-Chapter 9-
"My Spirit Sister and her baby have been murdered
by the Sky People!" Ronal announced to the angry crowd of Na'vi.
They called a meeting when they came back from somewhere. A Tulkun was killed. Villagers were exclaiming angrily as I stood by Neteyam holding a sky person thing. As I looked Ao'nung was snarling.
"This war has come to us." Tonowari states. "We knew about this hunting of our tulkun people. But it was over the horizon, far away. Now it is here!"
"No, you don't..." Dad started to say. "You gotta understand how the Sky People think. They don't care about the Great Balance."
"We don't answer to Sky People!" A man shouted
"Listen. Listen to him." We tried to reason
"The Sky People are not gonna stop. This is only the beginning. You gotta tell your tulkun to leave. You gotta tell them to go far away!" Dad yelled
"Leave?" Ronal asked Scoffing "You live among us, and you learn nothing!"
"We will fight to protect our brothers and sisters!" A man cried out many people yelled.
"No, no, no." There was more snarling.
"If you attack, if you fight, then they will
destroy you! They will destroy everything that you love." Dad said. But the villager weren't listening. None of them are.
"No!" Dad grabs the sky people thing from Neteyam's hands. "You hear my words! Hear my words!"
"Stay calm. Stay calm!" I said. They were slowly shutting up. "Listen to my father."
Dad raises the thing in the air. "You tell the tulkun that if they're hit by one of these, they're marked for death." Tonowari sighs. "And call for me, I'll silence it. Saving their lives, that's all that matters. Right?
Saving your family."
Tonowari sighs "Tell the tulkun. Go." Warriors were yipping and turning to leave "Go!"
I watch Lo'ak run off. Neteyam and I look at each other. We follow him to the Ilu pen as he releases his Ilu. "No way you're rolling out of here, baby brother." Neteyam said
"I have to warn Payakan about the pingers." Lo'ak said
"No. You've gotta keep your skxawng ass here." I said
"He's outcast. There's nobody to warn him but me." He said back
"Bro, why do you always have to make things so hard?" Neteyam asked
"No. You mean why can't I be the perfect kiss like you? The perfect little soldier! Well, I'm not you!Okay? I'm not you. He's my brother. I'm going."
Neteyam grabs his arm. "Oh, he's your brother? No, I'm your brother."
"Lo'ak!" We could see Tsireya.
"Get off me." Lo'ak says after jumping off.
"Lo'ak! Come back!"
"He's going to Payakan." Neteyam says as we get on our Ilu and follow Lo'ak.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"It is coming!" Tsireya says
"We gotta go!" I say to them as they get free something from the Tulkun we all dive underwater. We move through under water leafs trying to get away from the sky people as they dive down, to try and get us.
I navigated the vibrant coral reefs atop my Ilu. The underwater chase became a dance of speed and evasion,
We navigated through plants and other things trying to get away. As the pursuit intensified, my mind raced, contemplating the best course of action to take. My Ilu adjusted its course.
Before we could go further a net went around me and my Ilu. I told my Ilu to try and swim away. Thankfully the Ilu got out of the net before it was brought up to the surface. I only had my knife tried to cut my way out.
But I was put on a sky people's ship along, in another net, Lo'ak, Tsireya, and Tuk. I raised my knife up to the sky people. "Put the weapon down! Put it down."
I snarled not giving up so easily. I look around to see an avatar had her hand around Tuk trying to get her to let go of her small knife she had. "Put it down!"
A avatar came towards me I raised my knife and cut his arm. "You little shit!" He yells. I try to fight but fail as he drags me to a railing and cuffs me to it. I hiss. He grins.
"Hey! Hey, what are you doing? Stop!" It was spider. "Stop. Don't hurt them."
He tried to come towards us but soldiers came and tried to take him back inside. "Spider!" I yell
"Bro, you okay?" He asks.
Tuk yelps as she is cuffed tightly to the railing "Yeah. Great, cuz." Lo'ak rolls his eyes.
"Get back to the bridge." A man says. It was none other then Quaritch. "Keep him there!"
Soldiers grabbed Spiders arms. "I'm going." He says the repeats it and shaking off the soldiers grin as he goes back inside.
Lo'ak snarles. "Yeah." Quaritch starts "I remember you."
"Watch 'em. They bite." Another avatar said as Quaritch moves down.
"I didn't see you when I met your siblings." Quaritch stops at me.
"You point is?" I say he reaches down and takes my braid. I snarl.
"How about I kill you?" He grins. "What's your name?"
I think for a moment but he pulls my braid and I hiss. "I am Tsa'lu te suli Neytiri'ite first born of Turok Makto, who led the clans to victory against the sky people in the first Great War." I pause thinking for a moment. "My father and mother will find you and kill you again and again before you hurt our family."
He laughs. "I doubt it."
"Don't underestimate Turok Makto and his wife. They will kill you like how they killed your human body in the first Great War."
He pulls out his knife and bring it to my right eye and bring it down making a line. I hiss in pain. He grins and gets up, putting his knife away and talking with his soldiers.
He comes back over to Lo'ak and pulls out his communication. "Jake, tell your friends to stand down. You want your kids back, you come out alone. You know better than to test my resolve."
In the distance we can see our father thinking, talking to Tonowari. We can see mother flying over head. "I took you under my wing, Jake. You betrayed me. You killed your own. Good men. Good women. I will not hesitate to execute your kids starting with Tsa'lu."
"Check your fire I'm coming out." Dad starts riding out.
"I have a clean shot." One of the soldiers said.
"No, wait until he is on board."
I hiss and then I try to yell. "Don't do it dad! There gonna kill you!" Quaritch comes over and hits me in the face. Before he can do anything else. A shadow appears.
It hits the deck crushing some soldiers and denting the ship. Soldiers start firing before we hear Lo'ak scream. "Brother!"
