Few weeks later Mephisto was at Rad in the newspaper office doing work while his younger brother was sitting at a table playing on a computer. Until Lucifer suddenly walked in.

Mephisto : you could always knock you know?"

Lucifer : I-why is your brother here?"

Mephisto : he's worried about me so I just brought him over after he attempted to follow me a few times"

Mephisto's brother : hello ugly man!"

Lucifer : ......my name is Lucifer......."

Mephisto : no he got it right the first time"

Lucifer :..... anyway I needed to deliver something to you. Diavolo wanted you to work on a story about Rad that's going to be in the Devildom magazine"

Mephisto : ok I'll get to it"

Lucifer : he says if all goes well you'll get promoted."

Mephisto : ... what kind of promotion?"

Lucifer : not sure yet. That's all I was told to tell you"

Mephisto : ..... sounds good then"

Lucifer : good your well"

Lucifer then turned away to leave but then Mephisto's brother said getting up.

Mephisto's brother : I want to go get something to eat from the cafeteria"

Mephisto : later when I'm done with t-

Lucifer : I can take him?"

Mephisto : I....fine"

After this Mephisto's brother left with Lucifer to the cafeteria.

Later in the cafeteria Lucifer went off to talk with some demons leaving Mephisto's brother to go get whatever he wanted to eat.
During this he saw Satan.

Mephisto's brother : your part of the group against the ugly man?"

Satan : your Mephisto's younger brother?"

Mephisto's brother : yep!"

Satan : I....I want to make a deal with you. Help me pull a prank on the ugly man and I'll pay for your lunch"

Mephisto's brother : I would do it for free but okay!"

Satan: your a good kid"

Meanwhile belphie and MC were talking to each while eating at a table and were also watching Satan and Mephisto's brother talking to each other.

MC : is anyone going to tell Satan their not actually dating?"

Belphie : he'll figure it out eventuality"

Beel : anyone know if Mephisto came over in the night a few days ago?"

Belphie : no why?"

Beel : I thought I saw him while looking through the fridge"

MC : was anything outside broken?"

Belphie : why?"

MC : .....you don't wanna know....."

Beel : what do you think their talking about?"

Belphie : probably to pull a prank on Lucifer"

MC : yeah"

Later after taking Mephisto's brother back to him he left to talk to Diavolo in his office.
And as he got there Diavolo asked seeing Lucifer looked angry and annoyed.

Diavolo : everything alright?"

Lucifer : ....no Satan had bribed Mephisto's younger brother to help in a prank against me..... anyway I gave him the message. What else did you want to talk to me about?"

Diavolo : right. Few days ago Barbatos asked me about you asking about information about the Muzan demon's. For a tour at the museum which I never told you to do.

I told him that I did tell you about it to avoid him questioning you later. Because I know you must have a good reason for lying you usually do?"

Lucifer : I was just curious"

Diavolo : Lucifer I promise whatever it is you won't get in trouble. I'm just curious why you would want to know about them?"

Lucifer : I.... I'm afraid I can't recall why I even asked Diavolo."

Diavolo : .....does this have to do with Mephisto?"

Lucifer : what?.... how did you know?"

Diavolo : so it is that. So can you tell me why you were asking about that information because of him?"

Lucifer : ..... obviously you knew him longer which means you know what I'm already thinking about him"

Diavolo : .....yes it's true. At one point he was human and so was his brother were human. And we're turned into demon's. I still never knew how or by who he always refused to tell me anything of that day"

Lucifer : what day?"

Diavolo then sat down at his desk and Lucifer followed sitting down at a chair in front of it after this Diavolo said.

Diavolo : long ago when I was a young prince Barbatos and I were task with exterminating any Muzan demon's that were alive if any.

We killed the last few alive and when we thought we got them all......we heard about a small village that was attack. We went and it looked like a bloodbath like a monster ran through the village many humans were dead.

Nobody was left alive but then as I was looking through a house I found hiding in a closet was a little boy....and he was holding a newborn baby and the boy was covered in blood and had eyes of a beast....I knew he was one of them.... and most likely was the one who killed that village.

I was told all were dangerous and needed to die....but I couldn't...he was a child...he looked scared and horrified....

I tried asking him what happened who turned him and he wouldn't tell me....but then I saw his brother had the same eyes....
And all Mephisto said was that he did it for his brother and that the humans deserved it.....I don't know what that boy went through but I couldn't hurt him.......

And I never told Barbatos. I took them in.... took them to Devildom and hid them somewhere. then went back with Barbatos and left with him back home.

And when I got home I went out and got them and convinced Barbatos I found demon children without parents so we took them in and raised them till Mephisto eventually left to live on his own with his brother.

During that time I was able to do a spell that would keep the hungry at bay at least for Mephisto and gave him a special diet to follow. As long as he got what was needed and a good amount of blood no matter what it was. He would be alright and no danger.

Eventually the hunger became not a problem at all he barely needed to follow the diet and didn't have to keep an eye on it as much but he did out of fear.

His brother I was able to turn into a regular Demon which only work because of his age and the fact he already was becoming one.""

Lucifer : why not tell Barbatos?"

Diavolo : I was afraid....that he wouldn't allow it....these demons are powerful Mephisto greatly if he did that damage ....I had to do everything I could to protect them.

Which makes me question how did you find out he was one?"

Lucifer : at the carnival his brother lost him and we found him and offered to go look for him. I eventually went off on my own to find him

And found him hiding in an alley trying to hold back his hunger by drinking his own blood. He seemed close to breaking so I did something without thinking."

Diavolo : ...... Lucifer you didn't....you let him drink yours to prevent him from losing control?"

Lucifer : at the time I didn't have time to think it through. I just knew what I knew very little about them."

Diavolo :....are you continuing this?"

Lucifer: yes...."

Diavolo : ....so it's still a problem?"

Lucifer : for a few days he seems to be fine but then the same thing happens once again."

Diavolo : .... Lucifer this is dangerous he could end up killing you on accident"

Lucifer : I was only trying to help and I have been trying to figure a way to help him so he won't have to rely on me anymore"

Diavolo : .....I will try and fix this problem. Until then please watch him with your life. Try and get him back on the diet and find other versions of blood. You also need to be careful Lucifer "

Lucifer : .....it feels out of character for you to be scolding me?"

Diavolo : yeah... your usually doing that to me? Anyway I don't know why the hungry would spiral out of control now it's been good for so long....."

Lucifer : well do not worry I'll watch him"

Diavolo : I trust he is safe with you. One more thing"

Lucifer : what is it?"

Diavolo : what are these rumors I hear about you two dating and in a pact?"

Lucifer : ......"

Diavolo : is this why your so willing to help him?"

Lucifer : ..... sure...."

Diavolo : the pact might be the reasons he's doing alright for now but could also make this worse. Anyway I trust you won't hurt him right?"

Lucifer :....yeah...."

Diavolo : good there's nothing I wouldn't do for him"

Lucifer suddenly felt very afraid as Diavolo was just smiling his whole demeanor changing the second he found out they were dating.

After this he just got up and left and realized he just dug himself a deeper hole.
