Real life
"I wish Alycia and Marie were coming." Lindsey says as we walk down the beach to a hut the hotel had set up. There was lights stringed across poles and music was playing through some speakers. The crowd wasn't too big which we were thankful for.
"Yeah, me too. But they did have some drinks at the restaurant earlier." Eliza says as we get to the hut.
"Three margaritas." Lindsey says to the women behind the counter.
"What kind?"
"Surprise us." Lindsey tells her and then turns back to us.
"I'm just glad to get a little girl time. As much as I love those boys to death, I love my girls more." Lindsey says. I smile.
"You're too cute, Lindsey." I shake my head.
"So, since it's just us. We can talk about you and Bob." Eliza smirks.
I eye them curiously, "what about me and Bob?"
Lindsey rolls her eyes, "give us details. How is he?"
"In bed?"
"Not what I meant, but sure." Lindsey laughs and my cheeks flush. Thankfully the lady sets our drinks in front of us and I take a sip of the fruity drink. She made strawberry ones and they are pretty good.
"Well, he's amazing. He was so loving and passionate. He made sure I was comfortable and it just felt right. He really knows what he's doing." I explain. I didn't feel weird talking about it, these are my girls and sex is a natural thing.
"And the romance?" Eliza questions while taking a sip of her drink.
"He's not overboard with the romance which I like. But he says the most cutest things and i can't help but melt." I can't stop smiling now that we're on the subject of Bob.
"Have you told him?" Lindsey asks me.
"Told him what?" I shake my head in confusion.
"That you love him, Liv." She gives me a pointed look. My eyes widen and suddenly I'm choking on my margarita.
"No, I'm not sure yet." I bite my lip and play with the little umbrella inside my drink.
"What do you mean? You like him don't you?" Eliza waits for my response.
"Of course. He is everything I've ever wanted. He's honestly perfect. I guess that's why I'm scared to think about loving him. He almost seems too good to be true. I just don't want to get hurt. I'm riding this high with him and I'm afraid if I say it, I'll hit the ground."
"Olivia, I know it's scary putting yourself out there like that but I promise it's rewarding in the end. If everything is good right now it can only get better after you say it. I promise." Lindsey explains. Eliza nods her head in agreement. I feel more confident about opening up to Bob now. I think I do love him but the wall I put up because of my fear is getting in the way of entertaining the thought of being in love with him.
"But don't push yourself until you're ready. If you don't feel comfortable saying it right now then it's totally fine to wait. And if he says it first and you're still unsure then that's okay to. Just because he says it doesn't mean you have to. You say it when you are ready and know for certain." Eliza says.
"Definitely." Lindsey nods.
"You know I didn't think this would turn into love advice 101 but I needed it. So thanks, guys." I smile at them.
"Anytime, babe. Now let's get another round of margaritas!" She yells and alerts the bartender.
