Frea came to a stop and turned around, her eyes narrowed when she saw Mystogan, or Jellal, run around a corner straight for her.
He stopped a few feet in front of her and she quirked an eyebrow to see he had one of his staffs ready, as if he was planning on fighting her.
"Are you looking for a fight?" She asked calmly and his eyes widened upon realizing who she was. "Because I'm not really in the mood, besides, The Magic Council will come looking to see what happened if we start an all out battle. Laying low doesn't really work when you go starting fights, Jellal."
He stiffened at his name and slowly lowered his staff. "How did you know I wasn't Mystogan?" He asked and Frea smirked.
"You have the same face, but your Energy Signatures are different." She explained. "Now why are you running? And I thought you were supposed to be in jail." She was aware of Moon sitting silently and she could feel Magic come off of the Exceed as she scanned Jellal's memories quietly.
"There has been a magic Source similar to Zeref's showing up at the GMG for years now." He replied quietly and Frea stiffened slightly. "I've been trying to find who it is or what it is the magic is coming from." Jellal told her. Frea's eyes shifted away from him toward the Arena, she knew she felt something wrong here...
"Why were you running toward Frea then?" Moon asked and Jellal's eyes narrowed.
"I sensed the Magic of whoever caused the Phenomenon in the sky two nights ago." Jellal replied and Frea looked away from him quickly when his gaze rested on her. Moon fell silent, "The Phenomenon was large enough to gain my attention once the same Magic Signature entered this city."
Frea looked at the ground, she didn't like where this conversation was going. She was faintly aware of the Lacrima making noise as Erza continued her fight against all one hundred monsters, with the loud extremely shocked and excited commentary from the judges. She had hoped no one would figure out that she was the one responsible for the large Magical Phenomenon that occurred two nights ago.
She was even hoping Chase, being the great Energy Mage he was, wouldn't figure out that magic had been hers. She was counting on the fact that she had been far away from him, and the distortion of the Spirit Kings magic overlapping her own magic would prevent him from figuring out it was her magic.
"But... Wouldn't that mean...?" Moon murmured and looked toward Frea, who was still looking at the ground looking a little nervous.
"May I ask, though I am fairly sure, was it you?" Jellal asked calmly.
For a minute she didn't bother to answer, but she knew his thoughts were right. There was no way she would get out of this one.
"Alright, yes it was me." Frea murmured as she looked up at him. She could feel Moon stiffen at the words. "I was hoping nobody would figure it out, and to be honest the first person I pegged who might figure it out would have been my old student, Chase." Frea told him quietly.
She fixed both Jellal and Moon with a serious look. "I swear to god if either one of you speak a word of this to anyone else, especially someone in the guild." Her face darkened and they both sweatdropped. "I will kill you." She growled and they nodded feverishly so she relaxed.
"And Erza had defeated all the monsters! Unbelievable!" They all looked toward the Lacrima where they could see a very beaten up Erza holding her sword to the sky. Frea smiled at the sight, and she was fairly sure Jellal did too, though she couldn't see it due to the mask.
"She's good..." Moon murmured.
"She really is." Frea smiled at Jellal as he said the same words she had.
"So, now let me ask a question. I have to assume Master Makarov knows your here, are Meredy and Ultear here too? I heard you started an independent Guild Named Crime Sorciere." Frea explained and he nodded, looking a little surprised she knew so much.
"May I ask what you were doing two nights ago to expend such a massive amount of power?" Jellal asked and Frea let out a silent sigh, she would much rather drop the subject.
"Helping a friend." She answered simply. "It's complicated and considering I still haven't regained all of my lost Magic Power, I don't plan on doing it again anytime soon." She replied and crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm not going into it, not now anyway." She told him an he nodded in understanding.
Jellal gave her a small bow, "I should be going now." He turned and started walking but paused. "I will not speak of what you told me." He took another step and paused again. Frea blinked when she felt the sudden flustered emotions coming off of him. "Tell Erza that she did a good job." He told her and quickly walked away before she could say anything to him.
Frea smirked and started toward the Arena once more. She glanced at the Lacrima to see the next event would determine rankings, by grading MPF scores. Hibiki didn't do to well, neither did Obra from Raven Tail. Milliana did ok, as did Nobarly from Quatro Cerberus.
Orga from SaberTooth had a very high score, but she smiled when Jura had the highest. Now there was only one more Mage to test, Cana. Cana rolled up her sleeves and Frea smiled to see an odd mark on the brunette's arm.
"Whose that?" Moon asked.
"Cana." Frea answered. "She happens to be the Guilds heaviest drinker, and that mark on her arm, its one of the three Legendary spells of Fairy Tail. She's won this contest hands down." Frea assured Moon, and glanced up as she felt tons of Magic Power radiate from the arena and golden light flooded into it. Looking back at the Lacrima is was seen the MPF scanner was gone, and stopped counting at 9999.
Frea let out a long sigh when she could feel Moon's gaze resting on her even though she wasn't looking at the Ecxeed. She silently turned the Lacrima off and floated away back toward the city.
"Yes?" Frea murmured.
"I would have never believed... That you had so much Magic Power.." Moon breathed and Frea sighed,
"Nobody is supposed to believe that. I honestly didn't think I would have enough to pull the spell off." Frea told her. "And I don't think I could pull it off again, but because I know your going to keep asking until I tell you..." Frea pulled Solana'a key out of her pocket and handed it to Moon, who took it and flipped it over in her paws.
"I was traveling with a Dragon Slayer named Solana who was being hunted down by the Magic Council, and a Dark Guild. She was innocent and the Dark Guild was using its mole inside if the council to frame her for crimes." Moon blinked in surprise and glanced at Frea, but the Energy Dragon was looking at the ground in front of her.
Frea was faintly aware of hearing one of the judges call out the first match of the day to be Milliama VS Semmes.
"I was helping to clear her name and we went after the Dark Guild framing her. We managed to defeat all of the Mages besides the Guild Master." Frea's eyes closed. "Solana got hurt really badly, and I was left to beat him in my own, which I did. The only way to save her, was to turn her into a Celestial Key."
Moon stiffened and her eyes widened, slowly moving from Frea, to the key in her hands. "That... That's impossible..."
"It's not." Frea murmured. "A long time ago, I actually had a run in with someone who used Maker Magic to create Celestial Keys." Moon blinked when she saw Frea's eyes darken at the thought. "Besides, I wasn't about to let her die. The Spirit King gave me permission to try, and I was able to do it."
"You talked with the Celestial Spirit King?" Moon asked and Frea nodded.
"I did. Like I said earlier Moon, this isn't something I want you telling anybody else, ok?" Frea asked and Moon nodded slowly.
"I won't say a word. But who are you planning on giving this key to?" Moon asked her as she handed the key back and Frea put it away. "And are you ok? It's sounds like it was a hard fight."
"I'm fine, just a few cuts and bruises. There's a Celestial Wizard in the Guild named Lucy, I'm planning on handing Solana over to her. Lucy's good to her spirits and they all love her." Frea explained. She glanced up at the arena as they came closer, and they could both hear words yelled out.
"The winner is Milliana! The next battle will be between Rufus Lore and Eve Tearm!" The crowds roared with approval after the announcement. Frea crossed her arms behind we back under the cloak and bumped her bag.
She hadn't bothered to open the book after using it to save Solana. She knew she should probably go through it again sometime soon, and she should probably try to figure out what happened to Jynx, considering the ghost hasn't shown up since she blacked out.
The crowds were going crazy by the time she reached the Main Entrance to the Arena. She showed her Guild Mark to a rune Knight who was guarding a hallway that lead away to where the Guilds would be sitting separately from the rest of the crowds.
When she heard the clink of metal ahead of her as became alert, she knew it wasn't Erza, the footfalls were to heavy. She glanced sideways with narrowed eyes as she passed an armored wizard, whose face she couldn't see, in the hallway. They both stayed silent as they passed each other, but she felt herself stiffen, she had the feeling he was looking at her from under that helmet he wore.
There was a dark aura coming off of him, she could feel it.
She headed down a side hallway, away from the main one where se would have been lead straight toward Fairy Tail. That man had to have been in Raven Tail, she could tell.
"There's something up with the man we passed." Moon told her and Frea nodded.
"I noticed." She replied heavily. She came to attention when a pair of medics rushed down the hallway toward them with a stretcher in their hands, and a badly beaten Eve laying on it unconscious with Hibiki and Ren following close behind. The medics passed by without stopping, but both Ren and Hibiki stopped upon seeing her there.
"Frea?" They both murmured and she nodded. Hibiki glanced up at Moon, who gave him a small nod of her head.
"I'm Moon." She replied curtly.
"What happened to him?" Frea asked with a flick of her head down the hallway were the medics had disappeared with Eve.
"He got hurt while fighting with Rufus, from SaberTooth." Hibiki replied. Frea blinked a few times,
Damn... This SaberTooth guy did all that?
"Everyone in your Guilds been looking for you, you know." Hibiki told her and she sighed.
"Yeah... I guess I better let them know I'm back." She mumbled an stepped past the two. "Good luck, tell Eve I hope he gets better." She called behind her as she headed down the hallway once more.
"Goodbye!" Moon called with a small wave and Frea smiled a little.
"That was an excellent battle fought by Blue Pegasus Eve Tearm, now in to the next battle." Frea listened in as the Announcers voice echoed down the Hallway. "RavenTail's Alexis VS Fairy Tail Team B's Laxus Dreyar." Frea came to a sudden stop.
Laxus against his Father's Guild? Who sets up these battles? There was no way in hell this was a coincidence, she was sure.
"Laxus' Father is the Guild Master of RavenTail isn't he?" Moon asked.
"You get that information from Hibiki or 'Mystogan'?" She asked and Moon blinked once.
"Both." She replied. Frea nodded and started walking again,
"Yes he is, Laxus' Father's name is Ivan." Frea told the Exceed on her shoulder. She was walking down a hallway that could prove to be the long way to get to the rest of her guild, but she didn't want to go back to the other hallway just so she wouldn't risk the chance of running into the wizard from RavenTail again.
"Do you think Laxus will win?" Moon asked and Frea smirked.
"I don't get along with him, but I can't lie. Laxus is really strong and powerful, this battle shouldn't be hard. He's going to win." Frea replied with such surety in her voice that Moon blinked in surprise. Frea seemed so certain, and she had to wonder why.
Though, she couldn't read Frea's memories for that answer, she would have to try someone else who might know.
Frea closed her eyes as she walked down the hallway in silence, occasionally The Energy Dragon would open one eye to glance sideways or ahead of her. She was alert, something wasn't right, and she became more tense when she felt Magic rise up from where she guessed the arena was. For some reason it didn't feel like normal magic you would use for a battle, but she couldn't put her finger on to what it might be. They were both listening to the sounds of the crowds roaring.
"What' this?! Laxus is being beaten to a pulp by Alexei! Laxus isn't fast enough to land a hit or dodge!" The announcer exclaimed above the roar of the crowds and Frea stiffened, while Moon glanced her way.
"I thought you said he would win?" Moon asked and Frea's eyes narrowed.
"I did."
This wasn't right, Laxus couldn't be getting beaten so bad, could he? She had fought him plenty of times to know firsthand how strong he was. She couldn't accept the fact that he was losing so easily. There was definitely something darker going on around here.
Frea lunged forward as she broke into a run and Moon jumped from her shoulder to sprout wings and fly along beside her as she raced through the hallways. Moon's eyes narrowed when she saw Frea's expression, the Energy Dragon was looking unusually serious and her eyes were narrowed so much they were only slits.
"What do you think is going on?" Moon huffed as she kept pace with the sprinting Dragon Slayer.
"Tch, I don't know." Frea growled and her fists clenched as she pushed forward faster. "But there is no way in hell that Lightning Idiot is losing!" She hissed furiously.
"I wont let him!"
