CHAPTER ONE, a credible threat

Leora was still trying to get used to being back in Beacon Hills. In France, she had a normal life. Or as normal as she could get with having powers and being the little sister of a werewolf and living with a hunter. It was still more calm and less stressful than being in Beacon Hills. Now that she was back, she was thrown back into the chaotic world of being a part of the McCall Pack. Yes, she loved them (besides Liam) all so much, but it was still difficult at times with everything they had to handle. Sometimes she wished she was just a normal teenager. Although she supposed that would make things more boring. And there was one thing she was for sure of and that was the fact that being in the McCall Pack was not boring.

Being in the back seat of Stiles' jeep with Liam is not what Leora preferred to do on any night or day. She would rather do homework than hang out with Liam and she hates homework. But the boys needed help because they're tracking down Parrish who went haywire.

"Scott," Leora glances at the boy in the passenger seat. "Any lead on Parrish?"

Scott glances at his phone when he gets a message. He nods. "He's headed to the school."

Liam moves over so he's sitting in the middle seat in the back and leans forward, leaning his arms on the side of the passenger seat and drivers seat. "Why's Parrish headed to the school?"

Leora rolls her eyes. "How would any of us know that, Liam?" Liam sends her an annoyed expression. "What? You asked a stupid question." Leora leans back against the seat, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked at Liam. "So I answered you in a smart**way."

Liam's nostrils flared as he glares at her. "I didn't need your attitude!"

"And I don't need yours," Leora says calmly, raising an eyebrow. "Now can you get out of my personal bubble? I know I'm beautiful but I don't want you drooling all over me."

Liam growls. "You're the one-"

"Shut up!" Scott glares at the two teenagers. He shakes his head and rubs his temples. "I'm gonna have a headache before the end of this night."

Liam opens his mouth to speak but Leora hits his shoulder. He growls again and looks at the girl with annoyance. "What was that for?"

"Being annoying." Leora responded with a shrug.

Liam looks offended and looks back at Scott. "Hey, Scott? How long are we gonna keep her around? We don't really need her so we could just kick her out, you know?"

Leora scoffs. "Excuse me? Last time I checked, I'm here because you guys asked for my help. And believe me, I'd much rather be doing anything else than sitting next to you. But by all means, feel free to try kicking me out. Let's see how far you get without my help." She smirks. "Not very far, I bet."

Scott and Stiles exchange a glance and shake their heads. They knew from experience that the two would continue arguing. The only way to shut them up was to make them do something other than arguing. And there was only one way to make them stop arguing.

Stiles and Scott sigh simultaneously. "Will you two kiss and make up already?" Stiles asks, exasperated. He didn't want to listen to their arguing anymore. "Seriously. It's giving us a headache." He knew that the two hated each other, but he also figured that if they kissed then maybe they'd redirect their focus away from arguing and toward something else.

Leora's eyes widen, and she leans away from Liam as if he suddenly had a contagious disease. "Ew, no way!" She looks at Stiles and Scott with an expression that screamed 'really?' "Are you kidding me? No, I'm not gonna kiss this idiot. I have standards and I refuse to stoop that low. I mean, come on, he's Liam." She waves a hand towards Liam, as if he's not important. "If I'm going to kiss anybody, it's gotta be somebody who has brains and isn't annoying as h**."

Liam looks offended as he scowls at the girl. "Well, it's not like you're perfect either." He crosses his arms. "At least I'm not the one who acts like a stuck up b-"

Stiles throws his hands up in frustration as he interrupts Liam. "Well, then, can you at least agree to a ceasefire? We have more important things to focus on right now."

The tension in the backseat of the jeep remained palpable even after Stiles' plea for a ceasefire. Leora and Liam exchanged one last glare before reluctantly nodding, acknowledging that for the time being, they needed to set aside their differences.

Leora breaks the silence first, her voice laced with irritation. "Fine, ceasefire. But don't think for a second that means I like you."

Liam scoffs, but then nods in agreement. "Right back at you."

As soon as he heard the word 'ceasefire', Stiles let out a sigh of relief. "Thank, God." He murmured under his breath, thankful that the incessant arguing had finally stopped, at least for now. He glanced over at Scott, who was focused on driving, and gave him a grateful nod before turning his attention back to the road ahead.

Scott, relieved that the tension had dissipated, nodded back at Stiles with a small smile. Leora, still visibly annoyed, leaned back against the seat with her arms crossed, her gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside. She couldn't wait for this whole ordeal to be over so she could go back to her normal life, away from Liam and his aggravating presence.

Liam rolled his eyes, trying not to let his annoyance show, and leaned back as well, staring out the window. The silence that had replaced the earlier argument was more tense than ever, and it was clear that neither of the two teenagers wanted to be near each other right now. Liam tried to mask his annoyance as he stared out the window, avoiding any interaction with Leora. He knew that they needed to work together to track down Parrish, but that didn't mean he had to like it.

"So, Parrish isn't Parrish, right?" Leora finally spoke up, breaking the awkward silence. She was a bit confused on the situation. "He's some...Thing? I'm not too sure what the h** is going on, honestly. I mean, last week everything was fine. Now Parrish is going all crazy and burning people? What's the deal?"

"Parrish isn't human," Scott says. "He's a Hellhound." He explains to her, figuring she should know since she was helping them out. "Basically Parrish is a supernatural creature tasked with guiding souls to the afterlife. But sometimes, his Hellhound instincts take over, and he becomes a force of destruction, burning anything and anyone in his path."

Leora's eyes widen in surprise at the revelation. "A Hellhound? Seriously?" She shakes her head, trying to wrap her mind around the concept. "And here I thought dealing with werewolves and every other supernatural creature we came across was crazy enough." She sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"Okay, well," Liam furrows his eyebrows, slowly nodding in response. "Then why's a Hellhound going to the school?"

"'Cause he's got a yearning for higher education." Stiles sarcastically responds, earning a snicker from Leora. When Liam looks at him with narrowed eyes, he shrugs. "Liam, Hellhound's at the school, so we're going to the school. Okay?"

Liam leans back against the seat, moving to the left side of the back since Leora sat on the right side as Stiles accelerated the gearshift which made the jeep drive faster. Leora shakes her head, glancing out the window. "You ask too many questions, Dumbar, you know that?"

"It's Dunbar." Liam corrects her, glaring at her. "And you know you're an insufferable a-"

"Enough!" Scott turns around and glares at the two teens. He had enough of their bickering. "Seriously! Can you two stop fighting for five minutes and just focus on the task at hand? You're acting like kids!"

"Sorry." Leora and Liam mumbled in unison, averting their gazes from Scott. They had both recoiled slightly at the intensity of his tone, and neither wanted to face his wrath.

Stiles chuckles softly, amused at how quickly the two had complied under Scott's authoritative glare. "Nice."

Leora sends a glare his way, narrowing her eyes. "I'll kill you, Stilinski. Don't tempt me."

"You know, for a fifteen-year-old, you have quite the attitude." Stiles responded, not the slightest bit threatened by her threat.

"For a seventeen-year-old, you don't have the brain capacity to figure out that the best thing you could do right now is keep your mouth shut." Leora snapped, raising an eyebrow at Stiles. She knew she could be intimidating when she wanted to be, and she wasn't about to let Stiles get away with his teasing remarks.

Stiles chuckles, unfazed by Leora's sharp retort. "Touché," He concedes, raising his hands in surrender. "I'll zip it."

With a satisfied smirk, Leora turned her attention back to the road ahead, her irritation slowly subsiding now that the arguing had ceased, at least for the moment. She knew they had a long night ahead of them, tracking down Parrish and dealing with whatever chaos he was causing, but for now, she was content to focus on the task at hand and put aside her differences with Liam and Stiles, even if it was only temporary.

****

When they get to the school Liam is the last one to get out of the jeep, accidentally banging the door too hard which startled Leora, Scott, and Stiles. Leora huffs in annoyance and sent a glare his way. "Jeez, Dumbar, do you have to be so rough with everything?" She raised an eyebrow.

Liam clenched his jaw, resisting the urge to argue. "Sorry, okay? I'm a little tense."

Leora rolled her eyes, brushing past him as she began walking towards the entrance of the school. "Just try not to break anything," She said, her tone laced with sarcasm.

Liam scowls, following behind her. "Oh, yeah, because you're such a saint."

Scott sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he trailed behind the two bickering teens. This was going to be a long night.

"You know, the more they fight, the more they act like an old married couple." Stiles pointed out, a grin playing on his lips.

Scott chuckles softly, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, except without any of the affection or lovey-dovey stuff." He shakes his head, amused by the comparison. "They definitely have the arguing down though."

Stiles nods, chuckling as well. "True. Maybe we should start taking bets on when they'll finally admit they secretly like each other."

Scott laughs, shaking his head. "I don't think we'll live long enough to see that happen."

Leora and Liam pause mid-argument, turning around to glare at the two boys. "We can hear you, you know!"

Scott and Stiles exchange an amused look before hurrying after the two teens, knowing that the sooner they dealt with Parrish, the better.

****

They meet Chris outside of the school and as they got closer to him Leora noticed he held a gun. Leora raises her eyebrows at seeing it. "Hopefully that's some magic gun that can work on a Hellhound 'cause I'm pretty sure a regular gun is useless."

Chris looks amused by her question and before he could answer, Scott chimes in with a question. "Where's Parrish?" Scott asked.

"I lost him." Chris replies with a sigh. "He's moving too fast."

"Scott..." Leora glances at Liam when he talks looking at him weirdly since he was looking intently to his left. She looks at him weirdly until she looks in the direction he's looking at, her eyes widening upon seeing a man who looks dead. "That guy's not moving at all." Liam finished his sentence.

Chris, Scott, and Stiles looks in the direction the younger teens are looking at, everyone surprised to see a man laying on the ground in a pool of blood. Leora's face scrunched up with disgust at seeing the scene. "Ugh, gross. That's definitely not something you see everyday." She murmured under her breath. Scott was the one to start walking towards the body, followed by Chris, Leora, and Liam. Stiles was the only hesitant one, but he reluctantly followed after Scott gestured for him to follow him with a nod of his head.

Leora didn't know why she felt her heartbeat increase the closer she got to the dead man. The dead man meant he was killed by something. Maybe the Beast or maybe even Parrish. She's not for sure which one she would want it to be. And she's not sure if she wanted to find out. When they get to the man, Leora saw deep claw marks on his chest. That nor the blood surrounding the man was what concerned Leora the most. It was the fact that the man's entire chest was ripped out. She never seen anything like it before.

"Definitely not sleeping tonight." Leora mumbled, feeling a little queasy at the sight.

"No kidding," Stiles agrees, his voice tinged with disgust. "This is beyond messed up."

The group cautiously walked around the man, continuing down the sidewalk. After spotting another dead body, they find themselves by the place the busses are parked.

They stop when they're standing in front of a bus that was open and a shocked expression formed on Leora's face along with the others upon seeing the bodies inside were all ripped open. She jumped, instinctively grabbing onto Liam's arm since she was startled when suddenly one of the body's moved.

Liam glanced down at her hand on his arm, narrowing his eyes at her and wondered why she had grabbed onto him. Leora looked at his arm as if just realizing what she had done. They exchanged a glance as she quickly took her hand off his arm, stepping away from him, muttering a quick 'sorry' since she knew he would hear it with his enhanced hearing.

She was surprised that she had grabbed him. She would've much rather grabbed Scott, Stiles, or even Chris, but Liam was the closest to her, so she had reached for his arm. Liam seemed a bit surprised as well, his gaze lingering on her hand that was just touching his arm. He was curious why she had grabbed him and why his skin tingled a bit from her touch. He didn't know why he felt disappointed when she pulled away from him and he wondered why his heart skipped a beat when she said the words 'sorry' softly.

The boy that moved lifts his head, weakly reaching a hand out to the five of them. "Help...Me."

The group takes a step forward, stopping when they hear a deep familiar voice. "It's a trap." Parrish walked around the corner in his Hellhound form. Leora jumped, startled by his sudden voice. Parrish's appearance had caused Liam to jump as well, causing him to accidently grab Leora's hand. The girl was surprised by the contact and looked down at their hands with wide eyes, looking back at Liam, giving him a questioning look. Liam's eyes widened as well, looking down at their hands then at her face, and pulled his hand away, clearing his throat awkwardly.

Leora and Liam exchanged a glance before turning their attention back to Parrish. "Please..." The boy inside the bus pleaded. Scott went to move forward, but Leora grabbed his arm, shaking her head at him when he glanced back at her with furrowed eyebrows. She let go of his arm when she knew he wouldn't move forward again.

The Hellhound stops a few feet from the group, standing closer to the bus than they were. He looks back at them. "You can't help him."

Leora takes a step back in fear, now slightly standing behind Scott when the boy was ripped in half by the Beast. The others had took a step back in fear as well upon suddenly seeing the Beast. Leora watched the Beast look at them with its glowing eyes, her own eyes widening and her heartbeat increasing.

"That's big." Stiles notices. "No one said it was that big."

"I did." Liam reminded him.

The Beast roars loudly and the Hellhound roared back just as loud. Parrish went off after the Beast after it left the bus.

"Anyone else confused at what the heck is happening?" Leora inquired. She was very confused on the whole situation. She was a little glad she was confused though since it distracted her from the nauseous feeling she had.

"It's getting smarter." Chris answered.

Leora sighs heavily and sarcastically comments, "Oh, great."

****

"Mason said it's not just a transmitted frequency." Liam explained the next day in the school's library from his place across from Leora. The group, including Leora, Liam, Lydia, Scott, and Stiles were sitting at a table in the library.

"He said it's also high-powered." Leora chimes in, speaking just before Liam continues which earned her an annoyed expression. She just sent him a smirk and looks at everyone as she continues. "For it to work it has to be a really strong signal."

Liam huffed and rolled his eyes, clearly upset at the fact that she interrupted him. She just grinned in response, enjoying the annoyance she was causing him.Lydia furrows her eyebrows. "And that's causing it to shift?"

"No." Scott shakes his head. "I don't think it's just that. Last night Argent said that it's getting smarter. What if the Dread Doctors are trying to make the Beast grow faster?"

"With frequencies?" Stiles guessed.

"No, by shifting." Scott clarifies. "The frequency is just the trigger. The important part is when it shifts into the werewolf."

"Like Peter." Lydia realized.

"Right." Scott agrees. "Yeah, when Peter was an Alpha he got stronger every full moon. Eventually, the burns healed and he was back to normal."

"So the Dread Doctors don't want to wait for the full moon." Liam spoke.

Scott nods. "They want the Beast to be as strong as possible, as fast as possible."

"Because of Parrish." Liam nodded.

"So if this is happening tonight, what are we going to do?" Lydia questioned.

"Uh, we've got one clue to go on." Stiles replies. He gets a picture from his backpack, setting it on the middle of the table for each of them to see. "This came from the hospital." Scott kneels between where Leora and Lydia are sitting, looking at the picture along with everyone else. "Whoever's lurking inside the Beast is wearing a size ten of indeterminate make."

Lydia looks at him. "Indeterminate?"

"Means, it's a partial print." Stiles explains. "Basically, it was all we were able to get considering all the fire, blood and carnage."

"How many size tens are out there?" Scott inquired.

"Only one with Parrish's blood on the sole." Stiles replied.

Leora furrows her eyebrows, shaking her head. "Does this mean we have to try and get the game canceled?"

"No, no," Stiles shakes his head. "We're going to play, but we're just going to hope really hard that it doesn't turn into a blood-soaked massacre."

"Okay, but, um, aren't we kind of missing out on a chance to catch this thing? We don't have the 'who', but we have 'where' and 'when'." Liam pointed out.

Everyone looks at Scott while he stands up. He shakes his head. "There's too many people."

"And we still don't actually know if it's going to happen." Lydia shrugs. "It just might end up being a regular lacrosse game. It's possible, right?"

"Well, anything is possible." Leora replies. "Especially in Beacon Hills." She muttered the last part under her breath.

"So we're still getting the game canceled?" Liam repeated part of the question Leora asked only a few seconds ago which made her roll her eyes.

Scott nods. "We're getting the game canceled."

****

Scott and Stiles asked Leora to join them with trying to convince Coach Finstock to coach the charity game. Leora was more than confused as to why the boys wanted her to join, but then they added that Coach trusted and respected Leora more than them. So they figured if she would ask him to coach the game then he might actually consider it.

When they arrive at the rehab center Coach is staying at, the three teens exchange a look upon seeing Coach was sitting on the couch with his head leaned back against the back of the couch. His eyes were open, but he wasn't blinking.

"Okay, this is creepy." Leora comments and the boys nodded in agreement while they walked inside. "He looks dead." She and the boys walked around the couch and as Scott and Stiles sat on each side of Coach on the couch she stood beside them. "Is he dead?" She wondered, leaning forward slightly to get a better look at the man.

Stiles narrows his eyes at Coach, whispering, "What?"

"Hey, Coach. It's...It's Scott and Stiles." Scott stammers. When Coach didn't move or say anything and after he winced when Leora punched him in the shoulder for leaving her out, he quickly adds, "And Leora."

Leora raises her eyebrows when Coach still didn't move and kept quiet. "Uh, Coach?" She asked as Stiles waved a hand in front of Coach's face. It was clear that Coach was sleeping with his eyes open. Leora was honestly creeped out by people who can do that and she was a bit jealous. She would love to be able to sleep with her eyes open so she could sleep through boring lectures in school and whenever Liam is talking.

"Coach, you're in rehab. You didn't have a lobotomy." Stiles remarked. Leora snickered at his remark. She liked his sense of humor. It was hilarious.

"Coach?" Scott tried getting his attention again.

Stiles sighs, looking at the coffee table. Noticing the chess game he decides to reach toward it to move a piece, his eyes widening when Coach suddenly grabbed his arm. Leora let out a yelp, jumping back a step, her eyes wide and her hand over her heart as her heart beat sped up. She didn't like jump scares and that was definitely a jump scare.

Coach looks over at Stiles and says, "Don't you touch it. I've got Nurse Gonzalez by the balls of the last three moves," He chuckles, sitting up straighter and let go of Stiles' arm. "And she knows it."

"Let it go." Stiles tells him. "You're checking out of this place now."

Coach shakes his head. "Not a chance."

"Okay, Coach. But, we know you're fine." Scott said.

Coach shushes him quickly, causing the three teens to share a look. "I have a debilitating disease."

Leora raises her eyebrows, not believing him for a second. "Okay, then tell us what that disease is."

"My disease I have is called 'I'm not going to take another arrow to my stomach-phobia.' Look it up." Coach retorted, clearly lying about his 'disease'.

"Nobody's shooting arrows at anyone, okay?" Scott reassures him. "We just need you to coach the charity game."

Coach scoffs. "Charity? Not a chance."

"How exactly have you been conning them into letting you stay here?" Stiles inquired.

"I, uh...I have relapses." Coach stammered.

Leora stares at him with a deadpanned expression. "Relapses? You're seriously faking relapses? That's a low move, Coach."

"It's-It's serious." Coach nods. "I've had seven of them."

Scott furrows his eyebrows. "So once a month?"

"Yeah, you see, uh, every time they are just about to discharge me," Coach clicks his tongue and shrugs. "I relapse."

Stiles raises his eyebrows. "And no one's noticed that pattern?"

Leora shakes her head. "You'd think they'd be smart enough to realize that by now." She commented sarcastically."I have phenomenal health insurance. So why don't you guys get the h**l out of here. I hate charity games. They're meaningless." Coach grumbled.

"Ouch. What did the charities do to you?" Leora asked with a raised eyebrow, not surprised when he didn't answer her.

"I don't think the charities would agree." Stiles said to Coach.

"What's it for this year?" Coach asked.

"Cancer?" Scott replied.

"For or against?"

Leora's eyes widen. "Why would you even ask that?"

"Against, Coach. Deeply against." Stiles responded.

"Yeah, okay, well, I'm deeply not interested." Coach shrugged. He whistled twice, gesturing for them to leave. Leora sighed. This was going to be harder than she thought.

"Coach, we need you." Scott said.

Coach puts his hands on the boys shoulders. "I will never coach there again."

"Never say never." Leora muttered.

"That's okay. Because we don't actually need you to coach the game." Stiles reassured Coach, earning a confused look from him.

"We need you to forfeit." Scott explained and that seemed to get Coach's attention.

****

Now the group were in an empty science classroom before the game going over the plan. Scott, Stiles, Liam and Kira were in their lacrosse gear and jersey. "Mason, you know your part." Scott voiced.

"Corey and I break into the Devenford Bus and search their shoes."

"I take out the TV vans." Malia chimed in.

"Right before the whistle, Coach forfeits the game." Stiles added.

"The rest of us are looking for a size ten with a bloody sole." Liam spoke.

"Just out of curiosity, what if it doesn't work?" Malia inquired.

"I was also wondering that." Leora admits. "I mean, there are a lot of things that can go wrong."

Malia nods in agreement. "What if we have to go up against this thing? I mean, I hate to bring up bad memories, but Scott's still healing from what Theo did to him."

"No, he's not." Kira shook her head.

"She's right." Scott agrees. Everyone glances at him in surprise. He lifts his shirt and jersey up to reveal the cuts he gotten were fully healed. "It happened the night we got Lydia out of Eichen House. I healed. When we were all together again, when we were a pack."

"The Beast doesn't have a pack." Liam pointed out.

"Not like us." Scott smiles. "We can do this, guys. No one dies tonight."

****

Soon everyone is at the game. Leora sat in the stands, waiting for the perfect time to check for bloody soles on shoes. When she heard Coach blow the whistle, she was surprised and confused. She thought he had agreed to forfeit the game before he blew the whistle. Looks like Coach had his own plan.

Leora watched the game with a sigh and a shake of her head, not liking the fact that the plan went wrong. She decided to get a head start with checking for bloody soles on the shoes. So she stood up and climbed down the bleachers.

She then walked behind the bleachers, noticing Lori Talbot, Brett Talbot's sister checking the soles of shoes. She figured she and her brother were helping the pack out with this which made her smile a bit. "Hey." She greeted the blonde, startling her. "Sorry. Did you find the shoes yet?"

Lori shakes her head. "Not yet."

"Okay, I'm gonna start checking." Leora tells her. She points over her left shoulder. "I'll go this way and you go that way."

Lori nods. "Alright. Good luck."

"You, too."

Leora started checking for the bloody sole on the shoes. She could hear the game continue in the background. She caught a glimpse of Kira knocking down some players from the other team. That was most likely her way of trying to see their shoes while still being on the field, but she wondered where the sudden aggression came from.

So far Leora and Lori hadn't had any luck with finding the bloody shoes. Leora had been somewhat watching the game a bit as she checked the shoes. She gasped when Kira knocked Brett down after he knocked her down. Kira was then ordered to go off the field by the ref.

Leora and Lori had just met at the end of the bleachers when they stopped at seeing an angry Kira walking by. They shared a confused look and looked over to see Scott had tried to follow Kira, but stopped after Kira got to far. Scott nodded at Lori after seeing her questioning look and Lori nodded back, going after Kira.

"Scott, what happened?" Leora asked, walking over to him.

"I don't know." Scott admits. "She didn't seem like herself. It seemed like she was out of control. And when she talked once, her voice sounded different." He explained worriedly.

Leora's eyes widen slightly with surprise. "Oh, wow. Okay, um, just try to focus on the plan, alright? And be careful." She was worried for him. She didn't want anything to happen to him or any of her friends.

Scott smiles reassuringly. "I'll be fine. You be careful too."

"Always am." Leora joked, getting a small chuckle from him.

"I guess you and Lori didn't have any luck finding any bloody shoes?" Scott asked.

"Not yet." Leora sighs. "But I'm gonna keep looking."

Scott nods. "Alright. Keep me updated if you find something."

"You, too."

****

Leora felt like she wasn't getting anywhere on her own. She noticed it seemed like Malia hadn't took out all the TV vans so she decided to go check on her to see what was going on. She stopped when she noticed Malia's mother was with her and her eyes widened. She was surprised at seeing her. And confused, she didn't know why Malia's mother suddenly showed up to the game. She tried to not get noticed by them, but she knew that she would fail since they both had enhanced hearing.

"Who's this? Another one of your little high school friends?" Corrine, Malia's mother, taunted.

"What are you doing here?" Malia asked Leora with raised eyebrows. She didn't want anyone she cared about near her mother. She and Leora had grown close and had formed like a sister type of bond. She didn't want her to get hurt because of her mother.

"Just wanted to check on you since it seemed like you needed help with that thing you were working on before." Leora replied, not saying too much since she figured they weren't telling Corrine what was going on.

"Yeah, got a little distracted." Malia sent a glare to her mom. "I'll get back on it."

"Distracted?" Corrine scoffs. "More like completely useless. And now you have a friend to see you are."

"I can assure you I've never seen Malia useless." Leora tells the woman, not liking how she was talking to her daughter. "And I can be just as stubborn as her when I want to be, so if you don't stop talking to her like that I will find a way to make sure you will never see her again." She threatened, but Corrine didn't seem fazed by it.

"Well, aren't you cute." Corrine comments, walking around her daughter and up to Leora. Leora tenses slightly, feeling intimidated by the woman, but refused to show it. Malia watches her mother closely as she approached Leora, tensing up as well as she stayed on high alert. Corrine gets up in Leora's personal space, looking her in the eye. "If you really believe my daughter can be of any use then you are sadly mistaken. She's not worth your time or your friendship. Now leave." She growled.

"Uh, no." Leora replies sassily. She was not about to back down from her. She was not afraid of her. She could care less what she did or said. "I'm not leaving my friend alone with someone who doesn't seem to understand the definition of a good mother."

Corrine's eyes narrow at Leora's response, clearly not expecting her to stand up to her. "You have no idea what kind of mother I am," She retorts sharply. "And you have no business interfering in our family matters."

"Family?" Leora scoffs. "Is that what you call it? Cause last I checked family don't treat their children the way you've treated her."

"Leora, just drop it." Malia spoke up.

Leora was about to argue, but the look in Malia's eyes stopped her. Malia appreciated Leora standing up for her, but she didn't want her to get hurt. So she dropped it and took a step back, looking back at Corrine with a glare.

"Smart girl." Corrine remarks, turning to look at Malia. "You really think you're going to make a difference, don't you?" Corrine asks her daughter, stepping towards her as Malia took a step back, eying the TV vans. "Who are you trying to save out here? A bunch of random people? Your little high school friends? Blondie over here?" She questioned, gesturing with a nod of her head to Leora, who glared at her in response.

Leora overheard the ref call out overtime which surprised her a bit. "You want to do this now? Fine." Malia extended her claws, but her mother didn't look fazed.

Corrine looks past Malia and Leora, raising her eyebrows. "It's him, isn't it? That's the one."

The two of them look behind them to see Stiles leaning against the back of the bleachers, holding an ice pack to his head. Leora just roll her eyes, not surprised that Stiles had gotten hurt already. They both look back at where Corrine was, surprised to not see her there suddenly.

"That's not good." Leora mutters. "Malia, we'll worry about her later. We gotta destroy the TV vans."

"I got it." Malia jumped on a nearby van and pulled out the wires, then she jumped back down and landed on her feet.

"We're back up." A man on top of a nearby TV van said to a news reporter.

"Perfect. This thing's a nail-biter. Let's roll the tape." The news reporter said and she went to turn her microphone on, emitting a loud high pitched noise and all the cameras on the TV vans sparked. Everyone at the field and on the bleachers covered their ears at the loud microphone feedback.

One moment everyone was confused at what was going on, but then chaos happened.

A/N i already love liam & leora's bond ! also loving her bond with everyone else too & i hope you guys are enjoying it as well !
