearts cruelly.

What... did Raon mean by them hurting... Cale?

"...what do you mean...by hurting-?" Eruhaben's voice sounded oh god, so tired but filled with anxiety and his golden eyes flashed with pain.

Heavy.

That sentence was too much for them to bear.

"I-I hungh-! I-don't want to hurt my Father! *sobs! HUWAAA I DON'T WANT TO! I DON'T WANT TO! FATHER'S IN PAIN! MY HUMAN IN PAIN!!!"

The little boy, who was overwhelmed with emotions, now hugged Choi Han tightly. The black-robed knight immediately patted the bluish-black haired head, occasionally kissing it. Looking at Raon who was unable to continue his explanation, the Korean man stared while pleading for understanding to Eruhaben.

"Raon-nim felt a weird feeling when we were confronted by the strange entity behind the portal," the black haired man began to explain, his voice somber but filled with confusion and painful doubt.

"Raon-nim thought that the strange entity was actually preventing us from hurting Cale-nim."

Now it was Fredo's turn, who walked over and asked in a cautious voice.

"What do you mean by hurting Young Master Cale?" Choi Han was silent for a moment, Inhaling and exhaling slowly.

"...because Cale-nim was there alone, being a foreign person, Raon-nim thought that this entity was protecting Cale-nim," the man explained again, now sounding tired.

"T-there is a possibility... the authorities there realized w-we were a threat and... Cale-nim was affected...?"

The silence that resulted from Choi Han's explanation was eerie.

Their eyes slowly widened in realization and were horrified by the hard-hitting realization.

"EVERYONE!!!" Cage's voice broke through the silence, screaming behind the communication ball along with Taylor who tried to calm the woman down.

"THAT BASTARD GOD OF DEATH HAS ANSWERED!"

They were silent. Letting the woman gather every breath to explain. Even so, everyone was tense because Cage's voice did not sound so cheerful. Instead, it had an anxious tone that was unlike her usual nature.

"STOP IT! THEY'VE NOTICED US-!"

The heartbeat echoed so clearly.

"YOUNG MASTER CALE IS IN DANGER!"

Alberu felt that hope begin to fade again.

[Yoo Jonghyuk's POV]

Finding himself waking up on the train almost made Yoo Jonghyuk go berserk. The thought of regressing due to death by Kim Dokja's fist sounded so ridiculous that it destroyed his pride.

When he saw the sight of rotting corpses, bones, and pungent odors around him, it brought the realization that he did not regress this time. The door he kicked was also still in the same position, bringing a small sigh of relief to the Protagonist.

Then a blue screen appeared, bringing about the sub scenario of 'Survival Activities' for 10 days, informing them that hunting monsters would provide many coins to pay for his life in 10 days. That brought Yoo Jonghyuk to his current position. Adjacent to the surface of Seoul's first station, and destroying every monster he encountered.

Finishing off the monsters of the main scenario area #1 didn't make Yoo Jonghyuk sweat a bit.

The tall man with wavy black hair grunted and cleaned the monster's blood from the sword in one swift motion. He was satisfied to see that his ability remained the same as before the regression.

Black eyes darkened again, thinking of the moment before he was knocked out by that damn Prophet's fist. Right to his stomach and for the sake of regression, Jonghyuk would have countered that punch hundreds-no, thousands-of times more painfully.

And... Cale has witnessed the sight of him getting punched and passing out like a vulnerable, disgusting girl.

Also his little sister. Jonghyuk had seen the Prophet's woman carrying his sister! Where did that damn Prophet know-?

The sword's aura strengthened and he only saw the Prophet's face -why didn't he remember it clearly?- in the abstract appearance of a monster. Slashing the monster viciously from various angles, he was satisfied to imagine that it was the Prophet he was slashing right now.

Jonghyuk grunted and stopped monster hunting. Gathering some decent meat, the man cooked it with a simple recipe. He then chose a location not far from the first station while taking out an amulet for one of the Main Scenario #5 Guides.

So far, Jonghyuk had obtained an Amulet from the Sea Serpent Draqua that he fought alongside Cale and Jihye. This amulet is needed to awaken the Blue Meteorite on the North side of Seoul. Dark black eyes and a grim face. Whatever the Prophet had done had thwarted Jonghyuk's plans, and now he was in the opposite direction of his destination.

... given the words of the Wanderers he found outside the main scenario #4, they must have met Kim Dokja by now, as well as Yellow Meteorite.

Would Cale be with Dokja?

Did they go together? Again?

Why the fuck did he faint at such an important moment?

"Damn Prophet-" he growled, eyes grimly looking at the sub scenario and paid 500 coins as instructed.

Finishing dinner, Jonghyuk cleaned up the food utensils and stored them in the inventory safely. The man took a rather comfortable position, grumbling inwardly because if it wasn't the scenario sub who told him to sleep for 6 hours, Jonghyuk would definitely find a way to hit the Prophet.

Jonghyuk's gaze momentarily turned to stare at the Seoul night sky.

This time... it felt different.

The moment he had gazed up at the sky with Cale Henituse and Kim Dokja on that rooftop... it had changed Jonghyuk's sky until looking at it himself felt so... lonely.

The stars in the sky blinked beautifully, the constellations, mocking the suffering of the Incarnation and laughing at the ridiculousness of their human determination to survive.

Eyes narrowed, and a hand clenched on the hilt of the sword with heat burning in his stomach. The thought of those bastards laughing at him... laughing at Cale while contemplating about their ruined realm... laughing at the Prophet's determination to survive... felt unforgivable.

Shifting his gaze, Jonghyuk changed his sleeping position to a sitting one and crossed his arms in front of his chest. Gloomy eyes looked around as drowsiness began to attack.

Vaguely, like a dream, Jonghyuk could hear it.

And strangely, although it's not certain, it makes Yoo Jonghyuk feel safe...

******

( "-is he asleep?"

There was a small hand touching the wavy black bangs. His eyes opened slowly, taking in the sight of a man with long red hair with a beautiful accessory covering the right side of his locks. Reddish-brown eyes blinked twice, wide and innocent with small 'oh' shaped lips. Suddenly that expression brought a smile to his face.

"-you woke him up-" another person appeared, a somewhat blurry face. The figure was kneeling beside the younger man, cheek resting atop of the red head. He grinned with unique starry black eyes. Jonghyuk admired that face, because it had been a long time since there was only death to obscure-

"-are his eyes closed this time?" came another voice -who is that? -, sounding more shrill that he guessed that the owner of the voice was a woman. Shoulder-length black hair, a mole in the lower corner of the left eye, a grin identical to the owner of the star eyes and tucked above the two men.

The three of them looked back at him.

"What?"

Surprisingly, they laughed.

But he did not mind.

Their laughter just made the sweet warmth spread even more within him- )

When Yoo Jonghyuk woke up, dreams faded into memories that left an emptiness within him.

Black eyes look dazed while a hand rises to touch the shirt in front of his heart.

Although empty, Jonghyuk's heart strangely longs to fulfill that feeling.

Strange.

Very strange.

But lips trembled, teeth chattered and the man rose from his seat.

The black eyes became fierce and the group of monsters in front of him would become his outlet.

Until Yoo Jonghyuk met Kim Dokja, paid off his boxing debt, and saw Cale Henituse to ask how the red-haired man was doing, these monsters would be the price.

The Protagonist will grow stronger from previous regressions.

The Prophet Kim Dokja would not be prepared to face him.

(Heh 😏)

.
.

[Kim Dokja's POV]

"-obsessed with him?! He's not even a fixed character!" The eyes that were usually filled with starlight now looked dull. They looked at the coin farm he had just destroyed indifferently.

"Hey! Are you listening to me?! You-!"

"You're noisy," Dokja grumbled, sighing and letting go of the collar belonging to the pest he was beating. Satisfied, he watched them cower in fear.

"Just answer my question, bowl head! How much have you read? Why are you so fixated on Hanibaram?! Is it because he's the boyfriend of Yoo Jonghyuk-hiik ! YOU BASTARD-!" the woman he saved, claiming the name Han Sooyoung, screeched inelegantly as she felt Dokja's sword on the right side of her neck.

The Reader's mind was already racing when this crazy woman wouldn't stop babbling and trying to provoke him into answering her questions.

It sucks that Kim Dokja has to share Hanibaram's precious knowledge with this plagiarist. Moreover, in Sooyoung's plagiarized novel, the protagonist, who is so similar to Yoo mola-mola Jonghyuk, has a red-haired lover. Even though the character was female, remembering it made Dokja's anger and sourness evaporate unpleasantly.

"Hanibaram is not that damn mola-mola's bastard lover, you plagiarizing bastard. Because of you, everyone thinks Hanibaram is his lover when he's FUCKIN' NOT! You also made him the protagonist's lover in your trashy novel!!!"

"T-trash?! HOW DARE YOU-?!"

"You know nothing about Hanibaram and have the nerve to write down his holy character?! There is only one Hanibaram character and you have NO DAMN RIGHT to rewrite it-!"

Han Sooyoung gaped at that displeased voice full of possessive tone. There's something wrong with this guy's brain, isn't it?

"If it's not a lover, what is it?! Why are you so protective of him?! Is he more important than the Protagonist!?" The woman's snarl, revolving around the same topic and Dokja had had enough.

"Obviously! Hanibaram is a thousand times, no-millions, billions better than the Protagonist!"

"What's his power?! You stingy bastard!"

"What right do you have to know?! Hanibaram is already part of my party!"

"Damn it! Share! I have more information-!"

"Che, you fool shia. I know more than you, plagia-"

"Stop calling me that!!!"

The prisoners and some coin farmers glanced at the two human who were now fighting violently. Mentioning repeated subjects such as 'Hanibaram', 'Protagonist', 'lover' and colorful expletives.

"U-um..."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!" The woman scolded sounding very frustrated. While the man had a glowering face, eyes darkened by the thick emotion of resentment.

Scary. The poor man went back to cowering in his cell.

Ah, Dokja suddenly remembered the last sight of Cale running away from the Gwanghwamun area. Inevitably, anxiety and worry returned to him. Ignoring the woman's irritating call and the prisoner's half-hopeful, half-frightened gaze, Dokja left the rooftop of the Minosoft company building with cold indifference.

[Constellation 'Demon-Like Judge of Fire' waved enthusiastically at the incarnation 'Kim Dokja'!]

Dark eyes softened at the blue notification screen in front of him.

Giving a small, friendly smile, Dokja nodded at the constellation. One that had been with him since this world turned into a novel world, so it was no wonder that the Demon-like Judge of Fire already held a special place in his heart.

"Do you know how Cale is doing now?" Dokja asked softly, full of worry. At the same time, he told himself to purchase a long-distance communication skill without using constellations as intermediaries.

The 28-year-old could feel the figure behind the screen nodding.

[Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' says that Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' is asleep right now.]

Asleep?

[Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' says we are guarding Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' very well!]

[Constellation 'Queen of the Darkest Spring' is willing to guard an 'asset' for someone-]

The reader's face turned red at this one ambiguous sentence of the constellation, and aggressively shook his head. This caused the few who were watching behind the scenes laugh amusedly.

...surely the red-haired man is exhausted, right? Because he had been moving without sleep for three full days.

Unconsciously a small smile appeared on the Reader's face. A glimpse flashed through his memories, at the sleeping face of a beautiful young man on his chest with Gilyoung on the other side of his arm. They looked peaceful and it was Dokja who embraced them, protecting them.

Just As 'Hanibaram' had once kept him afloat, Together with Yoo Jonghyuk.

Ah, about the incident at Gwanghwamun... specifically the strange light that surrounded Cale, at the same time easing Dokja's pain from the probability. The head tilted in confusion and Dokja had no idea for any possible theories. Hm... he would think about it-

The whispers of the people Dokja had rescued came back and the gentle expression was gone in an instant.

"We're parting ways here. I'm not going to help you-" See their faces full of betrayal, Which then turned into anger and fighting over each other's items.

Is this what that bastard Dokkaebi wanted to show? To give Dokja an idea of a world without a king, By splitting up his party?

The starless black eyes then heard a sentence spoken by Han Sooyoung and uh oh, was it one of Yoo Jonghyuk's lines?

"Where's your phone?" Asked the 28 year old man curtly, hand outstretched and eyes hardened with unfriendliness.

"W-what's the p-phone for?"

"I already saved you. For the barter, give me your damn phone." Han Sooyoung looked like she wanted to refuse but Dokja took the phone quickly. His free hand easily restrained the woman, as he skimmed through the sentences of Han Sooyoung's plagiarized novel.

SSSSS Grade Infinite Regressor.

....

"Aren't you too much, hm?"

[Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' was curious about the contents of the novel that Incarnation 'Kim Dokja' was reading!]

"Look at this... this 'Character Information' panel is copied as much as you can. It's almost the same as TWSA! If you're a writer, shouldn't you change a few words, hm?" The Reader began to comment with a condescending look.

"B-but! It's still different!" retorted the woman, beginning to blush even as her eyes denied fiercely.

"Oh yeah?" mocked Dokja, waving lightly at the cell phone he was holding.

"TWSA's uses the words 'Constellation Sponsor'! Whereas mine is 'Star Contractor'! Those are two very different things!" Dokja pursed his lips, eyes darkening with cringe-inducing memories and then mentally shook his head.

"Okay. Let's pretend that part is true-"

"-YAK-!"

"-isn't your protagonist's name very similar? His character name is so similar! Joohyun! Then..."

Growling, the man pointed at a paragraph on the phone and pressed it against Han Sooyoung's forehead without mercy.

"ROSE?!" The short-haired woman chuckled. Suddenly, she felt her guts shrink at the sight of the taller man staring at her with murderous intent.

"YOU DARE NAME HANIBARAM AFTER ROSE-?!"

"SO WHAT SHOULD I DO? HIS HAIR IS RED LIKE A ROSE!" This woman's AUDACITY-

Inhaling and exhaling, Dokja began his argument again. Feeling his pride as a TWSA hardline reader -fan- was being trampled on by these ridiculous posts.

"Did you have to make Hanibaram and Yoo Jonghyuk's characters this OOC?! You... you-!" Still the argument collapsed, dokja feeling his emotions explode again. How dare Han Sooyoung turn two of Kim Dokja's favorite characters into a DAMN COUPLE?!

[Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' upset with censorship on some words!]

The man felt hysterical. Suddenly the bad memories of that one scene which had changed his entire life flashed back with 1080p resolution, so vivid that it almost made him smash his phone that day.

"Up to... huft... what chapter did you read the original novel?"

"Originally... 99 chapters but it went up to 105 because of that mysterious red-haired character..." the woman replied, with a surprised expression. It was as if she hadn't expected to answer Dokja's question, which instantly turned into a look of annoyance.

"Besides, don't these two have a special relationship?! Why are you taking offense?!"

Dokja viciously plugged the short black-haired woman's ear, Grinning inwardly in satisfaction when he heard her scream in pain. After almost two minutes, the man let go of her and became very quiet.

Han Sooyoung on the other hand began to feel nervous, Especially so since the expressionless face began to stare at her intently. Very scary, coupled with that devilish grin-

"Make a contract with me, Han Sooyoung."

That woman knew that she was about to be blackmailed...

*******

"-how far have you read TWSA?"

"-your three questions are up-"

"B-but-! This is the most important question?! Answer me-!"

The Reader easily ignored the other woman's protests.

"-impossible... right? What kind of idiot would read all the chapters of that novel-?!"

Yep. Kim Dokja is that idiot you're referring to.

The sound of clattering footsteps made the taller man reflexively pull the short-haired woman into hiding. Watching two different species with a group of humans approach the street near them, Black eyes widened, realizing that the newcomer was not a TWSA character. The gaze became devoid of emotions, as one of them called out about the 'coin farm' that Dokja had destroyed.

While listening to Han Sooyoung's explanation about the person who stopped reading, at the name mentioned, the Reader's eyes widen with cruel realization.

"His name is Song Minwoo-"

Along with the blurry memories, the nightmares of his school days flashed mercilessly.

Especially when the figure who had once been one of the people who tortured Dokja now stood towering over him.

[Non-Human Species Grades 6 'Werewolf Song Minwoo' is inspecting his territory.]

"Are you the one who destroyed my 'Coin Farm'?" the non-human grinned haughtily, as he activated his 'Predation Fear Lv.5' skill.

The fear generated by the skill made the Reader's consciousness disappear in a haze of painful memories. Just as the fist in the memories brought the pain into the real world, the man realized that Song Minwoo had punched him into the wall.

It hurt.

It hurt so much.

His stomach-black eyes widen.

Dokja's blank gaze now glanced at the part of his shirt which still looked perfect without any scuffs. Then a voice buzzed in his head.

[Item Grades S 'Black Knight Robe' has activated!]

... is this the clothes that Cale lent him?

Kim Dokja gasped in disbelief. Lost in shock, he did not realize how the ugly red-furred werewolf was now clutching the front of Cale's precious robe that he was wearing. Part of Dokja's consciousness was upset that this bastard had dared to tamper with the clothes Hanibaram had specially loaned him!

However, as the grip tightened, so did fear as it begin to take over-

"-WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?! WAKE UP AND KILL THAT BASTARD, KIM DOKJA-!"

The movement and growling stopped for a moment, and when Dokja was fully awake, realization dawned in those red and yellow-lidded eyes.

"Ah... you're that loser, aren't you?" giggled Song Minwoo.

[Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' is gnashing her teeth at 'Werewolf Song Minwoo's bastard!]

[Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden headband' is annoyed.]

[Constellation 'Queen of Darkest Spring' makes the air temperature colder!]

While Dokja's mind questioned the fact that the bully was reading novels, on the other hand he tried to release the grip. The skill 'Predation Fear' slowly began to weaken his mental status and it affected his stats as well. Let Dokja remind you of one thing, in this damn situation-!

"-I'm Song Minwoo. You haven't forgotten your classmate's face, have you?"

['Predation Fear' has reduced your fighting spirit!]

"-crazy. A punk like you can survive too, huh?"

[Exclusive Skill 'Fourth Wall' is fading away!]

Damn it! Why does his strength keep weakening-! Dokja must release this bastard's restraints-!

"-good. Good. I was also wondering if you were still alive-"

Black eyes widened and ah... Dokja understood now.

Obsidian irises were starting to lose their starlight.

It wasn't that this bastard was strong... but the problem was with myself.

"Oi. Do you still remember what novel you were reading back then, loser-?" The Reader's blurry gaze saw Song Minwoo grinning uglily and his eyes flashing with terrifying oppressive lust.

[The 'Fourth Wall' Exclusive Skill is faltering].

"You know where the novel is it? Hm? Is it still with you-?"

This 'Fourth Wall' skill... Dokja's eyes widened as the realization hit his mind.

"And that strong, beautiful redhead-" The dark-haired man's heart dropped to his gut as the red werewolf began to mention Hanibaram's trademark. As the sharp-clawed hand rose, Dokja felt a terrible heat evaporate inside him.

[Exclusive Skill 'Fourth Wall' stops faltering.]

... huh?

Han Sooyoung's voice sounded faint. Seeing that the Reader's body was now thrown nearly 10 meters away and crashed into the wall of the building, it left behind an inhumane crack that could crush a normal body. Even so, Kim Dokja felt dazed by the new information he now possessed.

Although the Reader did not yet know the extent of this skill's effects, one thing was certain.

That this skill... made Dokja see the TWSA world that had become a reality as if it were a work of fiction.

....

Isn't all this strange? That sometimes Dokja felt he could make decisions to behave differently from his real life? As if one day he could calmly view the world from an outside perspective.

All of that... because Dokja has a 'Fourth Wall'-

"Oi, bastard! What are you doing-?!"

"-you told me to trust you-!"

"-so what's this, huh?!"

"-why aren't you awake yet-?! WAKE UP YOU BASTARD!"

The eyes that had been dazzled blinked into consciousness. One small memory that flashed by made a strange realization return to his mind.

That... when Song Minwoo mentioned Hanibaram... the 'Fourth Wall' skill stopped faltering... right?

(Eyes blinked weakly, seeing Han Sooyoung trying to face Song Minwoo along with several other Incarnations.)

According to Dokja's understanding, 'Fourth Wall' is like showing a theater scene. Where the world he saw now was a theater and he was the audience. Even though they were still in the same room, this skill still made Dokja realize that what he was seeing now was not reality-

...did this skill falter because Dokja didn't want to see Song Minwoo as reality?

But, what about Hanibaram?

...

(Still in a daze, but with eyes blinking more consciously and more clearly, the Reader stands back up.)

Let's think about it after Dokja takes care of that bastard.

"Isn't winning easily boring?" said Dokja, grinning sarcastically as he now stood next to Sooyoung.

"Aha, that's why you're pretending to be weak?"

"Just a quick introspection."

The starry-eyed man could feel Sooyoung's lingering gaze, then the woman spoke in a cold, affirming voice.

"Don't take trauma for granted."

Dokja could feel his heart almost stop beating as the words came easily from Sooyoung's lips.

"All trauma is serious."

The reader fell silent.

His eyes passively gazed at Song Minwoo, who was still eager to finish off the Incarnation before him. Brows furrowed, thinking that the bastard read until Hanibaram's chapter was introduced... or was it because he heard the rumors about Hanibaram that had already spread? Because of this woman-

"Yak!? Why are you looking at me like that, eoh?! This noona helped you, you should be grateful-!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah-" cut in the other man ignorantly.

Footsteps began to sound as Dokja slowly switched to his fighting side. The right hand moved to pick up the sword while the left rose to brush the front of his hair, combing it roughly backwards. This made the face clearly visible to the world in the 'Fourth Wall' perspective.

For the time being, Dokja did not have to worry about physical injuries. The clothes loaned by Cale were extremely rare S-class items that could withstand any attack.

The real problem now was this damn thing in front of him.

Remember Kim Dokja.

That beast is not human. The bully named Song Minwoo who ruined his school days is long gone, now remaining only in the frame of a monster of a non-human species.

Dokja was now 28 years old. With a body reaching a height of 180 cm, a well-built chest, hands roughened by hard work, and stronger than ever.

[Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' smiles a small smile.]

He is not the 17-year-old high school student who is always panicking because of bullies, with a weak, small frame. He wasn't short, had fragile shoulders with wounds all over his body and cried every night.

( The image of a red-haired man, with strands of hair fluttering sweetly in the wind flashed through his mind. A laughing face, arching of eyes and giving a faint blush to his cheeks. The young man's hand was outstretched, as if beckoning him to join them.

So did the man with wavy black hair. His sharp eyes looked more subdued, softening the sharp features with a rare smile on those full lips. His hands crossed in front of his chest, then tilted his head lightly. Staring judgmentally, as if questioning why he didn't walk over.

And finally there was a new person. Shorter than all of them with shoulder-length black hair. A cheerful grin on her face that waved at him enthusiastically, Making fun of the tallest man and pinching the cheeks of the red-haired man. Not forgetting to make a seductive face at him, as if if he didn't hurry up, the beautiful garnett-eyed man would be taken.

"Dokja-hyungnim. Come here-!" )

[Cale Henituse's POV]

After being mistaken for the red-haired youth quite far away, reddish-brown eyes glanced at the surrounding area. Eyes narrowed with nostalgia filled with sadness. The image of Seoul now compared to Kim Roksoo's world was not much different and he was in the same situation before encountering Lee Soohyuk.

The difference here was that Cale could move without fatigue.

The view of the Gwanghwamun gate area and district disappeared as Cale stepped into the hotel complex in Jongno-gu.

Wiping away the sweat, Cale entered one of the hotels. He easily ignored the various decomposed corpses and bones that surrounded the entire hotel complex. Looking at the inactive elevator -certainly a pabo-, Cale climbed the stairs to the second floor and entered one of the hotel rooms at the end of the floor.

Finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, Cale sat down on the edge of the hotel bed, only to Frown once he felt the dusty place. Face turned upwards, inwardly grumbling why this whole situation was so troublesome.

Opening the Dokkaebi shop, Cale ordered two new blankets and two pillows. Hands swiftly removed the old pillows, blankets and hotel sheets, and Replaced them carefully with the items He had bought. Nodding his head in satisfaction at the tempting sight, the young man soon realized that he would be soiling the blanket in an instant with this... blood covered state of clothing. Cale's skin also felt sticky and his hair was damp from the rain.

Reddish-brown eyes then stared intently at the ceiling.

"If you peek, you Constellation-nims are very perverted."

In an instant, dozens of screens appeared and filled his vision with a pink sheen on the blue holograms.

Cale snorted and crossed his arms in annoyance.

"I'm going to take a shower and would appreciate being given some privacy to clean myself up," the garnett-eyed man said before putting on a sullen face.

"Unless... you still want to see me...?" Two hands were now crossed in front of his chest and his face was turned to the side with an expression that looked sad and shady.

There is something different about this constellation. The title sounded beautiful and tense at the same time. Cale felt that something was happening behind that screen, evident with the several blue screens that began to disappear one by one.

[Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' told Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' not to worry about pests.]

"Bihyung-nim?"

Dokja had explained that each of the Dokkaebi's channels was based on the first region of Main Scenario #1. So wherever the incarnation from that region went, it still had its original channel manager. Cale did not know the origin of this 'body's' original channel in this world, so perhaps if he used Dokja's original channel it would work-?

"Yes, Incarnation Cale Henituse?" the distinctive voice of the Dokkaebi working with Dokja sounded above Cale. The young man breathed a sigh of relief inwardly, instead giving a small smile.

"Can you... turn off your stream? I want to take a shower without anyone seeing me." Eyes with black scales and red pupils blinked in confusion. The Korean spiritual being slowly floated over to the beautiful human and crossed both tiny arms in front of his furry chest.

In this calm mode, Dokkaebi looked absolutely adorable. Cale refrained from stroking the fur and wondered if it was as soft as On and Hong's fur.

"... like at Chungmuro station before?"

"Ah. You humans and your privacy," the Dokkaebi muttered in begrudgingly l but obediently turned off the channel displaying Cale's stream. There were protests from some constellations that were immediately silenced by others.

Bihyung hummed with interest at the strange behavior of his subscribers, but it was better to obey this unique incarnation than to get hit by a protective constellation. The creature also didn't want to see the uglier side of the ugly human Kim Dokja.

"You can activate it after 20 minutes." Dokkaebi watched the red-haired human pause for a moment, then bowed lightly to him. It really confused Bihyung.

Because that was... a sign of respect, right?

"Thank you, Bihyung-nim." Cale could see the cute rosy blush on the white-furred cheeks, smiling a little at Dokkaebi awkward reply to the thanks with grumbling words like 'weird human', 'weird privacy', and so on.

Once it was deemed safe to undress and rush to the shower, the young man then entered the hotel bathroom. Using Crazy Kid's power to fill the bathtube with water and heated it up briefly with The Cheapskate's power.

Cale took out Raon's gift- a spatial bag and brought out some toiletries such as soap, shampoo and even a toothbrush.

Enjoying the quiet solitude without the watchful eyes of constellations that judged and saw his every move, Cale was lost in the warmth of the bathtub and the water washing over his skin.

He closed his eyes slowly and let his body rest against the tub.

Along with the memories of his family, the Record played sweetly in his mind.

I miss them so much...

******

The red-haired man had never felt cleaner than this.

All the stains such as oil, mud, and blood did not bother his skin anymore after cleaning himself properly. The clothes also changed, into a long-sleeved oversized white shirt, black pants and black shoes. Cale let his wet hair dry on its own. This time he uncovered the front bangs that covered the symbol of Galadriel's Headdress. His brow furrowed at the sight of the symbol which was rewarded with a colleague's chuckle in his mind.

His reduced earrings now glowed dimly, making the skin appear rosy and giving off a soothing warmth. While around his neck was a blue crystal necklace that emitted a beautiful blue light, the water-like-liquid exposed to sunlight.

Hoo... Cale saw some new constellations. It seems that their rank looks higher, Because he saw some screens disappear before, as if intimidated by the presence of these new constellations...

Well, who cares? The important thing is that the coins keep flowing, right?

Suddenly, Cale made a happy face when he got the coin, as if he was given a sugary treat by children, making hysterics appear again. It ended with the constellations taking turns giving coins as gifts.

Feeling a little hungry, Cale pulled out the warmed Apple pie from his spatial bag and a cup of coffee he had made after buying the ingredients at Dokkaebi's shop. They really did come in handy after Dokja taught him the trick when buying items at the streamer shop.

The man walked out of the room and sat on the edge of the balcony. Letting the wind blow dry his wet red hair, reddish-brown eyes returned to glancing around the hotel. He felt a little hollowed out by the atmosphere.

[Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' was curious about the contents of the mind of Incarnation 'Cale Henituse'.]

"It's fine... really."

This world really reminded him of the situation of Kim Roksoo's world that was hit by the monster dungeon apocalypse.

The difference was that this world was being chased by the so-called Scenario. Here, humans were no longer called by the word 'Human', but the word 'Incarnation' who only served as entertainment for the Constellations on the ceiling.

The situation of this world was worse than Cale had ever imagined.

Sighing tiredly and feeling cold, the pale-skinned man re-entered and sat on the edge of the hotel bed. For security reasons, he chose a second-floor room with a balcony overlooking the Gwanghwamun area.

At Hoja-nim's urging before the figure disappeared, Cale ran as fast as he could. Adding a lot of coins to his Strengh, Stamina and Agility stats, he dispatched several scenario area monsters with ease.

With a mumble, Cale said 'Status Window'. Immediately, several blue screens filled his view. Carefully narrowed eyes accompanied by an active Record began to analyze his 'body situation' in this world.

[ Status Window is activated.]

[ Too much information, so information is summarized!]

This... made more sense after learning the story of 'Hanibaram' from Kim Dokja.

Unbeknownst to Cale and often forgotten, he was a 'Character' in the world of this novel.

This fact called forth various feelings of caution in Cale. Not only his status here as a 'character', but his soul that was a figure 'from another world' which was also worrying.

The look on his face darkened. The figure of 'Hanibaram' was now a combination that Cale did not like and threatened his own existence.

As evidenced by Dokkaebi's lack of awareness of his presence, Even this world's skills did not work against Cale!

Why did that bastard God of Death bring Cale to this world?

He always thought about this question. Was it because of the Fragment mentioned by that annoying god? Because his soul that was destroyed in the world of The Birth of the Hero could be healed in this world?

(Why could there be a fragment of his soul in this world? Is it because of his other identity as Hanibaram?)

Okay. Let's just say, Cale is healed.

His heart is fine, leaving only the wrinkles from the stab wound.

His soul is also fine? Even his body was healthier, Thanks to the Star Stream system for the Incarnations in this world.

"Hahh..." sighed Cale, forgetting to check his status again. Chuckling in annoyance, the redhead returned to assessing the blue screen.

The question marks in all the names of Attributes, Skills, as well as Stigmas confused Cale. However, basically all of them shouted out the abilities and experiences that Cale had experienced.

Besides that, why does these stigmas look like... the titles he had earned? And why does that title also have a question mark behind it?

"Saint of the Nightwalker?" Cale's mood instantly became ugly and his face contorted into disgust.

This nickname screamed the very hallmarks of that damn god. What the hell was that? Since when did Cale agree to be... ugh-damn Saint to this bastard? That sucks. Cale would sue that bastard later. He was even happy to let Choi Han and Raon tear that god to pieces.

The Son of the Vampire Duke ? It must have been when he was disguised as Naru. So, what was so great about that disguise experience that it earned the stigma?

Guardian of Creatures ? Reluctant to admit but Cale could guess where this title came from...

Dragon Relatives... why did this stigmata sound so heavy on his shoulders? Almost like a burden...

Hero of the WORLD...???? Bro, what- 😭🤌

Especially The Person Who Loved by Gods and Nature! This damn nickname is the worst, making him feel that his low status life was threatened!

The Father of a Dragon... this stigma brought a small, melancholic smile to Cale's face. A hand gently, almost longingly rubbed the title, Imagining the faces of Raon, On and Hong who called out his name with enthusiasm and love.

Did... Raon regarded him as a father? To give rise to this stigma?

Cale's throat choked, as his vision began to blur with tears.

How long has he been trapped in this world?

It had been a long time, with the rest days being chased by a merciless scenario.

A moment of guilt struck Cale's heart, that he had not thought about the family he had left behind. Surely... the last sight they saw was... Cale's body falling... and lifeless, right?

[Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' wishes Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' well.]

Smiling sadly, Cale only nodded in response.

"I'm alright," he whispered softly, gaining a warm embrace in his heart as the three ancient powers gave their words of support.

Not only was he stuck here, all the problems that occurred were beyond Cale's ability to fully guess. It was not the same when he was in the world of The Birth of the Hero. In this world, he became a novel character that he knew nothing about. Not only that, his existence contradicted the novel for some reason? Shouldn't it be that if Cale was a character in the novel, the Star Stream manager shouldn't be wary of him, right?

Shouldn't the character 'Hanibaram' also not exist in the novel?

Just like... his current state?

Reddish-brown eyes widened in horror at that realization and shook his head repeatedly. He tried to erase the horrible theory that crossed his mind. Although it was only a glimpse Cale did not like the image of that theory.

Returning his gaze back to the blue screen, aigoooo... This 'Hanibaram Character' was really as mysterious as Dokja had mentioned.

Cale Henituse's head began to throb unpleasantly.

... is there any way to find out the number behind the question mark?

I guess you have to use that skill, attribute, or stigma until it reaches a certain limit?  Glutton said, as if hearing Cale's inner roar that was filled with dead ends.

But what was that boundary condition? His status window provided no answer other than the information available now. The Star Stream was good enough to summarize the entirety of Cale's abilities, but there was still something missing. Even when he asked about the existence of other Ancient Powers, there was no answer!

I think we can help with that, muttered Crazy Kid, sounding very serious for the first time since arriving in this world.

Really?

Yes! I think I felt the old man's presence at the battlefield earlier!  The Cheapskate enthusiastically agreed.

Battlefield? You mean in the center of the Gwanghwamun area?

It's true what they said. The Rock Gramp's presence was very close. I guess near the gate that has three entrances? The middle one is bigger than the others.

Forgive us for telling you so late, Cale...

A-at that moment you were focused on fighting!

Cale's reddish-brown eyes widened at Glutton's explanation, then attempted to calm the other two ancient powers down. The red-haired man knew what place Glutton was describing and his face darkened again. Gwanghwamun Gate was very close to the place of Main Scenario #4 and Cale had to go back there?

Wasn't he wasting the help of Hoja-nim, who had stopped time just to get Cale out of there?

This sucks.

Moreover, the Star Stream system is not as perfect as the system in other novels like an AI that can answer the user's questions.

Tch.

[ Stats: Stamina (Lv. 35), Strength (Lv. 38), Agility (Lv. 31), Magic (Lv. ???) ]

Putting aside the unknown level of his magic, Cale felt quite happy knowing that the other three stats looked better than when he first arrived in this world. And just so you know, Cale had spent a lot of coins on these three stats. As in the game, the more the level is increased, the bigger and more expensive the payoff.

Oh yeah, what about our dear coins?

[ Coin: 107,500 Coins ]

Without constellations and reaching such large numbers, helped by the growing sales of his apple pies. Perhaps Cale should consider Kim Dokja's suggestion of hiring one of the store's Dokkaebi as an employee....

The red-haired man then mentally thanked the kind Constellations who had supported him for free. Even though Cale did not show many stunning actions, somehow the constellations were willing to give him their coins.

Ah, don't think about it Cale. Just being given makes him feel very grateful. Let's let it flow like that hehe.

Ah, speaking of coins, reddish-brown eyes narrowed sharply at one screen that was clearly displayed and now demanded payment.

[ Sub Scenario - Survivval Activities ]

  Time Limit: 10 days.
  Reward: None
  Failure : Death

*'Coin Event' is in progress for this scenario
*All monster species that appear in the scenario can drop coins. ]

Now... it was time for Cale to hunt monsters alone.

The thought of him moving physically and eradicating everything was already making the red-haired man mentally exhausted. Even just to survive, having to pay 500 coins? The reward wasn't even there while failure ended in death. Isn't this world so fucking cruel? It was at times like these that Kim Roksoo's world seemed easier to live in.

His head began to throb unpleasantly.

Go to sleep, Cale. You're exhausted! Glutton suddenly said in his mind. There was a hum of approval from Crazy Kid and The Cheapskate.

Because of his companion's words, exhaustion soon descended on the red-haired man. Garnett eyes began to droop, making the view of the ruined city behind the hotel room a blur.

"Wait... I need to pay coins," right after saying that, another screen appeared in front of Cale.

[Do you want to pay Coins for the Sub Scenario - Survival Activities?]

The forefinger moved to click the 'YES' option and finally returned to lying on the bed with no energy left.

You can't fight to your full potential without proper rest, Cale. The Cheapskate spoke again, with a very persuasive tone. It was different from his usual passionate and fiery tone.

I XXXX agree with The Cheapskate! You will vomit blood if you use your power! Crazy Kid continued. The voice reprimanded with a concerned expression.

Cale snorted but nodded tiredly.

He had not slept properly for the past three days.

The situation did not justify resting, as the Scenario's plot ruthlessly pursued their time.

... it felt miserable.

Cale was sure, he had been trapped in this world for a month.

But why did it feel like it had been so long ?

His eyes began to droop and the image of Dokja's face was the last thing Cale saw before the darkness took over.

We'll... see you soon, Dokja-hyungnim...

[Third Person's POV]

It took a whole day from Jongno-gu's journey to where he was now. Hunting monsters along the way felt like a jackpot, as they suddenly became so numerous. Cale easily dispatched them, smiling slightly as they all turned into beautiful shining gold coins.

The reddish-haired youth was now standing not far from the Gwanghwamun area. His clothes were still the same as the ones he wore last night, except for the fact that they were now equipped with Glutton's shield protection in case of a surprise attack and Cale was unprepared for it.

[Many Constellations were confused by the actions of Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' who returned here.]

Reddish-brown eyes grimly looked at the various corpses of Incarnations that had died needlessly by Dokkaebi's forced scenario. The beady eyes then glanced around and were relieved that the Dokkaebi in question did not exist. This place had more or less become abandoned, namely the former place where the Main Scenario was executed.

Hoja-nim was truly a awesome figure.

Able to stop time and able to make the main figures of this world such that the Star Stream staff (Dokkaebi) remained unaware of his existence. To be more precise, they couldn't see that Cale wasn't from this world. While the Constellations helped cover up his strange existence by always referring to Cale as 'Incarnation'.

Refocusing on the scene in front of him, Cale swallowed his saliva and ventured into the area -the periphery- of The Absolute Throne.

[Constellation 'Queen of the Darkest Spring' was curious about what Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' would do.]

[500 coins sponsored.]

Smiling a small, gentle smile at the Constellations who had been following him since yesterday, Cale replied in a melancholy voice,

"Looking for an old friend."

Turning away from the several blue screens that were always following him behind, the young man continued to walk carefully. Occasionally looking around anxiously until Cale finally arrived in front of the three gates of Gwanghwamun. Glancing to the side, the three ancient powers directed Cale to head towards a statue that symbolized Korea in its heyday.

The Haechi statue.

It is said to be an ancient mythological animal, which is the guardian of the royal family and only the King can rule the spiritual animal. The king chosen by Haechi in history is a righteous and just figure. Because this animal on the other hand has the eyes of truth, to judge which choices are good and which choices are bad.

Cale stood upright in front of the statue, instantly feeling uneasy and nervous. Was it just the young man's hallucination that the carved eyes of the majestic statue were glancing at him?

Are you sure you feel Super Rock in this Haechi statue?

Of course! His presence is XXXX stronger!!! exclaimed Crazy Kid, feeling offended that Cale doubted her.

Try touching the foot of the statue and calling Rock Gramp! Glutton instructed, in a calm voice.

If anything happens to you, I'll burn this damn statue-

That is worse...

Because based on Dokja's words, all the historical stories and mythologies of each country became 'alive' and had their own skills and effects.

And this Haechi creature was equivalent to Yong (*Dragon in Korean terms), so Cale's life was also at stake here if he offended the great guardian of the royal family.

Instead of following Glutton's words, the red-haired man put his hands together in front of his chest, then gracefully bowed before the statue.

"Greetings to the Great Lord Haetae*," Cale said in a lilting manner, which he learned from Violan and Fredo after being urged by them. (*Another name for Haechi)

For a moment, silence engulfed them.

Both Cale and the three ancient powers felt their breath catch. Then tensed as they felt a strange power begin to gather around the statue, emitting a soft glow around Haechi's form.

"What is the need for a Young Human with a 'half-finished soul' like you to come face me?"

Cale's heart almost stopped beating when Haechi called him with the words 'half-finished soul'.

However, in contrast to the panicked mind, Cale still bowed respectfully, Not daring to answer nor look directly at the majestic being. This earned him a snorting reply from Haechi.

"You may look at me." Still tense, Cale reluctantly obeyed those words. Still with two hands in front of his chest, head titled up as reddish brown eyes widened in amazement at Haechi's true form displayed in front of him.

[Constellation 'Gwanghaegun of Joseon' was impressed by the actions of Incarnation 'Cale Henituse'.]

[200 coins sponsored.]

Unlike the statue and some scattered paintings or illustrations, the original form is more dignified and has reddish-brown color accents accompanied by a golden mane. Sharp, calculating red eyes with a mane that gently flowed like water made cast an illusion of fire being emitted. It was almost 8 meters tall and its auras-whoah reminded Cale of dragons at a glance.

Despite that, his body shape was not solid and almost faded away. It was as if what Cale saw now was just a projection of Haechi's statue.

"Satisfied with looking at me?" Blushing slightly, Cale cleared his throat softly.

"You look very great and majestic, Your Highness Haetae," the red-haired man replied honestly and the spiritual being let out a low rumble.

"Are you looking for your stone companion?" Haechi asked again and yes, Cale nodded. Couldn't lie in front of this creature or he would get a reply that was... quite horrible.

"He's a kind, thoughtful and caring person," Haechi continued, almost sounding pensive.

"He is older than most humans and I doubt that your companion is fully human."

Cale was silent for a moment. He didn't know how to respond to Haechi's words.

We used to be humans muttered Crazy Kid in his mind.

It's just that, our essence changed into the elements that we are practicing, The Cheapskate said again.

In the end, our identity turned into the power itself   finished Glutton, giving another melancholic hug soothingly into Cale's mind.

Carefully, the Roan-blooded man answered Haechi's words. He tensed up again when he saw those terrifying red eyes focused on him. It stared intently, as if it was weighing Cale's soul through that sharp gaze.

[Some Constellations are complaining about unnecessary censorship!]

"You are a strange human," said the creature, now starting to walk around Cale who was still upright in place.

"Your soul is 'not fully' your soul. But the sense of essence remains the same," Haechi said, almost sounding incredulous and amazed. Then the majestic being dropped his body behind Cale and encircled the poor young man with his soft whiskered cheeks and flame-gold tail.

"So radiant and filled with goodness," whispered the creature, sounding fond.

That is our Cale.

That voice...

The ancient power in the mind exclaimed enthusiastically.

Super Rock?

Hello, kid.

In a daze, the eldest Henituse watched as Haechi emitted a strange light from his fiery golden mane and then settled on Cale's left wrist. The wind flowed gently around him, making his reddish hair fly lightly. Framing a beautiful, shady face that was admired by many.

How are you all doing?

...

...

...

ROCK GRAMPPPP-!!!

GRANDPAAA!!!

OLD MAN-!

Cale chuckled, heart filled with warmth and relief as the comforting voice of a loving grandfather filled his mind. There was a pseudo-hug given and the young man found his eyes blurring. It was good to know that he was not alone in this strange world and that there were two of his ancient power companions left so that they could return together later.

"Don't be 'sad' young human," Haechi whispered again. Standing from his place behind Cale to the front of the red-haired man, he leaned their foreheads together.

"Your grandfather was a delightful companion." Cale smiled a little at that sentence.

"He was lucky to have you as his grandson."

Haechi stood up straight again and walked towards his statue. Before his faded form merged back into its original place, his soft voice flowed soothingly to Cale.

"Never change, Kim Roksoo."

Reddish eyes glanced at him with a warm look.

"Because in the end the same essence remains 'one' soul."

With that, Haechi walked away, leaving Cale alone Together with the blue screens filling his vision, full of appreciation and wonder. It was greeted by the other man's small smile and eyes not leaving the new item in his hand.

Try using my power, Cale. Super Rock said softly and the man nodded absentmindedly.

He raised his hand to the front -the right side of the statue- and activated his rock attribute.

[Personal Attribute 'Super Rock/Earth Lv. (???)' has been activated!]

Reddish-brown eyes widened in astonishment as the bracelet glowed brownish at the same time as a powerful rumble from the ground was heard. Dozens of earthen spears were created and Cale had to admit, they looked sharper with a damage attack of... almost 20%?! Isn't this item very powerful?!

Lord Haetae was a mythological creature. Of course the item should be mythology-level too snorted the grandpa, sounding both carefree and amused at Cale's reaction. Making the young man immediately clear his throat in embarrassment and compose himself.

However, Cale seemed to have forgotten that he was still in a vulnerable place and the sound of earthen spears had invited the monsters of Main Scenario #4 to come closer. Despite that, the Roan youth didn't feel scared or decide to run away.

On the contrary, there was a strong energy burning within him to test the limits of the four items he currently had.

Don't push yourself, Cale!

LET'S XXXX FIGHT!!!

MY FIRE WILL BE STRONGER!

Aaahhh... this grandpa is glad we can fight together again.

Right after the call of the four ancient powers, the monster in question appeared right in one of the buildings not far from the Gwanghwamun area. The monster was familiar, a mixture of several animals such as a bear, elephant, rhinoceros, tiger and bull. Cale's reddish-brown eyes widened, realizing that the evil creature was one that appeared in Korean folklore.

[Grade 4 'Bulgasari' monster has realized your presence!]

Grade 4? It's quite tall and its body size is also as large as 6 meters?

The creature ran over and its body bounced slightly as Glutton's signature white shield appeared 3 meters in front of Cale and encircled the red hair man.

The Record activated and reminded Cale at a glance the information of the creature in front of him. Looking at the size of its body, the man with red hair deduce the extent to which Bulgasari devoured the metal of several Seoul buildings. Its sharp teeth had an iron glint and its body was covered in sharp iron scales.

A tilted head with reddish-brown eyes stared intently.

Bulgasari is said to be a near-immortal creature as Koreans tried various attempts to eliminate the creature, but failed. One story goes that the government even needed the spiritual power of monks to confuse the creature and then defeat it.

Another information that the Record corroborates is that Bulgasari is weak to fire. So-

A small grin appeared on the beautiful face belonging to the rose-haired man.

[Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' felt faint by that wildly beautiful face!]

GO CALE-!!!

The white barrier was strengthened and both of Cale's hands slowly lifted up. At the same time, the sky above him rumbled with golden-red flashes.

[The 'Bulgasari' monster feels threatened and is wary of you!]

The evil creature then began to zig zag until it only looked like a blur in Cale's sight. Occasionally it would also attack Cale with sharp iron arrows, bites, roars, as well as strong stomps from the trunk in front of its mouth.

Frowning in annoyance and analysis, the right hand with the bracelet came down to the front of the chest and clenched. Suddenly, the tight grip of the hardened ground stopped the creature's movement.

[The item 'Haechi Bracelet' has been activated!]

[Added 20% 'Attack Damage' to 'Fire of Destruction Lv (???)' Attribute!]

The bracelet glowed golden brown and so did the rose lightning which struck the creature. Cale was satisfied to see Bulgasari flinch from the attack, groaning and growling from the pain she felt. Moreover, The Cheapskate's amplified fire did not fade. On the contrary, it grew hotter and in an instant began to melt the metal around the creature's body.

Let's test my new power, Cale.

As if guided directly by Super Rock, the red-haired man's hands moved in a series of hypnotizing patterns then crossed them to the side. A smoothed stone spear appeared and had the same engraving as the Haechi Bracelet.

WHOAH-!? YOU CAN CREATE A FUCKING WEAPON???!!!!  was the excited reaction of The Cheapskate who was completely mesmerized, as was Cale who stared at the weapon with a stunned look.

Why would a spear be created? Cale doesn't really know how to use a spear either?

No problem, Cale. I will guide you-

Cale then again felt as if someone was possessing him. It Lead the spear which was then aimed at Bulgasari When the monster seemed to be taking a stance to attack, despite the blistering wounds on various sides of its body.

[Item 'Haechi Bracelet' analyzes the position of Monster 'Bulgasari'.]

[Item 'Haechi Bracelet' assesses the 'Bulgasari' Monster as a creature filled with greed!]

Expertly, as if the weapon itself had a muscle memory of its movements, Cale turned the spear and was amazed to see several Buddhist symbols appearing to form a spell illustration that glowed golden brown. The force of the spear left behind some wind, making his red hair flow softly.

[The skill 'Heavenly Judgment' from the item 'Haechi Bracelet' has been activated.]

As Bulgasari ran to pounce, so did Cale who began to attack the monster.

A shield appeared, blocking Bulgasari's bite. It was followed by a forelimb scratch on the right side which was immediately repelled by the movement of Cale's spear.

Inwardly, the garnett-eyed youth marveled at himself. So not himself at all. But... still... didn't Cale now look like the damn protagonist of a wuxia novel he used to read?

Bulgasari screamed in pain, Feeling that powerful pure spiritual force crushing the iron on his front leg.

Not giving its time to relax, Cale launched an attack from the left, ducked and attacked its leg again. He twisted to the right side, then attacked the left side of its abdomen with more force. Pausing for a moment, he was satisfied to see the monster bounce nearly 3 meters away.

Now, attack its heart, Cale!

Nodding, the red-haired man tightened his grip on the spear and added some coins to increase his strength and stamina to level 40. The illustration of a Buddhist spell began to appear on the sharp tip of the spear and in the deafening silence, Cale watched as the weapon pierced the evil creature's chest area until the spell's light penetrated into its upper back.

[Many Constellations cheered like spectators watching a soccer player score a goal!]

(Bihyung, who observed the battle as well as the reactions of the Constellations who were acting like fans in heat wisely decided never to interrupt their moment. Especially when it comes to the red-haired beauty[?])

The earthen spear then melted and Cale jumped backwards by 5 meters. Garnett's eyes widened slightly, seeing that the symbols on the tip of the spear were now twisted like a typical anime scene. The man then watched as Bulgasari began to fall to its knees and its body fell sideways, revealing a gaping wound 50 cm in diameter, so clean and bloodless that it disclosed a strange bluish-gray orb.

Making sure the monster was truly dead, Cale approached again, Furrowing his brow at having to dirty the sleeves of his white shirt to retrieve Bulgasari's core.

['Bulgasari's Core' has been obtained!]

As soon as the core reached his hand, Bulgasari's body exploded into a beautiful piece of gold. This made Cale marvel again, wishing he could record the event with a recording ball.

[Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' smiles softly.]

Realizing that he didn't have much time to contemplate the item, Cale immediately put it into his inventory. Hearing the rumbling of the other monsters, the owner of the garnett beads then ran away towards Dongdaemun-gu, so that he could immediately find Gilyoung who was on his way to meet him as well.

Are you feeling tired, Cale? Super Rock's voice sounded worried, but Cale shook his head instead with a small smile on his face.

Did you know, Gramp? Uri Cale has become very strong in this world!

YES! THAT'S XXXX RIGHT! CALE DOESN'T EVEN VOMIT BLOOD!

AND HE CAN LAUNCH COMBINATION ATTACKS WITH MY FIRE!

There was an impressed voice echoing in the man's mind and Cale chuckled at Super Rock's completely stunned reaction.

The good thing about this world is that my body is strengthened. The pale-skinned young man replied, still running breathlessly. Hands raised, attacking diagonally, using a combination of fire and wind like a sword blade attack which easily took out the few small monsters that stood in his way. Not to forget the coins starting to enter his spatial wallet after the monsters disappeared.

Imagine your family's shocked faces, seeing our Cale this strong?  Super Rock whispered, sounding melancholy yet accepting and embracing that feeling of longing.

Of course! They'll all be gaping like fish need water!  Glutton giggled, specifically imagining the face of a certain golden dragon who always complained when Cale vomited blood or fainted.

They would all XXXX faint at the sight of uri Cale defeating an enemy's ass with XXXX spears!

So damn right! Have we ever fuckin' seen Cale intervene directly to attack with physical damn movements-!? Next time, I'll create a fire sword for you, Cale-!

Overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, trembling as well with excitement, the sharpened water attack bisected the monsters in an instant and the beautiful grinning face was dazzlingly displayed. Especially when all his items began to shine, washing that slender frame with mystic power. Moving so gracefully, it was as if the jeweled-eyed man was dancing in his fight.

Lets grow strong and eliminate all the damn pests that stand in uri Cale's way to return home!

[Two days later...]
[Lee Gilyoung's POV]

Lee Gilyoung spent the last three days searching for Cale-hyung while raising his power level.

Although his small body was burdensome, the skill to subdue insect-type monsters had kept him safe at times. The little brown-haired boy would always sit on the top of his bug monster's head, darting his gaze left and right, desperately Searching for the speck of red hair that Abyss-hyung said was getting closer to him.

Gilyoung's heart warmed.

The thought that Cale-hyung who was willing to go and look for him had created a sweet thrilling feeling in the boy.

Thanks to Dokja-hyung's information about monster meat cooking tools and Sangah-noona's small recipe, Gilyoung didn't have to worry about hunger either.

Dark eyes then glanced at the level of several skills as well as coins that had been collected in the 'Status Window', nodding in satisfaction at the sight.

All skills, attributes, and stats had been leveled up to level 18 on average. This was All thanks to the advice and help from Abyss-hyung.

[Constellation 'Lord of the Abyss' is pleased with the achievements of the 'Lee Gilyoung' Incarnation!]

[200 coins sponsored!]

"Thank you, hyung," replied the little boy, giving a grateful smile before refocusing on the scene in front of him.

Dark eyes narrowed, seeing several water-type monsters gathered there. Hands raised to prepare to attack the monsters but-

"Ung-?!" -the little boy did not expect the Attack to hit the legs of his insect monster and the perpetrator of the attack was the same water-type Monster. It was like a combination of eel with crocodile legs accompanied by sharp shark-like teeth.

Growling in annoyance, Gilyoung mentally made the giant praying mantis monster ward off from the strange water monster.

[The skill 'Diverse Communication Vers.2 Lv. 17' has been activated!]

The skill Gilyoung was using was a variation of Diverse Communication. A gift from Abyss-hyung that could summon millions of locust swarms in an instant which could then fuse together and form large monsters.

Now, with his two pet praying mantis monsters, Gilyoung watched as the strange water monsters began to be destroyed one by one with a satisfied smile. The little boy also with slightly sloppy movements attempted to attack the smaller monster, which had passed through Gilyoung's pet Gap to attack him.

The little boy hissed in pain, feeling the bite of the monster's arm and instantly felt dizzy. Although he was able to dodge and take out a few more monsters, there were still too many for Gilyoung to handle.

His vision was getting blurry but Lee Gilyoung mentally forced himself to stay conscious. Abyss-hyung had also helped strengthen his skills and the blue screen displayed behind him became his emotional support.

Dark eyes involuntarily widened, feeling one of his praying mantis monsters begin to crumble under the onslaught of water monsters that came in clumps.

That feeling of weakness returned to attack cruelly.

Is this what would happen if Lee Gilyoung enjoyed his success for a moment ?

Was the world and the evil constellations so eager to see a weak human like him survive ?

Feeling his grip on the knife loosen, his body began to stop fighting. The little boy knelt down on the ground, as his vision blurred.

In such a tense situation, a flash of golden yellow brought a familiar euphoria that was sweet and soothing. It spread through Lee Gilyoung's mind until it brought his vision back into focus.

Bringing a feeling of 'safety'.

That Lee Gilyoung could now rest and lean on the figure of his savior.

A deafening silence, accompanied by an atmosphere so mystical and hypnotizing, the boy watched as the familiar red-haired man emerged from behind the horde of monsters with a diagonal attack that created burns to the water monsters.

Not stopping there, Gilyoung felt a shield form around his body, causing the monsters that bit him to bounce away in painful screams.

The figure with rose hair stomped his foot and a spear from the ground formed, destroying all the hordes of monsters in an instant.

And in the chaos, the jewel-eyed man's gaze fell upon him.

"Gilyoungie!"

Ah... it was his Cale-hyung.

Forcing himself to move, the little child let out a small sob, Especially when the shadow of that figure gave off such a soothing glow. His reddish hair burned like the fire of life and his understanding eyes could not be separated. This was, of course, Accompanied by a beautiful welcoming smile on his face.

"CALE-HYUNG!!!"

Gilyoung hugged the older man tightly. The sobs he had been suppressing for the past three days were released and all his tiredness melted into the comfort of that reunion hug.

"I... I ugh-m-missed you, Cale-hyung," Gilyoung whispered, hoarse and small but hopeful.

His heart fluttered sweetly when he felt a kiss on the top of his head.

"I'm here," the voice replied, lulling Gilyoung into sleep.

"You're safe now." His hand was so indulgent.

"Go to sleep, Gilyoungie."

The exhausted boy fell asleep in his savior's arms.

So... warm.

SEE YOU IN THE NEXT CHAPTER~!
