The right arm moved through the deserted countryside, leaving dusty tire tracks in their wake.  The dust dispersed from the narrow paths into the breeze, and soon the air was thick with it.  Jemma and Nicolas sped off late into the night, the bright fluorescent headlights, encapsulating the orange reds of the dust and the blackness of the night sky, the harsh light a beacon in the darkness.  Tom sat in the back, gun raised at his shoulder, he had stayed that way for hours now, unmoving, a human statue.  His bright green shirt was not the best outfit for a soldier however, that was one persons judgement, as he had saved us all after all.

I am worried for the safety of our teenage associates, especially Nicolas.  The boy has the entire world after him, and I am sceptical that he is taking it as well as he has portrayed.  His companion, Jemma, looked a good fighter, she could come in hand should a fight emerge, or if Nicolas needed to be persuaded.  Tom on the other hand has already shown his worth, saving his friends, and the entire convoy, by delivering a well-placed bullet into the chest of the chaos assembly member that attacked us earlier today.  He had acted quickly and selflessly.  However I am still apprehensive at the number of men and women we have brought into our ranks, I cannot help felling that one of them may be working with the enemy.  I cannot tell Nicolas the secrets of his family, he may try go alone, putting him in danger, besides it would jeopardise my own career if we ever did get out of this mess.  The truth cannot get out, especially not with Nicolas so close by, he is far more important to this world than he could ever imagine.  No matter what happens, we must protect him.  Members of the council, must follow orders, and obey your commander, which at this current time is, me.  From this moment on my decision is final in every respect. Any one found disobeying orders will be left to meet a grisly end.  The safety of Nicolas Smith is paramount, Jemma Ashgrove and Thomas McDermot are also a priority, but Nicolas is our number one asset, he cannot fall into enemy hands, under ANY circumstances.  Anyone found conspiring with the enemy will be promptly executed.
