"We have to plan this thing through." Namjoon suddenly broke the comfortable silence. "Jimin, Kara needs to know what we're doing so that she isn't confused when it's auction time."
"Right." Jimin briefly raised his brows, before turning to Kara with a light sigh. "Listen closely because I hate repeating myself, alright?"
Kara glared at him.
"Good." Jimin nodded his head, and continued to speak about the plan. "Let me give you the history lecture first. So, every five years, an auction is put together here in Paris. Only the richest people are welcome to it."
"So how do you think you're getting in?" She raised her brows.
"I'm getting to that darling, just stay quiet." Jimin placed his finger on her lips. "As I was just saying, only the wealthiest people are invited, right? That doesn't mean you can't get in without an invite."
"But—"
"Every person attending is allowed three guests, at the most." Namjoon interjected as he joined the conversation.
"Yeah, and we've already got a guy in there that got us all hooked up." Jimin placed his arm around her shoulder. "Well, he doesn't know about you yet."
"So, are you buying something?" Kara glanced up at Jimin, whose arm was still sitting there. He looked at her and smirked.
Kara squinted her eyes as they pierced through his devious ones. Namjoon was busy explaining things to himself. It was too bad, none of them listened.
"So yeah, that's why we're going." He pursed his lips into a tiny smile that showed off his dimples.
"Could you repeat the last part again?" Kara tried to kindly say, without exposing Jimin for distracting her.
"When Jimin's great grandfather passed away, he left behind some of his most valuable possessions and I guess no one bothered to check what was in that box, until this one did." Namjoon pointed to Jimin.
"He left this behind." Jimin grabbed the necklace from its case and held it up. "It's made from blue diamond. This thing is worth millions."
Kara's eyes brightened as she glanced at the blue stone. It was the most beautiful piece, she's ever seen. Just as she lifted her hand, Jimin pulled it back, and snickered. "I still don't trust you, little thief."
"I just wanted to see it." She crossed her arms. "I'm not gonna steal it. I promised, remember?"
"Yeah, I also remember that time when you told me you didn't know English." Jimin narrowed his eyes.
"Those were good times." Kara sighed as she gave him a light smile "So, is that the key?" She pointed her finger at the floor before looking up at Jimin.
There was a brief moment of silence before both of their hands reached for it. Jimin got a tight grip on the key and without any hesitation at all, tossed it into his mouth. Kara raised her brow as a her lips curved into a smile. "Are my eyes deceiving me or did he really just do that?" She asked Namjoon.
"He really just did that." Namjoon nodded his head, but wasn't surprised one bit.
"You want the key?" Jimin let the metal key, stick out of his tongue. "You're gonna have to make out with me to get it." He folded his arms against his chest.
"Or I can just choke you until you eventually cough it out?" Kara tilted her head, and Jimin slowly backed away.
"Oh my gosh, this girl's kinky and a psycho." He nervously wiped his forehead, before running in their bedroom.
"Damn it, I almost had him." Kara cursed as she sat back down on the couch.
"Don't you think you're messing with Jimin to an extreme level?" Namjoon raised his brow at Kara, while she just laughed. "I mean, I'm enjoying it as well, but the poor guy just ate a key." He tried to casually explain.
"He's just so fun to mess with." She gave him a soft smile.
Namjoon's raised both of his brows in amusement and a subtle smirk appeared on his lips. "You like him, don't you?"
"No." Kara was quick to shake her head. "He's just an acquaintance, that's all." She played with hands, and seemingly became more nervous. "I mean, it's all business, right?"
"For me it is." Namjoon nodded. "I don't know if that's the case for you and your lover boy."
"He's not my—" Kara let out a deep breath and calmly stood from the couch. "I'm actually a bit sleepy to be honest with you, so it'd be best if I showered and went to bed."
"Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, but there's only one bedroom, and I already called dibs on the sofa, right here, only because it's long enough for these legs." Namjoon innocently explained with a smile.
"Great." Kara sarcastically sung with joy. "I can't wait to sort this out with blockhead over there."
"Have fun." He gave her a small wave, before she went over to the single bedroom.
"Off the bed pretty boy." Kara casually shoved his entire body onto the hard floor. "Merci." She smiled, while pulling the covers back.
"Did you just push me off the bed?" Jimin raised his brows in disbelief.
"Oui."
"I don't have any problem with doing you on the floor." He smirked as he looked up at her, seeing frustration on her face. "You're cute when you're angry. Keep doing that, it looks good." He lightly nudged her chin.
"One of us needs to get out, and I obviously want it to be you, so leave." She pointed to the closed door.
"Kara, baby—" Jimin stopped at the edge of the bed when she placed her hand against his chest.
"Don't come any closer." Kara warned him, but of course, he never listens to anyone.
Jimin used his hand, to push her back against the bed. He climbed over Kara, and brought her arms down to her side. Jimin smirked when he saw her gulp, right as she glanced up. "I was thinking, you and I, would make a great team in bed."
"Is this a dream?" Kara tilted her head as she gave him a strange look. "Because, if this is real, expect a painful impact to your dick in five, four, three, t—
"Shit wait!" Jimin rolled onto the empty side of the bed, missing the collision by a few inches. "Damn, you weren't kidding, were you?" He heavily panted.
"Not at all." She gave him a forced smile, and laid her head onto the soft pillows. "I'm exhausted."
"Hey, Kara?" Jimin whispered as he watched her switch the lights off.
"Hm."
Jimin bit down on his bottom lip, before he finally spoke. "How long has it been since you slept on a bed?"
Kara's eyes became soft, as she didn't expect such a sudden question from him. She turned her head so that she was facing his direction. They couldn't see each other from the darkness, but she did it so that he could hear her quiet voice.
"Years." She softly responded, and the room became silent again.
"How long have you been alone?" Jimin thought his question through, before asking it.
"Years.." Kara said again, but with a subtle smile.
Jimin lightly chuckled, as he could almost hear her smiling. "So, that means you must like having this much company."
"Sometimes." She bit the inside of her cheek. "But there's other times I just like to be alone."
"I feel you." Jimin slowly nodded. "We all like to be alone sometimes—" He turned to face her. "But, it's always better to be around loving people."
"That's if you have people to love." Kara raised her brow at him, before turning back on her side.
"I lov—like you." Jimin quickly changed his word choice as his cheeks turned red. "I like you Kara."
"I know." She sighed, making him smile.
"If you know.." Jimin brought his finger to her chin and turned her head towards him. "You should let me kiss you."
Kara's lips parted as her heart began to race. Jimin gently cupped her face, and leaned closer, until his lips touched hers. She gave into the kiss, by slowly tugging at his lower lip. Jimin pulled away with a soft kiss as he grinned.
"I always knew you'd be a great kisser." Jimin whispered, before Kara flicked his forehead.
"Je te deteste." She mumbled while turning on her side.
"Whatever that means." Jimin happily sighed as he wrapped his arms around her body, and pulled her closer to his chest. "Goodnight." He quietly spoke.
Kara didn't say anything back. Instead, she rested her head onto his chest and closed her tired eyes. Jimin couldn't help but smile as he watched Kara nuzzle her cheek to his chest. He rested his hand along her head and gently brushed her hair back.
