-Chapter 10-

The Metkayina soldiers charged at the sky people's ships. The Tulkun moved its fin knocking some soldiers away. One dropped a knife by me I quickly used my foot to get the knife then got it in my hands. I quickly cut off  my ropes.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" A soldier said as I was cutting Lo'ak's ropes.

I quickly finished cutting the ropes and ran to the solider as she charged at me and stabbed her in the chest and hissed. Then started fighting other people.

Despite being outnumbered,  I striked many sky people. With each strike, I aimed for vulnerable spots, exploiting weaknesses in the  opponents defenses. As I moved my movements were fluid and calculated, leaving their enemies in awe of  prowess.

I was standing off with an avatar as we charged. The avatar trying to shoot at me as I grazed him on the arm as he yelled out.

I ran away from him and his behide a corner. A second later the avatar ran past me as I jumped on him in suprise and stabbed him in the neck. Blood coming over me.

His body dropped to the floor as I continued to run. To find someone. I heard voices and shots as I held up my knife.

A few moments later the shots and yelling stopped as I turned around the corner to see Neteyam Lo'ak and spider. Talking quietly.

"Where is Kiri and Tuk?"  I asks, wondering where they might be.

"Don't worry there off the ship." Neteyam replied. Then there was shooting. We  turned back to see more soldiers. Lo'ak grabbed a dead sky persons gun and pulled the trigger a few times getting knocked back, before Neteyam grabbed it. They all dove into the water.

We all resurfaced laughing. Lo'ak and Spider got on an Ilu "Get on! Come on, bro!" He said

"You skxawng." Neteyam said. I looked at him "I'm shot." My grin dropped. I swam over to Neteyam "shit!"

"Gimme a hand!" I say to Lo'ak as he comes over "Keep him up!"

We get him on an Ilu as Lo'ak then races somewhere and I call my Ilu and race to where they were going.
"It's Neteyam!" I heard Lo'ak say and some coughing as I reached where they were at and helped pull Neteyam up by some rocks. Dad was beside us.

"Bro, watch his head. Watch his head." Lo'ak says. Neteyam's breath starts going rapidly.

"It's okay," I say "We got you." Dad turns over Neteyam. We can see another hole through the back.

"Oh, no. Put pressure. Put pressure on it." He tells Lo'ak

"Dad, I..." Neteyam tries to say something.

"It's okay. I'm here." He says

"No, no, no, no, no." We hear I look over to see Mom coming over and we can also hear dad say again, "It's okay. I'm here."

"It's okay, son. I gotcha." He says again. Neteyam starts gasping laboriously.

"It's okay." I say a tears starting to form.

"I want to go home." Neteyam grunts, he gaps rapidly. His voice quivering.

"I know. I know. It's okay, we're goin' home. We're goin' home. We're goin' home." Neteyam starts to slowly close his eyes. "It's okay. It's okay."

"Dad, I..." Neteyam starts to say, but then stops. He stopped breathing. There was a moment of silence before Mom started screaming.

I yell out in pain, I had just lost my brother. Dad reaches over a hand as he holds mom. I hear someone come up to the rock and arms come around me. Ao'nung. He pulls me back as I cry into his chest.

Why? Oh Ewya. Why? I soon feel angry. Why did Ewya take him from us. I start shaking off Ao'nung's grip. "Let go of me." I mumble. "Let go of me!" I say louder. I break from his grip.

"Tsa'lu! Don't go anywhere." Dad tries to say. I call out my Ilu, I get on and swim away.
