[Three Ways to Survive in Ruined World]
[Revision '???']
[Chapter '???']
Far away from the city settlement that had been destroyed by monsters and snow, a man walked in solitude.
Footsteps sounded clearly due to the now nonexistent sounds of nature. Occasionally, the man would stop and exhale tiredly, as breath vapor escaped from his reddish lips.
"Huff... where is it?" muttered the man curiously, as reddish-brown eyes roamed around the place, searching.
"The last clue was here..." the man continued to grumble as he tried to shake off the snow that had accumulated on top of his long red hair.
"I need to hurry, before those damn Dokkaebi get in the way again."

[The Constellation '■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■' asks Incarnation 'Hanibaram' to stop and rest!]
[The Constellation '■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■'-]
"Calm down, I'm fine," cut in the Hanibaram with a soft chuckle.
"A little more and we'll get to our meeting point."
With that, the Hanibaram kept walking in the snow that was falling so heavily. He was grateful that he had prepared a very thick snow coat and some warming potions. The assistance of his constellation's friend was another perk.
"...you know what, Constellation-nim?" reddish-brown eyes rippling with sparkling tears gazed up at the cloudy sky.
"It hurts sometimes," said the young man, while patting his heart with trembling lips.
"My existence is such a contradiction in this world and my own world." With a wet laugh, the natural elements around him roared in sadness and tried to soothe the hurt by swirling around him, as if in a hug. Hanibaram closed his eyes and leaned into that illusory warmth.
"What should I do?" he whispered in a voice so sad.
[The Constellation '■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■' gave a soothing smile.]
Vaguely, the heart of nature felt a stroke against the top of his head. It was gentle and soothing. It almost managed to make Hanibaram smile sweetly, as it reminded him of one of the warm moments from his home.
"You'll be with me, won't you?"
[The Constellation '■■■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■' says 'I'll be with you until you don't need me anymore'.]
"Aiish, of course I will always need you. You are my friend."
The elements around Hanibaram then let out a bell-like cry full of life, bringing sweet laughter to the heart of nature now indulging in the cool breeze.

[Someone's POV]
To be honest, the red-haired man had caught his attention from the first time he saw him.
With his bright twilight red hair, the man stood out from the crowd of brunettes with ease. Coupled with the aura of nature he exuded, and his stunning face, it was almost inhuman and ethereal.
His eyes were narrowed while biting harshly on a candy.
"Hmmm is he the redhead that Yoo Jonghyuk is looking for?" he muttered, trying to recall the time when he first read the novel that became one of his inspirations.
"If I'm not mistaken his name is... Hanibaram?"
A small grin appeared on his lips with the realization that gradually began to fill his mind with nostalgia. Yes, the long red hair, the pale lush skin, and matching long eyelashes that framed the signature reddish-brown eyes.
There was no mistaking it.
One of the mysterious and powerful characters in the novel he used to read.
A novel that has now become reality.
His eyes then narrowed at the sight of the dark-haired man, the brown and black-haired woman, and the small child present.
Who were they?
Especially the black-haired man who was very close to Hanibaram.
That's suspicious.
Is he also a 'Prophet'? An early reader it seems but over 100 chapters? Because Hanibaram himself is introduced 100 chapters and above, only a few chapters even alluded to him in a paragraph or two.
His presence is rarely shown, but what is seen seems to leave a lasting impression on those readers 100 chapters and above... if any are found.
"Hmmm.." Eyes sparkled with humor and interest as he planned. His figure then stood up from his seat, wiped the dust from under his body, and walked towards his subordinates.
"It's decided!" A mischievous grin full of anticipation appeared on his hoodie.
"If I don't get Yoo Jonghyuk, let's take Hanibaram!" at his determined shout, several useless man looked at him in confusion.
"B-but, Leader-nim... Yoo Jonghyuk is the main character! He knows the scenario that's going to happen-!"
"Nonsense! Readers who can't read 50 chapters and above just shut up. Don't talk so much," said the figure in the hoodie annoyed, his eyes sparkling unhappily.
"You guys are hopeless, tsk tsk tsk." Shifting his waist with a frivolous face, a pair of grayish orbs sparkled under the darkness of the hoodie.
"Since I'm being kind, I'll give you one spoiler and a quick fact." He could not help but grin at the thought of this.
"If we had Hanibaram, Yoo Jonghyuk would be on his knees." A small chuckle sounded.
"So~ "
"Change our plans." Eyes scanned through the dark station hallway with a sweet hum.
"Spread the rumor." The figure whispered then his grin widened.
"When we're at the peak of our plans, we'll kidnap Hanibaram to our side." Laughter which could not be contained followed the announcement.
Imagining what would happen to the world when the heart of nature, Hanibaram, became the source of chaos would be fascinating to watch.

[Cale Henituse's POV]
The attack sharply penetrated into his mind and soul.
Even Glutton's voice in his mind felt very distant, despite the ancient power lingering in his soul.
All Cale felt now was a deep pain.
It was as if a part of him was being attacked and broken apart. Taken one by one, piece by piece, almost making him lose consciousness.
-Cale! Something strange-! ⇃
↾ -seeing you! I'm-trying to cover-! ⇃
↾ -hear me, Cale?! Hold on! ⇃
Just as the feeling of the attack subsided, Cale's dimly-lit eyes caught the faint shadow of a man dressed in all black approaching him.
The sound of voices chiming in and out made Cale's mind split.
['Foreign Existence' watches the situation with cold eyes.]
Cale narrowed his eyes as a strange complicated feeling began to fill him.
Who are you? Why were you watching me all this time? Helping me? What are you planning to do by helping me like this? What is my reason for being in this world? Are you one of my reasons? Why-?
And as the embrace (?) tightened, realization gradually returned to Cale's sanity. He coughed a little, as blurry eyes looked at the black hair in his vision.
Kim Dokja.
He was currently hugging him very tightly, as if he was very afraid of something happening to Cale. He could feel the hand on the back of his head trembling, his breath coming in gasps. It was as if the man himself was being stricken by a panic attack.
"Dokja-hyungnim... too tight..." The man hugging him froze for a moment, before immediately breaking the embrace. Two hands held Cale's shoulders, starry black eyes filled with fear and terror scanned every inch of his face. Why...
.... why are you looking at me like that?
As Dokja brought their foreheads together, Cale's eyes widened slightly.
Oh, Dokja-hyungnim... so scared, huh? Cale's mind whispered with pity and compassion, wanting to calm the man down. Even the man's arms were still trembling as he embraced him.
"Calm down, hyungnim... I'm fine," the redhead murmured, taking action to lean into Dokja's hand that was clasping his face.
"Thank God... thank God... you're still here... you're still safe... you're still with me..." Cale could barely stop the frown on his forehead. What did Dokja mean by 'you're still here'? He wanted to ask, before being cut off as the older man hugged him tightly again. It wasn't as tight as the first one, but it was more comfortable now.
It almost reminded Cale of Choi Han and the children's embrace.
Cale sighed, letting the man sink into his embrace. His two weak hands hugged the wider shoulders and patted him. The red head involuntarily leaned against that shoulder and closed his eyes.
He was so tired now...
"Cale!"
"Cale-hyung!
"Cale-ya! Are you okay?!"
"Dokja-ssi! What about Cale-?!"
With sleepy and tired eyes, Cale took a quick glance at the other four colleagues' figures and nodded.
"Are you sure, Cale-ya? Your face is so pale, my god!" Sangah knelt in front of him, with Dokja behind him. His hand moved to touch Cale's forehead, concerned to feel the sweat on the surface of the donsaeng's pale skin.
"Yes, Sangah-noonim..."
"Drink this, Cale." Dokja released his embrace, then took out a bunch of healing and stamina-boosting potions Cale's eyes blinked dazedly.
Glutton?
↾ Cale! How are you doing?! I managed to secure the others! ⇃ Letting Dokja help him drink the potion, Cale asked the only ancient power that could speak to him...
'What does that mean...?'
↾ That attack! It's 'watching' us! If I don't hide with the others as well as your plate, 'they' will see it! ⇃
Cale couldn't help the confusion etched on his face. It did not escape the eyes of the others who were still fussing over his health.
"-where, Cale?" snapping out of his reverie, Dokja's face, along with all his fellow travelers in this world entered his field of vision.
'We'll talk about it later, Glutton.'
The ancient power gave an approving hum and instantly fell silent in his mind. Knowing that Cale currently had to calm the people in front of him if he did not want to be suspected for being unresponsive for so long.
"It's getting better," Cale muttered, leaning wearily against Hyunsung who was already alert behind him. His glance accidentally caught the complicated expression on Dokja's face. It was as if he was questioning what was going on and how the plan was out of control.
... hmmm... that means, this attack is not in the 'revelation' that the 'Prophet' alluded to? Cale wondered with a tired look.
"Rest first, Cale." Heewon said in a concerned voice. The woman's hand moved to stroke Cale's sweat-drenched red hair.
"Yeah. Rest, Cale. There are still a few hours before Main Scenario #4 starts," Dokja agreed.
Gilyoung, along with the sensitive Sangah, began to arrange the makeshift bed and make it as comfortable as possible.
With Hyunsung's help, Cale lay down and sighed tiredly. This attack affected him mentally as well as physically. Even though he had slept well and eaten good food, he was still immediately exhausted in just one attack? Did the universe of this world hate him?
"Hush. Calm your mind and get some rest, Cale." Coaxed the party leader with a hand rubbing his head.
... and what was with all the touching his head so much?
Ah, never mind.
".. nde... I'm sorry, Dokja-hyungnim. Everyone..." Suddenly drowsiness strikes-
"-sorry this trashy weak for being troublesome..."
As sleep took over, Cale didn't realize what a mess he left behind after saying that last thing.
.
.
.
[Kim Dokja's POV]
The hand that was rubbing Cale's head stopped.
Though the attack was not Hanibaram's fault, the man still apologized for being troublesome. With an expression of pain, concern, worry, and even anger that could not be hidden, he clenched his fist.
Cale's face was still pale and the man was breathing fitfully even in his sleep.
The attack must have taken a heavy toll on his body.
And Cale was still apologizing for being troublesome?
This made him frantic. That Kim Dokja didn't know at all 'who' this was. Then the 'unbalanced' Star Stream, the words 'Foreign Variable' that shook the system.. what happened? Why now? Why wasn't it mentioned in the novel? Novel? Yes.. YES! His phone! He still has his phone! A complete file of the novel and all the information. But, with 10 years of reading experience, why is this information not even mentioned! How is this? Who? Why did the attack focus on Ca-?!
"-DOKJA-SSI!" Snapped out of his reverie, dulled black eyes stared blankly at Heewon and Sangah before him.
Hyunsung, who was behind them, made a concerned face. Gilyoung, who realized the uncomfortable atmosphere around him, hugged the former military officer's side tightly.
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' bites her lip in worry!]
[The Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' taps a foot impatiently with a worried look.]
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' makes a concerned face.]
"Calm down... okay? You're panicking, Dokja-ssi," Heewon whispered with a hand patting the other man's shoulder repeatedly. Dokja's blank expression frightened them all and when they called out to him, the man didn't respond with dark shadows under his bangs shielding his eyes.
It was the same scene when they had found Cale injured in that narrow alley.
But this time it was worse.
"Cale is fine now, Dokja-ssi," Sangah said in a soft voice. At this remark, Dokja's black eyes glanced at Cale's sleeping form on his right side.
Sighing, the man covered his face with two hands.
Embarrassing.
He had shown such an embarrassing side earlier.
"It's okay, Dokja-ssi... everything is under control now." Slowly but surely, Dokja nodded.
Yes.
Still under control.
Cale is still by his side.
And this was just the beginning, Kim Dokja was sure of it. But in the future, it wouldn't be the same.
The dark eyes opened coldly behind the fingers and were shadowed under his black bangs.
Whoever it was and however it attacked... it would not escape from him.
"I'll be alone for a while," the 28-year-old muttered, earning anxious nods from the others.
Giving one last look at the sleeping Cale, Dokja fixed the red strands around his forehead and ended up gently touching his cheek with a thumb brushing the tips of his reddish lashes.
"Take care of Cale."
His eyes glanced at each of their faces, demanding reassurance. Relieved to see that their resolve was just as strong, Dokja quickly stood up from his seat and walked away from the party.
Being there was suffocating and overwhelming.
His thoughts were also chaotic, which even the Fourth Wall could not neutralize.
Not forgetting to give Gong Pildu a threatening glare, so the fat man and his gang wouldn't dare to disturb the group's rest. Satisfied to see them flinch and retreat, he continued walking. Dokja finally found himself sighing at the end of the station hallway, away from the crowd, along with the dimly lit darkness around him.
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' wonders what Incarnation 'Kim Dokja' is thinking.]
Reading the screen message, the black-haired man snorted ironically.
Many things.
So much so that it looked like a tangled ball of thread that was near impossible to unravel as it just knotted tighter and tighter. The thoughts were accumulating and festering inside his head, ending up being like a poison that ate away every inch of his body.
[There are 9 hours left before Main Scenario #4 begins.]
Ignoring the notification, Kim Dokja reached for his phone. With an expressionless face, he opened the novel file sent by the author, trying to re-read the chapter where he marked the presence of 'Hanibaram'.
For a moment, a small smile paired with loving eyes twinkled as they observed the words that had repeatedly saved him in times of loneliness.
Although imaginary and fictitious, the string of words were so beautiful that Dokja could only dream of them as a teenager. Eyes now closing, he recalled the times he imagined himself in the middle of his two favorite characters. Receiving the protagonist's smile and the heart of nature's warm gaze.
KIm Dokja instantly felt that he would have been one of the luckiest people in the world back then.
... didn't it already happen?
Shining black eyes widened slightly.
His throat felt choked with emotion, while his lips trembled.
Hanibaram was already at his side, smiling with sparkling reddish-brown orbs that shone with warmth, care and acceptance.
Also the progatonist who fought alongside him with his back to each other as they finished the movie together.
And then... while sleeping on the rooftop of a building with thousands of stars at night.
Under one blanket, the calm breath of sleep, and the scent of nature's strong presence, Kim Dokja felt the true -real- rest at that moment.
And that attack..
Unable to do so, Dokja hid his face behind his palm. An unknown attack almost snatched Cale away from him.
Taking away one of the joys he had just gained.
A pitiful little laugh escaped him.
The Universe seems quite happy to play around with him, doesn't it?
Does being happy even have to have permission?
Enough, Dokja. Stop thinking about that. You have to find clues about the attack. Don't let it happen again and you're not prepared for it. Eyes peeked out of his arms and glanced at the glowing phone screen.
He was reading.
Reading.
Reading.
And reading.
Until-
[ -Main Scenario #67 was one of the most difficult Main Scenarios, as Disaster came in the form of otherworldly cultists. Yoo Jonghyuk had already wasted three regressions in trying to deal with this scenario, yet it always ended in failure- ]
"Ah!" Black glittering eyes widened.
The arm that was hugging his knees immediately released, the man focused on the screen, suddenly remembering one of the scenes that was very strange and was another 'phenomenon' of TWSA that confused him.
[ "-I finally reached you." Hanibaram's voice sounded very cold in Yoo Jonghyuk's ears, making the taller man blink in surprise.
There was no response after that sharp buzzing attack.
However, Jonghyuk's gut feeling told him that something strange was lurking around them. ]
The buzzing.. this was the same initial symptom when the attack hit them.
[ "Answer my question, ■□□■■□, why am I still here?" Jonghyuk's brows furrowed at the other man's strange question. ]
"What do you call it?" muttered Dokja, noting this theory into his mind regarding the TWSA 'phenomenon' with the attacks against them.
[ What did he mean by 'still here'? ]
Dokja's grip on his cell phone tightened. There was something about that word that made him feel uneasy inside.
[ "After all this time... you finally showed your existence. Don't be a coward now. You're making me even more upset."
A sharp buzz, along with a strange sickening cracking sound was heard.
The other two men stared at the empty space of the shrine, more precisely at the air that had cracks in it. ]
...if the sharp buzzing that attacked them was the same as this TWSA 'phenomenon'.. wouldn't it make sense that this 'foreign variable' came from the 'crack' this paragraph is referring to? Various theories, answers, and even arguments played around in his mind.
Nodding confidently at the results of his theory, Dokja went back to reading the chapter.
[ "Don't go you-!
Jonghyuk's hand moved unceremoniously to prevent the other man, who seemed hypnotized from approaching the strange, cracked space, from stepping forward. At a glance he could see the total darkness behind the anomalous crack. Jonghyuk's black eyes widened, sensing a strange presence behind the foreign power. ]
Kim Dokja's eyes sharpened at the last sentence. More precisely at 'strange presence' and 'foreign power'
[ "Let go of me!"
"No." Reddish brown eyes turned to him with a glazed look, making Jonghyuk almost choke up at the sight.
"I've been looking for him for so long! He... he's the one...!"]
... now, it all made sense to him.
It made sense why this attack only affected Cale, not the others.
There was a strange attachment between them.
Both the TWSA 'phenomenon', then the 'crack', and the 'attack' they had just experienced. They were all connected to each other, and Cale was the center of it.
[ "I..."
The melancholy filled face looked up at Jonghyuk. There was a small smile etched there, making the taller man resist the urge to cover up that pitiful smile.
"I've been looking for him for so long." Jonghyuk's face became confused. ]
Choked up.
For some reason Kim Dokja felt choked reading that sentence.
If combined with his theory, wouldn't Hanibaram eventually-?
No, he wouldn't.
"No way," Dokja muttered in a small, fragile voice
[ "What is it?" The sad little smile turned into a calm smile.
"Something unreachable, but very close at hand."
Hanibaram then took a step away to Jonghyuk's right side. Reddish-brown eyes stared at the place blankly.
"Here. I hope he's here."
Who ? ]
"Who?" The same question from six years ago repeats itself.
Who?
Who are you looking forward to seeing, Hanibaram?
To make you so sick, broken and full of longing like that?
[ However, Hanibaram was silent. He did not answer.
"He hasn't arrived yet," the other man continued and began to stare back up at the night sky. A long sigh was heard.
"Who is he?" ]
[ "I came because you called me." ]
[ "Just like him out there, who also called out to me."]
Dokja smiled a small, sad smile.
If it was true that this 'attack' was the same as the TWSA 'phenomenon', it meant that 'Cale Henituse aka Hanibaram' would instinctively search for the source of the 'attack'.
And until then... what about 'Kim Dokja' ?
Where will he stand and what will he do?
He's not Yoo Jonghyuk, who was by Hanibaram's side when it happened and is still with him.
What about him?
[Exclusive Skill 'Fourth Wall' shakes.]
As if jolted from his own thoughts, Dokja shook his head. Trying to erase the negative feelings that almost overwhelmed him over and over again.
What about him?
He would remain by Hanibaram's side.
Kim Dokja will not leave.
Isn't that clear?
Yeah.
He made a promise to himself.
That he would not let anyone harm Hanibaram, Cale Henituse.
"For the time being, I already have this information," he muttered with a cold glance at his phone screen.
Glancing at the other chapters, Kim Dokja gave a small smile.
He would help Cale deal with this 'foreign variable' attack.

[Lee Gilyoung's POV]
Lee Gilyoung realized that he had lived all this time thanks to Kim Dokja's protection.
If it weren't for the actions of the adults on the subway back then, a child would be nothing but a rock in the road now. Unattractive, unnoticed, and if they got in the way, they would be kicked away so as not to interfere.
Meeting Sangah-noona and Hyungsung-hyung was another stroke of luck.
They were adults who were very different from his own mother.
For a child like him who was not related by blood and was a 'stranger', they were kind and took care of him when Dokja-hyung disappeared for a few days. To that end, Gilyoung was delighted when they complimented him on how useful his insect sensory skills were for avoiding monsters in the area of Main Scenario #2.
Later, Dokja-hyung brought in two new people.
There was Heewon-noona.
And... Cale-hyung
Glancing at Cale, who was exhausted in his sleep, made Gilyoung, who was leaning on the man's side, ponder. His eyes closed, recalling the thrilling moments when he first saw Cale-hyung.
'Familiar' was what he felt when he looked into those jewel-like eyes.
And something that screamed 'safety' and 'protection' burst from his heart as he embraced him.
To Lee Gilyoung, for some reason, Cale-hyung was someone he had recognized for a long time. A 'savior'.
Not that the other hyungs and noonas weren't. They were also the type of protectors who were very kind to children like him.
Hyungsung-hyung was a very caring and gentle adult. Gilyoung was sure that if he pointed out a particularly disgusting bug or scared the man, hyung wouldn't be able to get angry because he was too kind. There might be disappointment and that'd make Gilyoung feel guilty if it happened.
Heewon-noona is the type of older sister who is very annoying but very caring on the other hand. If they had known each other earlier, then Gilyoung was sure that Heewon-noona would not hesitate to yell at the naughty kids who liked to bother him while he collected his favorite insects.
Sangah-noona was almost like Hyunsung-hyung. But Sangah-noona was so smart! The more mature woman adapted faster, making sure everything was under control and even Pildu-ahjussi bowed under Sangah-noona's gaze.
Then there was his protector, Dokja-hyung. Gilyoung... wasn't sure what he thought of the mature man. Dokja-hyung could be so warm on one side, then so cruel and so cold. But Dokja-hyung is still the man who saved him.
And, the thing that Gilyoung likes about Dokja-hyung, is that he doesn't treat him like a child during life and death battles.
Gilyoung knows his place and that there's a price to pay for survival. And Dokja-hyung knows that too.
They help each other survive.
Lee Gilyoung likes to call his relationship with Dokja-hyung that. It felt like he was needed, relied on, and useful to Dokja-hyung.
And then... Cale-hyung.
If Dokja-hyung was the one who made Gilyoung feel useful and strong, then Cale-hyung was the one who made Gilyoung realize that he was still a child. He repeatedly reminded him to eat healthy food, rest more, and play because he was still a child.
And when Gilyoung argues that he should stop being childish, it makes Cale-hyung sad.
Unlike the other noonas and hyungs who eventually relented because they understood their 'situation' now, Cale was the only one who argued and didn't like the idea.
His eyes looked so sad when Gilyoung said that.
"There are five tasks for children," Cale-hyung said with a gentle, indulgent smile
"What are they, hyung?" asked Gilyoung at that moment, unable to help but be curious.
"Eat, sleep, play, study and laugh."
Then the man would rub his head gently. For some reason, the second the red-haired man said that, there was a choking feeling accompanied by trembling lips. Thinking that he could still be childish and weak, the man accepted him as he was and did not judge.
Really, Cale-hyung was by far his favorite besides Dokja-hyung.
Opening his eyes from nostalgia, Gilyoung glanced around from the corner of his eye
Sangah-noona was talking about something with Pildu-ahjussi. Vaguely heard was about the price of land or the size of land. It was a boring conversation.
"-I think I can raise my level to 17. My coins aren't enough to make everything even-"
"-I guess so. I should catch up on skill evolution-"
"-and a new sword. I hope Dokja-ssi can give a spoiler on where good swords can be purchased-"
Not far away, still within observation range of the sleeping Cale-hyung, Hyunsung-hyung and Heewon-noona were talking about something to do with their abilities and skills. Gilyoung was slightly interested in going there, but the warmth and comfort emitted from Cale-hyung made him reluctant to move.
What about Dokja-hyung?
Gilyoung unconsciously bit his lip.
He might be a child, but he vaguely knew what was going on.
Dokja-hyung must be really scared.
Seeing Cale-hyung in such pain.
Gilyoung was scared too. But at the time of the attack, he was afraid that he was going to die. He was still thinking about himself. But not Dokja-hyung.
Even during the attack, he tried to get close to Cale-hyung and protect him. It made Gilyoung feel ashamed of himself that he could still act selfishly.
On Hyunsung's side, his eyes witnessed how Dokja-hyung was very reluctant to let Cale-hyung out of his arms. It made something swell in Gilyoung's heart, that no matter how strong Dokja-hyung was, how cool and mature he was, that man still needed a backup.
... but, why did that make Gilyoung relieved?
Because Dokja-hyung had someone to keep him sane?
Just like Cale-hyung reminds him that he's still a kid?
And when he saw Dokja-hyung's dark face, Gilyoung felt fear and anticipation. He quickly pushed that fear aside with the determination that began to cloud his eyes. He would help Dokja-hyung to protect Cale-hyung.
Gilyoung wanted Dokja-hyung to be happy.
Because he helped him and chose him out of all the people on the train that day.
He would protect Dokja-hyung's 'happiness' and nothing would stop him.
He would eat healthy, regular meals, and drink milk.
Then get enough sleep.
Then learn to be strong and...
Laugh and play around with the hyungs and noonas.
Cale's 5 tasks for 'children' told to Gilyoung.. and to be strong.
"Just wait, Cale-hyung, Dokja-hyung, everyone..." sleepiness gradually began to attack Gilyoung. The little boy picked up one of the small pillows and positioned himself on Cale's left side. Gilyoung then turned his body towards Cale with his left arm half-hugged and surrounded himself in the other man's calming citrus scent.
There was a small smile on his lips.
"I will grow strong... very strong.. until I can protect you all... "
.
.
.
[Third Person's POV]
Lee Hyunsung sat on the other side of the sleeping Cale and Gilyoung. His eyes shone with relief as he watched Cale's pale face gradually calm and regain its rosy hue. The former military officer moved his hand to stroke Gilyoung's and then Cale's hair.
Smiling a little to see the two of them so united in their sleep.
"How is Cale, Hyunsung-ssi?" Sangah, walked over carrying a basin of water and a towel. She sat beside him with a mildly concerned expression
"It's fine, Sangah-ssi. Cale is resting peacefully and well now." Sangah nodded in relief. The brown-haired woman then diligently wet a small towel, wrung it out and wiped Cale's face which was previously full of sweat.
"... what about Dokja-ssi, huh?" murmured Sangah, unable to hide her worry at the thought of the other black-haired man's terror-filled face. The sight frightened Sangah, before she became worried and only wanted to calm Dokja down at that moment.
"Dokja-ssi will be fine. I'm sure of it," Hyunsung replied with a reassuring smile. He patted Sangah's arm twice.
"How can you be so sure, Hyunsung-ssi? As you saw earlier... the attack traumatized.. Dokja-ssi seemed traumatized." The fist in the wet towel tightened.
"I'm sure it's because Dokja-ssi loves Cale so much. Dokja-ssi will not let that attack repeat itself a second time... I'm sure of it, Sangah-ssi." The man turned to the woman at his side with the warmest smile.
"And we'll be there to help Dokja-ssi." Feeling motivated, Sangah gave a sweet smile of her own and nodded.
Yes.
They would be there when the attack happened again and protect Dokja as well as Cale.
"By the way, where's Heewon-ssi?" asked Hyunsung as he looked around the station.
"To see Dokja-ssi I think," Sangah replied. Her hand then stopped rubbing Cale's face and looked at Hyunsung who was staring at her with wide eyes.
Heewon with such an outspoken personality... going to see Dokja who was brooding...?
.... isn't that dangerous?
"...I think we should stop her...." Hyunsung muttered awkwardly.
"...um I-I guess so? Heewon-ssi will-"
"Umh..." a small and familiar groan distracted the two adults quickly. They saw Cale stirring from his four-hour sleep.
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' sighs in relief with teary eyes!]
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' greeted Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' with a happy heart!]
[The Constellation 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon' snorted and wished for Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' to be even stronger.]
[The Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' smiled kindly and greeted the Incarnation 'Cale Henituse'.]
"Cale-ya? Can you hear me?" Sangah, unable to contain her excitement, quickly approached and rubbed the younger man's cheek. She did not forget to correct the position of his reddish bangs, making the symbol on his forehead stand out more clearly.
"I Can.. noonim.." muttered Cale in a hoarse voice. Making the older two breathe a sigh of relief.
[Several Constellations who favored Incarnation 'Cale Henituse' greeted him warmly.]
"Well, don't insist on getting up just yet, Cale. We still have plenty of time before Main Scenario #4 starts," Hyunsung urged Cale to go back to rest.
Cale, on the other hand, now got the perfect chance to chat with Glutton handed to him, immediately nodded and closed his eyes again pretending to go to sleep.
Meanwhile he overheard Hyunsung and Sangah have another light discussion about the previous attack, concerns about Dokja and.. Heewon? Then there was Gilyoung who remained asleep on his left side, and Cale now let his mind wander.
Glutton?
↾ Cale! How are you doing now? Are you still in pain? Are you starving right now? How's your stomach doing?! I hope you're okay-! ⇃
Calm down, Glutton. I'm fine now. There was a sigh of relief from the Ancient Power with a strong feeling of relief rising in Cale's heart.
↾ Thank goodness! That attack really scary, Cale! ⇃
Can you explain it more clearly?
↾ As I said before, Cale. The attack had an effect on hmmm what exactly? Existence? Soul? Anyway, it affected you, Cale! It feels like a part of us is under attack! Eroded! If I and the others don't hide and hide your plate, we'll be destroyed! ⇃
Cale refrained from frowning at Glutton's rambling words. Okay, he could deduce some theories and facts from the information presented.
First, the attack had an impact on him. More precisely on his 'existence'. Was it because he was not of this world?
Secondly, something that 'scanned' them made Glutton hide along with the others, also hiding his plate. Further strengthening Cale's theory on the first fact.
Third, he had read before losing consciousness that this attack made the Star Stream unstable due to the presence of 'Foreign Variables'. Cale thought, if it wasn't for the help of this 'Foreign Existence' figure, perhaps Cale would really be 'finished off'.
Lastly, Cale concluded that whatever disturbed the stability of this world, the result was Cale's own 'existence'.
Reddish-brown eyes opened and stared at the cracked ceiling of the station with a blank stare.
... Doesn't that mean that this disturbing something is related to Cale himself? Because it specifically had a severe impact on him?
Choking, there was only one possibility that came to his mind.
His family.
Who else was Cale connected to besides his family?
↾...I think your theory could be right, Cale. It could be that they are currently trying to get to this world? ⇃ Glutton murmured in a hopeful voice.
But... if it's true that they're coming to get him...that could also harm him?
... hurt.
Cale could only remain silent at the last painful theory. He could not imagine that if it was true that his family was trying to enter this world, they might be able to achieve it but in return for stability, Cale's existence was at stake?
Why?
What was his reason for being in this world?
He remembered that Death himself mentioned that there were 'fragments' of him here.
Coincidentally and inexplicably, Cale was 'present' or 'existed' in this world and created a moment that gave rise to a 'fragment'? A remnant of his existence?
"Cale?" blank teary eyes turned to the right side, finding Dokja already kneeling there. He had a relieved expression with eyes still filled with worry as well as.. longing?
"Dokja-hyungnim," Cale whispered, so fragile, unable to imagine not being able to see his family without risking being killed. And it seems that the look of anguish on Cale's face is clearly visible in Dokja's eyes.
So, the other dark-haired man smiled gently, his dark, starry eyes sparkled with kindness and sincerity. It made Cale wonder. What had he done to bring out that look in this stranger's eyes?
As if he knew the turmoil in Cale's heart, the man reached out and caressed his cheek. His thumb moved to wipe away the tears that threatened to escape from the pair of glassy jeweled eyes.
"You are not alone, Cale." Reddish-brown eyes widened slightly and stared stunned at Dokja.
"I'm here, to help you," Dokja whispered soothingly.
"Count on me, Cale." just like I count on the writing about your 'kindness' in my worst moments.
"Don't be hasty and rush things. Everything will be clear in time and I'll be there with you, okay?" choked up with trembling lips, Cale nodded.
↾ That man is right, Cale! You are not alone! Although some of us are still locked up, you just need to find the key to free them! We're all here with you! ⇃ said Glutton encouragingly. He couldn't imagine Cale who was so seemingly full of confidence, haughty, arrogant with his cuteness, falling down in agony and quiet
What would be the reaction of Cale's family if they saw the person they loved become like this? Maybe not only Raon would go berserk, the entire continent would be destroyed by them!
"Are you feeling okay now, Cale?" Gilyoung, who had woken up by his side, helped as Cale tried to sit up.
"It's fine, hyungnim. How many hours are left before Main Scenario #4 starts?"
"Two hours." Cale's eyes widened. He had been asleep and talking to Glutton for that long? Seeing the surprised look from the red-haired man made Dokja smile amusedly with relief.
Cale was now like before. Although the traces of sadness were still there, the younger man already looked healthier.
"You skipped dinner and lunch, eat this first." Dokja took out a plate of leftover meat that Jonghyuk had cooked and heated up from his inventory. Gilyoung, who was always by their side, also helped out with a glass of warm water.
"Where are the others, hyungnim?"
"The others are getting ready for Main Scenario #4" Seeing Cale's questioning gaze, Dokja gave a sharp smile.
"Soon, we'll have a 'guest'." The look on Kim Dokja's face somehow made Cale smile too. Instantly knowing what the other man meant.
"Ah... wouldn't it be bad if we didn't welcome them?" chuckling, Dokja ruffled Gilyoung's hair and rubbed Cale's right cheek once.
"Finish your meat, Cale. Gilyoungie, keep an eye on your hyung. Whether he finishes it or not." Cale stifled a frown. Dokja was asking a 10 year old to watch over an adult like him?
"Yes, Dokja-hyung!" smiling brightly, Gilyoung looked at Cale innocently.
"I'll help cut the meat, Cale-hyung!"
"Aiyaa, no need, Gilyoungie-"
"No! I want to help-!"
↾ Meeaaaatttt-!!! Is that the work of that creepy thick eyebrow?! The hidden chef?! Cale! Hurry up and eat it all! Nom nom nom-! ⇃
Aigo... my head hurts.

[Kim Dokja's POV]
[New Main Scenario #3 - Survival is over.]
[You have obtained 1,000 coins as compensation.]
[Main Scenario #4 is about to begin!]
Along with the notification of Main Scenario #4, a platform with a white flag in the center appeared.
Everyone, at Dokja's direction, though more precisely Sangah's (who knows what Sangah had done to earn everyone's trust), gathered around the platform.
[Main Scenario #4 will begin in five minutes.]
And Bihyung appeared.
"-Main Scenario #4 is related to the other stations. Surely, it sounds like an interesting story from here, doesn't it?!" Kim Dokja's face hardened at that. Bihyung was full of shit.
"By the way, in order to proceed with this scenario, you all have to do a task first. Hmmm... the number of people in this station is quite large and of course, it would be messy if it increased, right?" The Dokkaebi grinned sweetly.
"You must choose a representative!"
Dokkaebi disappeared as a notification appeared in front of everyone.
[The Sub Scenario has arrived!]
[Sub Scenario - Choose a Representative]
[ Category: Sub
Difficulty : C
Remove Conditions: Take the 'white flag' mounted in the center of the platform.
Time Limit: 30 minutes
Compensation: 1,000 Coins, Chungmuro Representative.
Failure : -
*Station Representative has strong control over members ]
After that, their surroundings were instantly quiet.
Everyone fell silent with their gazes fixed directly on the figure they considered the strongest.
Kim Dokja couldn't help but smile as he felt their gazes. Even Gong Pildu, who had a very high ego, fell silent. Seemingly intimidated by Dokja's group, which, although small in scale, had a strong pressure to make them retreat.
Glancing at Cale on his left, Dokja smiled as he saw the reddish-brown eyes fixed determinedly on him.
With his back watched by the heart of nature, Dokja walked towards the center of the platform and pulled down the white flag
[You have pulled the white flag from the center of the platform.]
[You have become Chungmuro's 'representative'.]
[You are qualified to walk the 'King's Road'.]
[The incarnation 'Kim Dokja' has earned the white flag.]
The power overflowing within him made Dokja smile a little. Supposedly, this power belonged to Yoo Jonghyuk during his third regression. However, they had decided to work together, become Kings and meet at the end of the scenario.
[If the white flag does not change ownership in the next five minutes, Chungmuro Station will be under the control of the holder at that time.]
As the seconds counted, Dokja waited solemnly. He could feel Gong Pildu's heated gaze, but the middle-aged man had changed drastically in the five days they had been apart.
There are 30 people at this Station. 20 are from the Gong Pildu group and the other 10 are extras including his own group. It was a good number because if there were more, it would be difficult to control. Dokja then turned around, staring intently at each of the kroco's faces with an eerie aura emanating from him.
Seeing the party leader's signal, Dokja's group also released their own auras. Even Hyunsung looked amazing with his muscular body and new shield.
However, the one who stood out from all of them was Cale Henituse.
The breeze surrounding the man made his long reddish hair flutter like fire. The burning power of nature within him was ready to burst forth and run amok if anyone from the Gong Pildu alliance made a threat.
"Now, you have two choices." Dokja began, with a small smirk on his face.
"The first is to leave Chungmuro Station and go to another station. Or stay here with me."
"W-what about Gong Pildu?" asked one of the men, making Dokja's grin grow even wider.
"The old man will stay with us. Isn't that right, Pildu-ssi?" there were bonus smiles from Sangah as well as Cale, so the man himself nodded resignedly and reluctantly. That left some shocked and stunned.
[You have earned the group's trust.]
Dokja's eyes wavered for a moment. Somewhat surprised because he did not think it would be this easy. It seemed he needed to thank Sangah and Hyunsung for what they had done in changing the perception of the Chungmuro group while he was away.
Dokja then approached the group standing next to Cale who gave him a small smile and nodded.
Bihyung then reappeared along with a notification about Main Scenario #4 and some conditions regarding the game they were about to face. From the corner of his eye, Cale seemed to be thinking. It could be seen from his eyebrows that were furrowed playfully with one hand stroking his chin.
"Hmmm... in conclusion, we have to guard our own flags and platforms while some of us will go to other stations to capture their flags. And we have 12 days to capture it, otherwise we're dead," Cale's witty and on-point conclusion made Dokja smile proudly. The Hanibaram was indeed very smart and thorough!
"And our next station to target is Changsin," Hyunsung said, looking up from the message on his own screen.
"Does that mean we need to split into groups?" asked Heewon, furrowing her brow in thought.
"And... we have to fight people again?" asked Sangah with a hesitant voice. Seeing the same look in Hyunsung's eyes made Dokja feel uncomfortable. Yoo Sangah and Lee Hyunsung were still seeing and trying to understand the world with their 'good' logic.
"Yes." All eyes glanced at Cale, who had Gilyoung by his side. The red-haired man stroked the little boy's head soothingly.
"There is indeed one condition where we can make another group enter our group. Of course with their consent. But, Sangah-noonim, Hyunsung-hyungnim, please remember that hesitation can kill," Cale explained in a soft but firm voice. His reddish-brown eyes sparkled with vast knowledge.
"But, Cale-ya-"
"I don't want you to get hurt," Cale interrupted quickly. His face was then downcast with a sad aura around him.
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' smiled slightly at the scene in front of him.]
"Please consider your safety first, noonim, hyungnim." They were stunned and blushed slightly. Dokja and Heewon were also stunned, especially the reader.
Hanibaram, Cale Henituse, could easily reprimand and give a proper and harmless reason in a manner that was neither naive nor childish. Dokja's respect instantly grew many times over.
What an excellent figure to look up to-!
"Dokja-ssi, stop," Heewon chided, pinching his arm and making him hiss in pain. Putting on a small, sweet smile with a menacing aura, Dokja faced the other black-haired woman.
"Didn't you get tired on the Titanic, hm? ^^"
"Uh oh, I'm so scared~ :D" mocked Heewon trying to get closer to Cale.
"Shouldn't we focus-?"
-BRUM!
The familiar sound of an engine whirring sounded so dark. Along with the sound of exhaust and tires running roughly on the station's railroad.
Something was coming in the direction of Chungmuro Station
******
The newcomer Kang Ilhun's gaze on Cale was enough to put the Dokja group on alert.
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' crosses his arms with an eerie aura.]
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' gives a cold expression to the new pest.]
It became even more suspicious when Sangah asked a question and the man stammered, as if at a loss for an answer. It made Dokja snort.
"Form an alliance with our Dongdaemun station! You won't regret it! We have the solution to win this scenario!" at that bold statement, Dokja raised one eyebrow, trying to stop himself from laughing at the man in front of him.
"A winning solution?" Kang Ilhun grinned, his gaze briefly glancing at Cale before revving his motorcycle, trying to make himself look cool and dashing.
"We'll tell you if you agree to ally with us." Dokja pretended to think before giving his signature business smile.
[The Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' snorted under their breath.]
"Let us discuss this quickly first." Without waiting for the Dongdaemun representative's response, Dokja turned around with his body blocking Cale from view.
"They're going to attack" Was the first thing Cale said with an indifferent face.
"How can you be sure, Cale-ya?" asked Heewon. The redhead glanced at Gilyoung at her side.
"I sensed another presence not far down the hall then around us." Kim Dokja blinked his eyes. He had not expected Gilyoung's sensory range for insects to be that far.
"Sangah-ssi, what about the current strength of Gong Pildu-ssi's group?" The summoned woman blinked her eyes, looked at Hyunsung and smiled.
"Except for Pildu-ssi, there are some who have strong potential." Dokja nodded.
"In that case, Sangah-ssi, Hyunsung-ssi, and Gilyoungie, who knows the most about Gong Pildu-ssi's group, will stay at Chungmuro station," Dokja explained before his gaze stopped on Cale.
"Me, Heewon-ssi and... what about you, Cale? Are you still able to move? If not, I-"
"Still able. I feel better, Dokja-hyungnim," the redhead replied with his trademark calm face. Trying to think positively, Dokja nodded and went back to explaining his plan further.
The discussion lasted ten minutes before the figures of Dokja, Heewon and Cale stood facing Kang Ilhun and his group.
"I will give you my decision if I meet with your representative."
"No problem. Then you should go to Dongdaemun," the brown-haired man replied with a sweet smile. Glancing briefly at Cale -Dokja felt his eyebrows twitch along with the corners of his lips-, as Kang Ilhun walked toward them.
"We have three motorcycles, what if we-"
"No," cut off the 28-year-old man with a cold face.
"Give me one of your motorcycles and I'll ride with my partner." Kang Ilhun looked like he wanted to protest, but his eyes accidentally saw Heewon shaking her head with an 'helpless expression', making him give in.
"Alright."
The black motorcycle was handed over and Dokja refrained from smiling widely.
"Come on, Cale."
As he glanced at the redhead, he noted his eyes looked like they were seeing a foreign object and blinked curiously as well as some... nostalgia? Was it surprising that Kim Dokja knew how to ride a motorcycle like this? Or had it been a while since Cale had seen a bike like this?
Cale then moved to sit behind Dokja.
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' held her breath.]
"Hold on, Cale." There was a nod over his shoulder, as two hands began to wrap around his waist.
.... ah... not my heart...
Dokja was now lost in the pounding of his heart as he felt Cale begin to lean against his back. Two smaller arms seemed very suited to a warm embrace.
"Cale-" as he turned around, Kim Dokja froze. His eyes widened in shock, realizing his face was only inches away from the redhead.
Cale tilted his head in confusion for a moment before smiling a little, arching his eyebrow playfully.
"Is this right, hyungnim?"
.........

[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' strongly requests that the Incarnation 'Kim Dokja' GET SOME DISTANCE from the Incarnation 'Cale Henituse'].
[The Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' felt like they were watching a petty romance drama...]
[Well, 500 Coins have been sponsored tho-]
[The Constellation 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon' complained about the female constellation's screams disturbing the channel!]
Heewon, who could feel Dokja's inner explosion could only laugh out loud, getting a confused look from their donsaeng.
It was always funny to see the squid's reaction when confronted with Cale's cute behavior.
"Ehmm... can we leave already?" Kang Ilhun interrupted, feeling like he had interrupted a sacred moment as he was rewarded with a death glare from Kim Dokja. Along with several constellation screen messages angry that their shipper sugar intake had been stopped.
"Yes," snorted the dark-haired man with cold eyes.
"Lead the way, Ilhun-ssi."
********
Dokja's dark eyes did not leave Kang Ilhun.
He wanted to ask something, but Cale was behind him. Even though Dokja had a feeling that Cale knew about his situation, considering he had repeatedly revealed it unintentionally when facing Yoo Jonghyuk, still, Dokja wanted to tell him if it was time or necessary.
Feeling Dokja's piercing gaze, Kang Ilhun looked back and gasped at the small grin on the man's face.
"Cale, now!"
The force of the wind came quickly at Dokja's command, sending the three of them flying through the air. Then, Cale's hand waved, sending another force of wind, launching Kang Ilhun and his group forward.
"You guys?! What are you guys doing-?!" Dokja landed with his sword impaled on the ground. Cale on his right and Heewon on his left.
"What are you doing? That's what I wanted to ask," interrupted the Reader in a grumbling tone.
"You should have upgraded your stealth stat if you wanted to attack us suddenly," Dokja mused with a sweet smile.
Kang Ilhun, with several new attackers, began to gather in front of them.
"Everyone! Attack and take Hanibaram! That redhead!"
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' hides a smile behind its palm.]
Kim Dokja's heart stopped when he heard the name 'Hanibaram' come out from Kang Ilhun's lips. His starry black eyes widened feeling a chill and anxiety as well as fear creeping into his heart
Heewon looked equally surprised, suddenly remembering that the first time Dokja saved Cale, the man had called out the same name.
Cale, blinking in confusion, pointed to himself. The name 'Hanibaram' suddenly rang in his mind as various theories popped up in his mind. Then, his gaze fell on Dokja who was also staring at him.
... Dokja is afraid of something. Cale realized when he noticed the look the other man was giving him
Their gaze was broken as they refocused on the fight.
Without mercy, Dokja attacked the enemy. His mind was currently filled with anxiety and a sense of rage towards anyone who spread rumors about 'Hanibaram'.
Sure, there would be some readers who recognized 'Hanibaram' as one of the strongest aces after Jonghyuk, but, for side characters, other smartass readers and those damn NPCs who wanted to take Hanibaram from him and then take advantage of him?
Hell Fuckin' No.
Assholes, Dokja will cut them all down.
"You-!" Furious, Dokja grabbed Ilhun by the collar, distanced himself from Cale and Heewon, and asked in a cold voice.
"How do you know about 'Hanibaram', bastard?" Trembling, Kang Ilhun grinned weakly, feeling a little brave for making Dokja falter.
"You want to know-ugh!"
"You want to play games with me? Feeling pretentious, huh? That's okay." Dokja's smile widened sweetly.
"I can figure out the information myself." Dark, starless eyes looked at Kang Ilhun coldly.
"I know Hanibaram better than that rumor-monger So-" Dokja brought his face close to Kang Ilhun's ear and whispered,
"Hanibaram is mine."
Dokja then stabbed the damned man's leg, making a wide wound, so that he could not move for help. He couldn't kill the man, there was still more information to ask this asshole.
Somewhat satisfied with the result, Dokja approached Cale and Heewon who had ended their fight.
"Looks like Chungmuro Station was attacked too," Heewon said with a worried expression.
"Let's trust Sangah-noonim, Gilyoungie and Hyunsung-hyungnim. They can protect the station," Cale said, trying to calm Heewon down.
"How about it, hyungnim? Shall we go back?" Glancing at Hanibaram, Dokja was silent for a moment. He could see that there was a certain change in Cale's expression that was perfectly masked.
The use of the name "Hanibaram" wouldn't be brushed off.
Dokja then reluctantly nodded. His hand clenched on the hilt of his "Unbroken Faith".
"Come on, let's go back."
And soon he would make this situation clear to Cale.
.
.
.
[Cale Henituse's POV]
Cales eyes silently tracked Kim Dokja's every change. He could observe how the other man's emotionless eyes on Chungmuro's white sufferer were turning red.
Something had changed their dynamic.
Kim Dokja seemed wary of him, Cale.
Not a bad thing, more like cautious of Cale's own actions. It was as if whatever the redhead did, Dokja would respond with strange behavioral adjustments.
Was this because Kang Ilhun had called him 'Hanibaram'?
It was almost the same name Dokja had called him even though it was only half heard, but Cale still remembered it until now.
His eyes then glanced at Kang Ilhun, who had been brought by Hyunsung to their station, bound by Sangah's golden thread. For a moment, Cale refrained from wincing at the stab wound on Kang Ilhun's leg.
"... what are you going to do?" Dokja's eyes looked very cold as he looked at the man and responded to Kang Ilhun's question.
"It depends on whether or not the information you provide is useful to us," was a good answer, Cale liked how Dokja sometimes resembled him in his mannerisms or speech.
"Their group makes my judgment time activate, that means they're demons..." Heewon smiled smugly at the party leader.
"We can interrogate them by torturing them?! It's okay, right?!"
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' agreed to her Incarnation's suggestion vigorously!]
[The Constellation 'Secretive Plotter' observed with an approving look.]
... it was like dealing with a cheerful version of Beacrox.
"Very good advice, Heewon-ssi." Dokja took a step forward, smiled sweetly and activated his skill. As a result, his sword began to emit a powerful and frightening whitish light.
"Do I need to stab your hand too? Not satisfied with having just your leg stabbed?" Ilhun Kang was shaking so badly.
"D-dongmyo station!"
"W-we got C-Chungmuro's information from there!"
"T-they refer to themselves as 'Prophets'..." At this statement, all eyes turned to Dokja, familiar with the way Jonghyuk had referred to the man by the same title over and over again.
Then, after saying that, Kang Ilhun reacted strangely. His face paled even more with his body almost convulsing.
"Sangah-ssi, quickly cover his mouth with your thread!"
After the situation subsided, Cale saw Dokja had a very familiar expression. It was as if he knew the situation at hand-
Cale's reddish-brown eyes widened.
What a fool he was.
Wasn't it obvious?
Kim Dokja knows the future. His seemingly omniscient behavior. His quick adaptation to all sorts of situations. Moreover, the man's strange attachment to Yoo Jonghyuk and calling him a protagonist once, albeit in a joking tone.
The realization suddenly hit Cale at once now.
Kim Dokja was like Kim Rok Soo when he became Cale Henituse.
Kim Dokja knew something about this world.
Just like Kim Rok Soo who became Cale Henituse and knew the world of the novel The Birth of a Hero.
Kim Dokja is a reader.
Like himself-
Shaking his head, Cale quickly cleared his mind of that wildly possible theory.
But, if it was true... Cale smiled sweetly.
[The Constellation 'Seecretive Plotter' chuckled amusedly at the smile of Incarnation 'Cale Henituse'.]
Isn't his chance of surviving in this world higher with Kim Dokja?!
"Cale?" Reddish-brown eyes watched the man currently dominating his thoughts walk over.
"Why do you look so happy, hm?" A happy aura could not be hidden. My ace's card.
Isn't Cale very lucky?
Even if that man knew something about him, Hanibaram, wouldn't it make sense with Death's statement about Cale having a 'fragment' in this world?
The clue to go home!
"Dokja-hyungnim." Unaware of Dokja's jolt of surprise, Cale walked over. Suddenly, he remembered the moment he hugged Choi Han before he left for battle. Just like Dokja now knew the fate of this world and fought to survive.
He unconsciously opened his own arms and exclaimed in a cheerful voice.
"Can I hug you, hyungnim?"
Silence.
Both Dokja and the others froze in shock at Cale suddenly acting like this. Soon Heewon began to chuckle with her eyebrows wiggling seductively at Dokja. Sangah also smiled sweetly and Hyunsung chuckled amusedly with Gilyoung who smiled a little at her side.
[The Constellation 'Demon-like Judge of Fire' holds her breath!]
[2000 coins have been sponsored!]
[The Constellation 'Prisoner of the Golden Headband' felt his face start to turn a little red.]
[The Constellation 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon' grunted questioning whether the embrace would make the Incarnation strong?]
"Hu-hugging-? Me?" Dokja pointed at himself with a reddish face and Cale nodded, still with a joyous smile.
"Yes. A hug for doing a good job," the redhead said again, sending out a gentle, soothing breeze full of nature's scent.
[The Constellation 'Queen of the Darkest Spring' smiled sweetly at the Incarnation 'Kim Dokja'.]
Seeing Dokja still frozen in silence made Cale cluck his tongue. So, taking the initiative himself, he walked over, made a small jump towards Dokja and hugged his savior tightly with a little chuckle.
My savior in this world.
Their meeting must have been fate and they needed each other.
Dokja, who knows the future, and Cale, who is protected by a stranger in this world.
Together, they can survive until a solution to return home is found. Isn't this good news? Why is Dokja afraid of Cale? Is he afraid of Cale acting like Yoo Jonghyuk if he finds out something about his future?
His silly Dokja-hyungnim.
Before Dokja's arms could move to return the hug, Cale broke away slightly, to look at him eye to eye.
"Let's survive together, Dokja-hyungnim."
"I'm here with you." Cale tilted his head with a charming smile. His jewel-like eyes sparkled beautifully, radiating acceptance and warmth.
"Arra?" Okay?
Dokja was still silent. His face turned red in Cale's arms as the redhead began to hug him firmly again, as he repeated soft murmurs of 'good job', 'cool', 'together' and other unpredictable phrases.
With his heart galloping wildly a thousand miles a minute, Dokja leaned back into the embrace and nodded as relief filled and warmed his heart.
"Arra, Cale." Okay. Hanibaram.
Thank you for not walking away from me, my home.
SEE YOU IN THE NEXT CHAPTER!
And jeng jeng jeng, Cale finally knows Dokja is a TWSA world reader~ ('▽'ʃ♡ƪ)
What a waste of worry, Dokja bro, Cale will even use you to survive tho- 🤣🤣🤣
Uri Cale is different from that sunfish bastard (✿◡‿◡)✨
PS. Funny thing, I sometimes forget to write down the part of the constellation that gives the coin :")
That's why there aren't many scenes of Cale getting the money, lol, I'm so sloppy, I'm sorry <( _ _ )>
