"oh my god jeongguk i fucking hate you!"

taehyung's voice rang through the dorm.

"oh god, no." seokjin said, already bracing for a stupid argument.

it was a few days later and the seven boys were hanging out in taehyung & jeongguk's dorm.

"what'd i do this time, dipshit?" jeongguk shouted back.

taehyung then appeared with two torn up shirts in his hands, looking ready to draw blood.

"i told you to shut my closet door whenever you borrow stuff so that tannie doesn't get in there!" taehyung said.

the guilty looking puppy slowly walked in, hiding against the back of taehyung's leg.

"oh so it's my fault that your demon dog ripped your shit?" jeongguk said.

"jesus, take the wheel..." yoongi mumbled.

taehyung gasped in offence, "how dare you call my tannie a demon, you whore! and yes, it is your fault! you know he's just a baby so you have to take responsibility!"

"first of all, i'm not a whore but that dog is a demon. second of all, it's not my fault you can't train that thing properly!" jeongguk yelled.

"who are you calling a 'thing'?!"

"that thing!" jeongguk said, pointing to yeontan who growled at him in response.

"see! that thing hates me, for what reason?! it's a demon sent to punish me, that's why!" he added.

"he's growling because you're scaring him jeongguk, he's just a baby!" taehyung said, picking up yeontan and holding him like a newborn.

"it's a dog for god's sake! don't blame me since your shirt is ripped cuz guess what? i didn't take your shirt between my teeth and try to eat the shit! your bAbY did that! control your creature!" jeongguk screamed.

suddenly jimin stood up, he snatched the two shirts from taehyung and threw them away. then he took yeontan from his arms and put the dog back on the floor to roam free. then he took jeongguk by the arm and brought him face to face with tae.

"now, guys, what do we have to say to eachother?" jimin said in his soft voice, looking between the two bestfriends.

"i have nothing to say to him." taehyung said, crossing him arms.

"well i don't have anything to say to you either! you literally keep that alien in our dorm! what the fuck do you think you are? a pokemon trainer or some shit?!" jeongguk teased.

"tannie is not an alien!"

"yes, it is! you-"

"YOU TWO!"

everyone looked up immediately.

has jimin ever raised his voice that high before? yoongi thought.

jimin sighed, "apologise to eachother."

"no~" taehyung whined.

"why should i?" jeongguk said.

"taehyung you need to train your own dog and not blame jeongguk for yeontan's bad habits. jeongguk you need to apologise for insulting taehyung and his dog." jimin said, peaceful once again.

taehyung and jeongguk had a stare-down. as if they were silently deciding who would apologise first, each of them trying to persuade the other to man-up do it.

suddenly, taehyung brought out his special attack.

puppy eyes.

jeongguk put up a good fight but even the strongest men couldn't resist those big, sparkly, hazel eyes.

he groaned and looked away, causing taehyung to silently cheer.

"fine, i'm sorry for insulting you and you're creature, taebear." jeongguk said.

"and~ what do you have to say taehyung?" jimin pushed.

"apology accepted ggukie." taehyung said with a smug smile.

"ahem." jimin said, glaring at him.

"fine~ i'm sorry too, ggukie."

"for?" jimin said, rolling his eyes.

"for blaming you for what tannie did."

"apology accepted." jeongguk grumbled.

"see! that wasn't so hard, was it?" jimin said, his usual smile having returned to his face which made a certain someone start to stare.

"whatever~" both boys said before walking over to sit on the couch.

jimin went and took his place back on the couch next to yoongi who had been silently watching him with a slight smile.

"you'd be a good dad."

jimin looked up, "huh? you think so?"

yoongi suddenly blushed.

fuck, i said that out loud didn't i?

"we-well," the older started, focusing back on his phone, cursing himself in his brain, "you can handle those two idiots pretty well considering they have the mental ages of second graders."

jimin smiled with a pink colour slowly consuming his features, "thank you hyungie."

jin snickered, "get a room, would you?"

jimin became more red and yoongi yelled, "shut up!"

"yah! don't speak to me like that you peasant, i-"

"ggukie, let me sit on your lap!"

"no! sit on the floor if there's no room!"

"oh god, not another fucking argument, even i don't have the energy for this shit." hoseok mumbled, getting up to get a can of sprite.

namjoon simply watched, wondering where this was even gonna go.

"the floor hurts my butt!"

"it's not like your ass is flat! you have a natural cussion!"

"i know i'm thicc but the floor is still uncomfortable!"

"sucks to suck i guess!"

taehyung crossed his arms and stomped like a toddler, "please ggukie! just let me sit on your lap!"

"oh my god, will you shut up! you're so annoying!"

the whole room went quiet.

taehyung's eyes widened and so did jeongguk's. taehyung's because he was hurt by the unexpected comment, jeongguk's because he didn't realise what he'd said until he'd said it.

"tae-" he started.

before he could finish, taehyung walked away into the bedroom of the dorm and slammed the door shut.

now, i know what you're thinking, 'he's overreacting' right?

well, it turns out that despite taehyung tough and sassy exterior, he's a very sensitive boy. all six of his friends know about this and the reason behind it.

growing up, taehyung & namjoon's parents would insult their younger son a lot. they felt that he was quite useless in comparison to his older brother who had insanely high grades and charming charisma, meanwhile he had pretty average grades in the exception to him failing math and exceeding in art. he was also a goofy and energetic kid. these things made him the opposite of his brother which is what his parents wanted him to be like.

"why can't you be more like your brother?"

"please go away taehyung, i'm on the phone!"

"leave me alone taehyung, i'm busy, go do your homework for once."

"look at your brother, you should be following his example!"

"you want to be an artist? how pathetic. do you know how risky that career is? how do you plan to succeed by drawing mediocre doodles?"

"you're so annoying, just go to your room!"

"taehyung, you're getting on my last nerve! go and be annoying somewhere else!"

"i can't stand your annoying whining! go watch tv or study or something!"

"okay taehyung, i don't care about your annoying school stories."

"why are you so annoying? your brother is nothing like you."

annoying, annoying, annoying.

that was taehyung's trigger word.

he didn't like to nag others or ask for help from others because he felt like he was being annoying.

he didn't want people to think he was annoying like his parents did.

the only person who he'd ever beg, nag, poke or ask for help from was his best friend.

jeongguk.

for some reason, taehyung felt secure with jeongguk. he felt that, even if he constantly bugged jeongguk, he wouldn't ever abandon him. jeongguk would always assure him that he would never become a bother to him.

so hearing those words leave jeongguk's mouth: "you're so annoying!"...

it hurt taehyung.

the one person who promised to never be bothered by him finally decided that he was too irritating.

"fuck..." jeongguk said.

he knew what he'd done and he knew he shouldn't have done it.

you know when you're about to say or do something that you know you'll regret later on so you try to stop yourself but you're already too far into the action to stop yourself? well, that's what happened.

"seriously, jeongguk!" namjoon complained, "you better go and comfort my baby brother!"

"he probably doesn't want to see me, not right now at least."

everyone in the room rolled their eyes and seokjin spoke up.

"jeongguk, you know damn well that you're the only one he'll open that door to."

you see, even though taehyung and jeongguk 'hated eachother', like i've mentioned, they were still best friends.

when taehyung was sad, only jeongguk knew how to comfort him and he'd only let jeongguk comfort him.

jeongguk made taehyung feel safe, so even if it was jeongguk's fault that he was upset in the first place, he'd always let him hug him and apologise to him and calm him.

jeongguk got up from his seat, knowing that seokjin was right, and walked over to the bedroom door.

hearing sniffles on the other side, he sighed.

hearing his taebear crying softly made him feel even worse.

fuck me. why am i so dumb?! i knew i shouldn't of said that, what is wrong with me, ugh!

he gently knocked on the door.

"taetae..." he quietly called.

"g-go away."

he sighed again.

"i'm coming in, okay?" he said softly.

a few seconds of silence.

"o-okay ggukie."
