Emma's job was to enter the names of clients into a spreadsheet. It was such a dull job. She hated doing it. Her boss was always stressful to deal with but her other colleagues were especially irritating in the way they would give ill informed views about any topic when she was trying to do work, whether it was Jimmy Savile, Isis or the neighbours parking in front of their driveways and making them late. It drove her mad.

I wonder how I can make the day go quicker, she thought. There was not much to do and she had another few hours to go so she typed 'games' into Google. She logged on to her favourite website. Her boss was out of the room and she had a few minutes to kill.

The website had added a new game as it often did. It had no description. It said, simply, Powers. This looked interesting, Emma thought, so she clicked onto it. The website came up with a screen which said 'choose your power'.

There were several. Invisibility, Super Strength, Speed, and many others. She scrolled down the list wondering what it was about. Eventually she selected an option that caught her eye. It said 'Size.'

'Please select your size and press start to continue,' a dialogue box said.  She typed in a random number. 3. Her boss was coming back so she would have to be quick. Nonetheless she pressed 'continue.'

And everything went black.

She was jolted awake. She was sitting on a hard, wooden surface. To her right was a huge grey and silver mound with a long pipe coming out of it. In front of her was a huge box with different letters on. She turned around. Behind her was what looked like a huge grey hairy hill with two huge plastic planks leading to it. Below the planks was a terrifying drop onto what looked like some sort of sea. There was a huge statue a short distance away which looked like a coffee cup.

Looking up she saw a huge box with huge letters saying "Press "stop" to cancel."

She didn't know where "stop" was.

And then what sounded like an earthquake happened. A horrible creaking noise. She turned around and saw a giant wearing a suit in the distance. The giant was bigger than the grey hairy hill.

It looked like her boss.

"Emma," he said in an enormous booming voice, but he sounded somewhat amused. "Have you been playing games again? I've warned you about that!" He walked over and then Emma looked up and saw his face peering down.

He laughed as he looked down at her. "Well, that is interesting."

Then he put his finger on the huge grey mound. Horrified, Emma looked around to see an arrow on the screen going towards "save changes".

"That'll teach you," the giant said as he closed the box on the screen and moved his finger towards "shut down". Horrified, Emma watched as the screen went black. She walked towards one of the huge black squares with letters on and sat on it. Then she cried.

 After about half an hour of sitting on the black square she decided to get up. Perhaps being stuck in this new world would have its advantages.

It would mean she could cause all sorts of trouble. Especially for the giant.

She decided to look for a way down.

So yea this is just an idea i had, i might turn it in to something longer at some point :)
