Standing next to Mephisto was Lucifer who looked relatively calm but sounded threatening and calm and had a dark aura around him that made the other demons nervous.

Demon 1 : n-nothing..."

Lucifer : I overheard you all excusing him of   certain acts and threatening to make up lies just because you 4 got called out on the things you've done. Are you really that petty? Or just plain Stupid?"

Demon 2 : we were joking..... we're sorry!"

Demon 3 : we just wanted to know if you guys were dating.. that's the only way to explain the mark..."

Lucifer : if we are what makes that your business?"

Demon 4 : he keeps denying you both are which only lea-

Lucifer : I didn't want it to be known because I don't like people knowing my business so I told him to lie. And I do apologize Mephisto for this happening "

Mephisto : ....."

Mephisto had no clue what was happening but was going with it for now.

Lucifer : now I'll give you one minute to explain why I shouldn't just kill you now?  Come on? I wanna hear it?"

Lucifer just smiled at them and they looked horrified and start panicking begging for their lives one even started crying meanwhile Mephisto was just watching this unfold.

He wasn't sure what to think about this but afterwards the demons left and he yelled.

Mephisto : what did you say!?"

Lucifer : after I solve this you can just say we broke up simple as that"

Mephisto : are you serious!?"

Lucifer : I was attempting to help you. And it was the only solution that made us both look good"

Mephisto : ......I didn't...I didn't need your help!"

Lucifer : anyway are you good now?"

Mephisto : I'm fine!..... anyway your not going to ask what they were referring to?"

Lucifer : not my business to know. And it's clearly something you do not want to discuss. We all have secrets we rather not share"

After this Lucifer walked away and Mephisto wasn't sure what to think about Lucifer's help but he guess a small percentage of him was grateful to say the least about it.

Anyway he then decided to hurry home after this since he promised his younger brother he would take him to the carnival after Rad.

Meanwhile later at the carnival Lucifer was at the carnival  with his brothers and MC and couldn't get what happened out of his head. Never could he imagine defending Mephisto and suggesting they pretend to be together just for the sake of things being said about him.

But it honestly did make him angry that they would say that to Mephisto no matter who he wouldn't like anyone being talk to like that. And could tell by looking at Mephisto that he was extremely bothered by what they said.

especially about his past. Lucifer didn't know it but Mephisto has the same emotions and anger he himself felt about his past and that was all he needed to know.

MC : you alright Lucifer?"

Lucifer : yes I am fine"

Asmo : Luci Don't you have some explaining to do?"

Lucifer : what?"

Mammon : when were you going to mention that your dating that Mephisto guy?"

Lucifer : what!?"

Satan : .....I'm going home....."

Satan then just left not wanting to hear about and probably gonna go do something but it wasn't that important.

Levi : so are you?"

Lucifer : what gave you all that idea?"

MC : Rad and Devilgram"

Lucifer : ...... we're not dating I lied"

MC : why?"

Lucifer : we came to an agreement until I can remove the pact we'll play along to avoid unwanted rumors"

Asmo : perfect enemies To Lovers story!!"

Lucifer : NO!"

MC : so when's the wedding?"

Lucifer : MC!!"

MC : you walked into this lu-!?

Mammon : isn't that Mephisto's little brother? I'm guessing by the hair?"

Everyone then walked over to his younger brother and MC ask.

MC : hey little guy are you lost?"

Mephisto brother :....yeah...I was here with my big brother then we got lost walking around...."

MC : why don't you walk with us and we'll help you find him?"

Mephisto's brother : .....ok....."

MC then held out their hand and he took it and they started walking during this he kept looking at Lucifer.

Lucifer: is there something you would like to say?"

Mephisto's brother : my big brother talks about you a lot"

Lucifer : oh he does? And what exactly does he say?".

Mephisto's brother : a lot of bad stuff I would get in trouble if I said. He also has a book about you and writes all of it in it."

Lucifer : ......"

Mephisto's brother : you don't look as ugly as my big brother says you do in person"

Lucifer : ..... I'm afraid can't say the same about your br-

MC : hey no bad talk in front of child!"

Mephisto's brother : he's going to be mad at me..."

Lucifer : depends did you run off from him?"

Mephisto's brother : no he told me to wait by the tables near the food stands while he went to get us something to eat then he never came back. So I went looking for him."

Lucifer : well he wouldn't leave you here so he is definitely around here somewhere"

Mephisto's brother : what if something bad happened to him?"

Lucifer : ....."

Lucifer thought about his pact with Mephisto more and realize he could probably track him through that.

So he started focusing trying to see if he could sense him close by and then suddenly he did and said.

Lucifer : let's check over here"

Everyone then started following Lucifer and as they got closer Lucifer started to sense like something was wrong.
