ONE
A young girl with reddish brown short hair was sitting within an integration room. She was hugging the oversize coat and attempting to cover her bandages up arms. Her left cheek had a square bandage with a little tape to cover the cut on her cheek.
Her dull green eyes staring into her lap remembering what she had a witness that will leave a traumatizing scar in her mind.
She snaps out of the trace and glances over to the door with her dull eyes to see two police officers, who took a seat in front of her. Both police officer shows her a smile, which she didn't respond to.
"We will ask you a few questions. You don't have to speak in words, but you can nod or shake your head for each question.
Let's begin. You will be out in no time with your guardian." One of the police officers says as the other opens the yellow folder to take out three different pictures meaning three identities that she has to confirm that they have the accurate information.
Meanwhile downstairs in the police department building, who is supposed to be her guardian, Shouta Aizawa if she were to become an orphan.
Aizawa holds a straight face as he reads through the papers, before signing the papers that needed his signature making him officially your guardian. He closes the brown felt folder close and putting the pen down beside it. The lawyer takes the folder and checking over that he has sign what was necessary, before thanking him for his time.
"Was it necessary to bring her here to be questioned? Wouldn't it best interest for you to wait until she is better condition than she is now. She is just a kid who has gotten through something traumatizing just a few hours prior. She has a powerful quirk that she is still learning on how to control it. Anything that might trigger her, will also make her quirk activate which can get out of control when she is not stable at all. " He asks the chief of the police force who stood beside him.
"I understand your concern about her well being. It's mandatory for kids that are involved in this kind of cases. The murder of her own mother and her father MIA from his latest jo-" Kenji Tsuragamae stops when he feels the floor starts to shake uncontrollably and hears the ceiling cracking in the progress.
"Evacuate!" He orders to only earn the alarms to turn on to have all the police officers to evacuate. He thinks it was an earthquake to only realize it wasn't when he reaches outside.
Aizawa was running up the stairs to see police officers injured and running down the stairs. He has a gut feeling that it wasn't an earthquake at all, but someone's quirk. He stops at the floor level where he hears laughing, but it wasn't normal laughter. It was dark more like madness.
He grabs the ropes around his neck and opens the door ready to face whatever was behind the door to only see a few injured police officer who runs for it once he opens the door.
He sees massive holes and cracks within the walls, floor that goes to the next few floors below. He turns his head instantly at the sound of running footsteps and jumps back to dodge a punch that hit the wall beside him which instantly shatters the wall in impact. The ceiling starts to fall away, as the floor underneath them.
His eyes widen to see it was the kid that he is supposed to take under his care. His now dead best friend's cheerful child, Asuka Takemi. The kid who always wears a smile with tearful eyes when she is in pain.
She was staring at him with murderous eyes and blood running down her cheeks and arms. She laughs manically and aims at him with another attack to only make her pass out cold once he activated his quirk.
He catches her just in time and runs towards the close window that was already shattered.
Using the ropes to fly him out of the building just as the building collapses to the ground like it was nothing. He lands on a roof to see the consequences of having her quirk out of control, more than she can manage. She was consumed by her own quirk power, that her own body couldn't keep up.
He jumps off from different roofs to another once he reaches to the building that was the closest to the police force people who were injured getting treated by paramedics. He lands down to the ground and places her on stretches. She was immediately taken to ambulances taking her to the closest hospital. The paramedics start immediately on treating her injuries when they saw how bad her body condition is in.
Aizawa looks at his hands that were holding her against him was covered by blood. He looks up to see the chief of the police. "It seems like she was triggered by the images of her missing brother and father. But you were correct, it would have been best to hold off the questions when she was in better condition than she is now. We will be considering the protocols when it comes to kids with quirks if they were to become involved with this kind of cases."
Aizawa nods his head in agreement and opens his mouth to say. "Hopefully this doesn't get repeated again. Excuse me, I will be going on my way."
He walks away from the chief with that and lets out a heavy knowing that he has to have a close eye on her if she was this unstable after the incident.
This could mean that her quirk might have emotionally linked to them and that part of her quirk, she seems to have no control at all.
She is more dangerous than he thought.
Now he understands why his best friend, Akemi put him as her daughter's guardian in her will if it comes for her daughter to become an orphan.
She did make a comment before when she insists for him to meet her daughter. Asuka was just 7 years old.
"I have a feeling that Asuka might have both of our quirks. Her father has Gravity Manipulation quirk, and I have Matter Manipulation quirk." Akemi states as she watches Asuka chasing after the dog around the house.
"How would you know that?" Aizawa asks her.
"I just have a gut feeling, you know." She answers with a smile before her eyes widen at the sight of her daughter walking upside down on the ceiling.
"ASUKA!"
The girl gets startled to only have her quirk to deactivate and falls onto the kitchen. She lands on her back.
Aizawa pinches his thumb and index finger the bridge of his nose. "Stupid."
He gets a pillow thrown at him. "I heard that Mister!"
He glances over to her daughter standing beside him while rubbing her head, as Akemi puts a bag of ice on the head.
"Doesn't it hurt?" Akemi says, checking she is not bleeding anywhere.
"Yeah, I am okay," Asuka answers with a smile. She is clearly in pain, seeing how she keeps rubbing her back.
"Smile, Mister." Asuka points at his mouth to remove the scowl that he always has in his face,
Takemi Asuka is an odd child indeed.
