17. To see an empire fall
Steve set his sister down as they reached the room where Bucky and Becca were being held. The mother knew something bad had happened. And the psychiatrist was responsible for it. But why. What was he after that he needed to get Bucky alone to achieve his goal. As the three jogged closer, they noticed the guards were laying on the ground. Mary checked their pulses as Sam and Steve entered the room. The rooms is still dark, red security lights are their only source of lighting as they flash on and off slowly.
"Help me." The psychiatrist groaned out, gaining the attention of the three. "Help." He groaned again, Steve walking over to him as Mary jogged beside her brother.
"Get up." Steve snaps harshly, roughly grabbing the doctor by his suit jacket, lifting him off the ground and pinning him against the wall. "Who are you? What do you want?" He snaps.
"To see an empire fall." The doctor snaps under his breath.
Mary's hazel eyes scan the surrounding room, her eyes widening when she sees her daughter, "Becca!" She exclaims, Steve dropping the doctor and following his sister.
"Mama!" Becca exclaims, "Th-The doctor! He triggered Papa!" She exclaims as Steve manages to get the door open to the cell, getting the cuffs off of his niece.
Mary wraps her arms around her daughter quickly, "What do you mean?"
"He knew Papa's trigger words. The words that trigger the Winter Solider." The daughter explains in a panic, "He hasn't left. We have to knock him out but he's ten times stronger as Winter, Mama."
"We'll do what we can, B." Steve reassures his niece as Sam walks out of the room. He barely dodges a punch Winter throws, surprising the family. Sam dodges again but Winter grips his throat, throwing Sam over his shoulder into the containment cell he was previously in.
"Mary, stay behind us. If we get him restrained maybe you can trigger Bucky to come back." Steve states as Winter turns towards the uncle and Becca. Mary's eyes widen as she jumps out of the way. She rushes over to Sam as Steve lands a punch on his brother, backing away quickly but Winter forcefully kicks him in the chest, sending him flying to the ground. The wife watches as her husband and brother fight, dodging and throwing punches at each other. Winter lands another kick on Steve's chest, pinning him against the elevator doors. Winter attempts to force Steve down the elevator shaft with his metal arm but Steve holds his own but gripping the metal hand, keeping it away from his chest with everything he has until Winter retracts his hand. Then forces it stronger against Steve, sending him down the elevator shaft.
"Steve, no!" Mary screams in fear. Winter turns to look over at Mary. He stalks towards her but Becca jumps from her corner, landing on his shoulders, wrapping her legs around her father. She flips them over onto the ground, Winter tries to pry Becca's legs apart. The young girl yells out in frustration as she fights against her father's strength.
"Papa, please!" Becca screams out as Sam begin to wakes beside Mary. Winter takes advantage of the girl's distracted nature and jumps onto his feet. He grabs the teenager by her arm, throwing her against a wall.
"Baby!" Mary screams, her eyes widening as Winter looks in her direction. Something in his mind clicks and he begins to walk over to her. Mary scrambles to her feet, her arms raised in surrender, "I wont fight you." She mumbles, looking at her husband, "James, please."
Winter pays no attention to her words as he grabs Mary roughly with his metal arm. The wife yelps out in pain. The Solider grimaces at her cry of pain, he quickly hits the pressure point on her neck. Knocking her unconscious. The last thing she remembers is Sam chasing after them as Winter lifts her into his arms.
When Mary awakens, she realizes she's being placed onto a helicopter. Her mind is foggy but she can make out the faces of her husband. She can hear the motor starting in the helicopter. Her eyes fully adjust when she sees her brother appear and jumps up to grabs the foot of the helicopter. He swings from it, trying to bring it down. His booted feet scrape against the landing pad as the copter continues to fly sideways. Mary watches her husband struggle to keep it in the air as Steve grabs onto the metal railing of the edge of the pad. One hand on the foot of the helicopter, the other holding the railing. Steve is the only thing keeping Winter from taking off with Mary as a captive. He yells out as he re-grips his hold on the railing of the pad. The brother is straining hard, using every muscle he has to hold them in place. Steve slowly begins to overpower the helicopter, lowering it as best he can.
Mary hesitates, seeing her brother begin to lose his grip. Her eyes scan where her husband is controlling the helicopter. The wife dives for the stick controlling the copter, making it dive back to the helipad. The blades of the copter nearly coming in contact with Steve as he dives out of the way. The tail of the copter spins, Steve ducks just in time to avoid it. Mary winces as she feels blood begin to drip from her head. Her body covered in dust. She looks over, seeing her brother lying on the helipad face down. Mary screams as Winter punches through the window, gripping onto Steve's throat as the copter begins to fall off the helipad.
Steve tries to steady himself as the helicopter goes down but it's no use. Mary looks down as she's pressed against the nearly shattered glass of her window. The glass being the barrier from her falling out of the helicopter. As they hit the water, Winter hits his head against the glass, knocking him out. Mary gasps for air when Steve pulls the three of them up for air, swimming towards shore.
Mary sits beside her husband as he slowly regains consciousness. Her hands tightly holding his flesh one. Bucky groans as he lifts his head slowly. The first thing the husband looks at is his metal arm between two metal plates. Locking his arm out of the way just in case when he woke up, he was still Winter.
"James?" Mary speaks softly. Her hazel eyes watch as her husband's head slowly turns to meet her.
"Mary.." He groans quietly.
"Hey, Cap! Baby B." Sam calls to the uncle and niece. The two were keeping watch over the sky, helicopters had been flying around since the escape. The two walk over, Becca's eyes widen as she sees her father and mother. A smile breaks onto her face as she goes over to her parents, but Steve loosely grabs her arm. Keeping her beside him.
"Uncle Steve.. It's Papa.." Becca mumbles.
"He could still be Winter." Steve reminds her, "Your Ma is only beside him because he never hurt her when he was attacking us."
Mary assesses her husband as he groans in pain again, "Where does it hurt?" She asks, her voice laced with concern.
"Mary, don't." Sam warns, ready to take action to get her away from Winter.
"Don't, what Sam?" Mary snaps, "I'm making sure my husband doesn't have any internal bleeding or concussions." She states harshly.
Becca hesitates, looking over at her Uncle Sam, "Mama's always been protective of Papa. And vise versa. That's why when he was Winter, he never hurt her. He knocked her out, but he never hurt her intentionally, unlike us."
Sam sighs, but nods slowly. "Why is that?" He asks.
"Because even as Winter, Papa still knew Mama was important to him." Becca states, looking back over at her parents.
Bucky winces as Mary places her delicate hand on his face. He leans into her touch, a small smile gracing his lips but vanishing just as quickly as it arrived. Mary smiles at her husband, their lips connecting ever so briefly as the other walk into the room.
The husband looks up, seeing his brother, "Steve." He grumbles out, the affects of Winter still linger in his mind but with his wife by his side, he feels normal almost.
"Which Bucky am I talking to?" Steve asks, just making sure it's his brother and not Winter.
"Your mom's name was Sarah." Bucky mutters, Mary tightens her hold on his flesh hand with her own small hands. Bucky breathes out a chuckle, "You used to wear newspapers in your shoes." He mutters, then looks at Mary, "Mary and I married on January first, 1945." He states, "I fell in love with her the day of your Mom's funeral. Counting the stars."
Mary's eyes begin to water as she smiles, tears falling from her face. She had been in contact with her husband several times since he left, but none were after a Winter episode. The wife didn't know if being Winter altered or erased his memory. But now she knew that it didn't.
Becca grins as Steve says, "Can't read that in a museum."
Sam raises an eyebrow, "Just like that, we're suppose to be cool?"
Bucky grimaces, looking away as he says, "What did i do?"
"Enough." Steve replies.
Bucky sighs in agony, "I knew this would happen. Everything Hydra put inside of me is still there. All he had to do was say the goddamn words." He states, Mary moves his hair from his face softly in attempt to comfort her husband.
"Who was he, Papa?"
"I don't know."
"People are dead. The bombing, the setup, the doctor did all that to get ten minutes with you. I need you to do better than "I don't know."" Steve states.
"Steve, back off." Mary retorts, "He's trying."
Bucky shakes his head, "It's alright, Mary.." He mutters, then begins to think. "He wanted to know about Siberia." Becca gasps as her father says this. She's the only person in the room who knows who her father was personally when he was under Hydra's control, "Where i was kept." Bucky adds, "He wanted to know exactly where."
Mary hesitates, "Why would he need to know that?" She asks.
"Because i'm not the only Winter Solider." Bucky replies solemnly as the rest of them widen their eyes in shock.
"Who were they?" Steve asks.
Bucky hesitates, looking up at his daughter, "They were the most elite death squad." He pauses, "Becca was being trained to join them. They had more kills than anyone in Hydra history, and that was before the serum."
"They all turn out like you?" Sam quips, his arms crossed.
"Worse." Bucky replies.
"The doctor, could he control them?" Steve asks.
"Enough.." Bucky responds.
"Said he wanted to see an empire fall." Mary remembers.
"With these guys, he could do it. They speak thirty languages, can hide in plain sight. Infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize. They could take a whole country down in one night, you'd never see them coming." Bucky responds, "They wanted Becca to the best of them."
Steve holds tightly to his niece as Sam walks over to him and Becca. Mary looks over at her husband, releasing his arm from the metal holding. The couple ignores the conversation going on in front of them as they look at each other.
"Did i hurt you?" Bucky asks quietly, his flesh hand moving to his wife's waist as they stand slowly.
Mary shakes her head, "No.. Winter knocked me out to keep me from hurting myself even." She explains.
"I hurt everyone else though." He grits out, her metal hand going to his head. He clenches his jaw in frustration, "I hurt our daughter, Mary. I hurt our baby girl."
Mary places her hands carefully on his cheeks, shaking her head, "You didn't. Winter did. And she's okay, a little shaken up, but aren't we all?"
Steve steps over to the couple, "We're staying here for the night. Sam and I need to make some calls to get help."
Mary nods slowly, "So we're just waiting until then?"
Steve nods, "Yeah, Sam and Becca are going to keep watch and i'm going to start on the calls." He states.
Bucky looks over at his brother, "Thank you." He states, "You don't have to do this."
Steve raises an eyebrow, "Of course i do. You're my brother." He states in reply, "We're in this til the end of the line."
Mary nods, smiling up at her husband and brother. The first time in nearly eighty years that the original trio is back together. "We're stopping this doctor." She agrees.
A little later the wife and husband sit on on their makeshift bed. Blankets and Steve's jacket used as a pillow for his sister. Mary hadn't been in such conditions since the second world war, when she was traveling with the Commandos.
"We haven't been alone like this since.."
"My apartment." Mary finishes her husband's thought. Smiling at him as she looks over at him. Giggling as he pulls her onto his lap. She moves hair from his eyes, "I like your hair like this."
Bucky gives her his famous lopsided grin as he looks at her, his arms wrapped around her waist, "Yeah? What about my hair back in our time."
Mary shrugs, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Both were good. But this hair makes you look rugged." She teases, her thoughts take a turn when she looks around her surroundings. Noticing that they're really alone for the first time in nearly three years.
"What have i missed?" The husband asks.
"Since we last spoke, so many things have changed. These Accords were made by the governments of the world. Tony and a few other Avengers signed them."
"You.. didn't i'm guessing."
The wife shakes her head, "No. I didn't. Neither did Steve or Sam. That's why we're in this mess, is because of those Accords."
"What caused the Accords to be made in the first place?"
"A lot of things. Basically the governments want to be able to choose where and when the Avengers go somewhere to aide people." Mary explains quietly.
"But that'll do more harm than good." Bucky comments, "What about Becca?"
"No, she didn't sign. She wasn't even told it was happening. She was in school when everything went down."
Bucky nods slowly, taking in the information his wife had given him. "How are you handling it all?" He asks cautiously. He wants to know how she's doing through all of this. They'd been apart for too long. He feels like every time they see each other, he has to play catch up.
"Not well." She replies, leaning into her husband's chest. His arms wrapping more around her, holding her close. "Tony signed them.. Nat signed as well. They've been my family for so long. Tony is my son." She mumbles, Bucky nods, knowing his wife sees her godson as her actual son, having helped raise him his whole life. "And then when you and Becca were taken.. Our baby girl was screaming for us to help her but none of us could. And the only person who could do something was Rhodey. And he just stood there. Watching them take her. Muzzle her."
Bucky nods, "It hurt so much to watch her be treated like that. I tried to get up but i couldn't."
"I know, the only person to blame for what they did to Becca is Rhodey." Mary mutters, "Muzzling her though, that was too far. She was scared. Terrified." She states, starting to get worked up. Bucky hesitates, holding her tightly. He hasn't had her be this emotional for a while. A long while. He's unsure of how to comfort her. "I just feel lost right now, everything is falling apart." She mumbles.
Bucky takes her chin in his flesh hand, "What about us?" He asks his wife.
"You, Becca and Steve are my only constant." Mary tells him, "Now that the world knows who i am, i'm not hiding anymore. And i'm not hiding Becca anymore, she deserves to have her friends call her by her real name. To know who she is, truly." She explains to Bucky. The husband smiles softly, nodding slightly.
"I love you, Mary."
"I love you too, James."
The husband and wife stare at each other for a few short minutes before giving into their emotions. Bucky cups his hand around Mary's head, cradling her as he crashes his lips onto hers feverishly. All of their emotions were high and out in the open. They didn't know what would happen after they confronted the other Winter Soldiers.
The couple had been apart for far too long. And they were making up for lost time as they lost themselves in each other. Hungry and devouring kisses turned over time into slow and gentle kisses. Relishing in the love that radiated from both of them as Bucky threw a blanket over their bodies. Taking every chance he had to show his wife the love he had. He worshiped his wife's body in those quiet moments. Taking in every crevice and curve of her body. It hadn't changed much since their last intimate moment together three years ago but he wanted to re remember every inch of Mary's body. Mary was doing the same, her hands running over her husband's arms and chest. Taking in the scars the littered his body and memorizing the new ones as well as the old.
The memories that had returned to Bucky about Mary over the years only increased his love for her. And Mary had never loved her husband more than in this moment between the two of them. Relearning what made her husband who he is as a person now.
Peter walked out of the elevator to his apartment, he was wracked with nerves when he saw the news at school. His friends were terrified for Becca. He knew she didn't deserve to be put in all of this mess with the governments. Especially not how she was being treated from what he saw over the news. The last time he had spoken with his girlfriend was over a week ago. Their last conversation was them talking about how things were going between the both of them. Peter talking about his patrols, how he missed Becca and how their friends were worried about her and her family.
As the teenager unlocked the front door, he greets his aunt and hoists his backpack over his shoulder, faking a grunt for show. "How was school today?" The aunt asks her nephew.
"It was okay. Not the same without Fia." He replies as he walks around the apartment, dropping his backpack on the chair in front of the dining table. "There's this crazy car parked outside." He states, the boy's eyes widening as he looks over at his aunt, who is seated on the couch with none other than his girlfriend's brother. Tony Stark.
"Oh, Mr Parker." Tony greets with a smirk on his face.
"Um.." Peter questions, pulling the ear buds out of his ears, letting them drop onto his shirt. He's shocked, nervous and awestruck all at the same time, "Wh- What- What're you doing- Hey! Um- um, uh, I'm Peter." The boy stutters
"Tony."
"What're- What- What are you doing here?" Peter asks, still awestruck and nervous as he crosses his arms.
"It's about time we met." Tony states plainly and Peter instantly pales. He knew it was only a matter of time before Tony found out about him and Becca dating. And with everything going on over in Berlin he was sure that he had found out. "You've been getting my emails, right?" Tony asks, and Peter regains the color in his face. Tony was lying.
"Yeah. Yeah.." Peter mutters in response, "Regarding the.."
"You didn't even tell me about the grant." May states quickly.
Peter nods nervously, "Right, about the grant."
"The September Foundation." Tony clarifies.
"Right." Peter nods in agreement. He had no idea why Tony Stark was in his living room lying about why he was here. But he knew it was important if the man himself came down to speak with him. So he continued to play along.
"Yeah. Remembered when you applied?" Tony asks, Peter nods as May freaks out beside Tony. Not understanding why her nephew never told her any of of this news until now. "I approved, so now we're in business."
"You didn't tell me anything. What's up with that? Did you and Sofia talk about this?" May asks, and Peter pales again. His eyes drift back to his girlfriend's brother. "You keeping secret from me now?"
"I just- I just know how much you love surprises. So i thought i'd let you know.." Peter trails off, then looks back over at Tony. He crosses his arms nervously, "Anyways, what did i apply for exactly?"
"That's what i'm here to hash out." Tony replies.
"Okay, okay. Hash- hash it out, okay." Peter continues to stutter.
"It's so hard for me to believe that she's someone's aunt." Tony sidetracks, motioning to May and peter cringes slightly.
May chuckles nervously, "Yeah, well, we come in all shapes and sizes, you know?" She responds and Peter eyes his aunt weirdly. Not understanding what's happening between the two adults in front of him.
"This walnut date loaf is exceptional." Tony continues and Peter catches on that he's flirting with his aunt. And he does not like it.
"Let me just stop you right there." Peter states protectively and Tony nods, "Is this grant got money involved or whatever? No?" He asks, bringing the subject back to the lie Tony was here for. The boy clasps his hands behind his back in curiosity.
"Yeah, it's pretty well funded."
"Yeah? Wow."
"Look who you're talking to." Tony states, then looks at May, "Can i have five minutes with him?" The aunt nods.
Soon the two men are in Peter and Becca's room. The boy nervously stands in front of Becca's bed as Tony locks the door and quickly walks over to the trash can, spitting out the date loaf he had been eating. "As walnut date loafs go, that wasn't bad." He reassures the boy. Tony looks around the room, seeing touches of his sister here and there. The bottom bunk being her bed, her hairbrush and other essential beauty supplies on her nightstand. His heart aches slightly when he sees pictures with fairy lights strung in the railings of her bunk. Pictures of them, their mom, Steve and many more. Along with other teenagers he hasn't met. When Tony walks around the room some more he comes across Peter's work table, "Whoa, what do we have here? Retro tech, huh?" He states slightly surprised, "Thrift store? Salvation Army?"
"Ah, the uh garbage actually-"
"You're a dumpster diver?"
"Yeah, but Fia doesn't like it when i do that.. Says i smell like garbage.." Peter mutters, scratching the back of his neck nervously.
"Fia? Becca you mean." Tony corrects the boy, "My sister."
"Yeah.. But I call her Fia." Peter replies quietly, "And i know who she really is, too. Mary Barnes and Bucky Barnes's daughter.." He says.
Tony nods slowly, "Good, alright. No secrets then."
"Anyway, look um.. i definitely did not apply for your grant-"
"Nah uh. Me first." Tony cuts the teenager off, holding up his pointer finger, instantly shutting the boy up.
"Okay.." Peter mumbles.
"Question of the rhetorical variety." Tony begins, holding up his phone as a hologram appears in front of them, showing video footage of Peter swinging through Queens as Spider Man, "That's you. Right?"
"Um, no. Whatdo- what do you mean?"
"Yeah." Tony flips his phone sideways. Another video of Peter as Spiderman plays, "Look at you go." He states, then whistles low as Peter in the video catches a van against a bus, "Wow! Nice catch. Three-thousand pounds, forty miles an hour. That's not easy." He states, shutting his phone off. "You got mad skills."
"That's uh- that's all on YouTube though, right?" Peter says, walking past Tony, "I mean, that's where you found that? Because you know that's all fake. All done on the computer."
"Mm-hmm." Tony mumbles.
"It's like that video. What is it?" Peter rambles.
"Yeah. Oh, you mean like those UFOs over Phoenix?" Tony asks as he grabs a pole from where he's standing.
"Exactly." Peter agrees, but his eyes widen when his and Becca's old suit fall from the hatch in the ceiling. He grabs the suits and puts them in his laundry basket quickly.
"Oh, what have we here?" Tony quips.
"Uh.. it's uh.." Peter fumbles to find words to say but he can't. His arms are crossed as he looks at Tony nervously, exhaling as Tony walks over to him.
"So. You're the Spider... Ling. Crime fighting spider. You're Spider-Boy?"
"Sp- Spiderman." Peter mumbles, "Fia chose it."
"Not in that onesie, you're not."
"It's not a onesie." Peter defends the outfit he and Becca made together after they had managed to get his senses under control, "I don't believe this.." He mumbles as he walks back over to his work desk, "I was actually having a really good day today, Mr. Stark. Didn't miss this train, this perfectly good DVD player was just sitting there.. and-" Peter holds a pencil in his hand, hitting it slightly against the tech he had been working on, "Algebra test, nailed it."
"Who else knows? Anybody?" Tony asks.
"Just Fia and Mary." Peter mutters in reply, looking up at Tony.
"Not your unusually attractive aunt?" Tony questions as he plays around with Peter's suit. Sitting down in the chair beside the closet.
"No? No, no! If she knew, she would freak out. And when she freaks out, i freak out-"
"You know what i think is really cool? This webbing." Tony states, holding up a small vile of Peter's web fluid. Tony throws it as Peter catches it without even looking over in his direction. "That tensile strength is off the charts. Who manufactured that?" Tony asks as Peter fiddles with the small vile in his hand.
"I did. But it was Fia's idea. I wouldn't be who i am today without her." Peter replies, smiling slightly when he talks about his girlfriend. He throws his vile of web fluid back into the laundry basket, hitting Becca's clothes hanging in the closet on it's way into the basket.
"Climbing on walls, how you doing that? Adhesive gloves?"
"It's a long story. I was-"
"Lordy!" Tony exclaims, holding up the goggles attached to Peter's mask, "Can you even see in these?"
"Yes!"
"Oh, i'm blind!" Tony holds up the goggles to his own eyes.
"Yes i can!" Peter exclaims as he swipes his suit from Tony's hands, "I can see in those, okay? It's just that when whatever happened, happened it's like my senses have been dialed to an eleven. There's way too much input, so they just kinda help me focus."
"You're in dire need of an upgrade. Systemic, top to bottom, hundred-point restoration. That's why i'm here." Tony states, Peter then sits on Becca's bed, the smell of her sheets hitting his senses instantly. Causing the boy to relax a bit. "Why you doing this? I gotta know, what's your MO. What gets you out of that top bunk in the morning?"
"Because.." Peter starts, but stammers trying to find the right words. What he really wants to tell Tony is that it's Becca that gets him out of bed. His love for her. And his drive to make his Uncle proud of who he is today. "Because i've been me my whole life, and i've had these powers for eight months."
"Mmm."
"I read books, i build computers. I hang out with Fia and our friends. And yeah.. i would love to play football, but i couldn't then, so i shouldn't now."
"Sure, because you're different."
"Exactly, but i can't tell anyone that, so i'm not." Peter hesitates, looking down at Becca's sheets, then up at the pictures she had hung in the railing with the fairy lights MJ had given her. "When you do the things that i can, but you don't. And then the bad things happen.." He trails off, remembering when Sinclair had controlled Becca and made her kill Uncle Ben. When he felt useless as he watched it all happen despite his powers. "They happen because of you."
Tony nods slowly, understanding a little better now, "So you wanna look out for the little guy, you wanna do your part? Make the world a better place and all that, right?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just looking out for the little guy. That's what it is." Peter states, "Keeping those i love safe." He mumbles quieter. Tony stands from where he was sitting, walking over to where Peter is on Becca's bed.
"I'm gonna sit here, so you move the leg." Tony quips. Peter scoots over a little on the bed, looking over at the head of Becca's bed, seeing the stuffed Llama he won for her at the fair just a month ago. Tony exhales as he sits down, getting a better look at the pictures in the railings. Seeing one catch his eye more than most. His sister being kissed on the cheek by the boy beside him. The brightest smile he'd ever seen Becca have on her face. So much so, that her eyes were squeezed shut in happiness. The older man pats Peter on the shoulder. "Got a passport?"
"I- no. I don't even have a driver's license."
"You ever been to Germany?"
"No."
"Oh, you'll love it."
"I can't go to Germany!"
"Why?"
"Cause.. I got.. homework."
Tony groans, "I'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that." He states as he gets up from Becca's bed.
"No. I'm being serious. I can't just drop out of school."
"Might be a little dangerous. Better tell aunt hottie i'm taking you on a field trip." Tony quips as Peter jumps up, shooting a web at Tony's hand on the doorknob quickly, catching Tony by surprise.
Peter still stands with his arm outstretched and his fingers in his web motion. Two middle fingers pressed on the web dispatch. Just like Becca had given him the idea. "Don't tell Aunt May." He states sternly, his hand moving from his web position to pointing at Tony.
"Alright, Spiderman." Tony states, causing pride to swell in the boy's chest, then he quips, "Get me out of this."
"Right, sorry. I'll get the knife." Peter states, walking over to Becca's nightstand. Opening the top drawer and pulling one of her knives out.
Tony chuckles, "She keeps knives in her drawers?" He asks curiously.
Peter chuckles nodding as he flips open the blade. "She likes having them near by." He says, his heart hurting when he sees her handcuffs that she uses to keep herself chained to her bed at night. "Says they make her feel in control."
Tony nods slowly, "You dating my sister, kid?" He asks, motioning to the picture of the two teenagers hanging above her bed.
Peter pales as he cuts open his webbing on Tony's hand, "I- Uh.. Yes.."
"How long?"
"Nearly five months."
"You love her?"
"With everything that i am."
"Good. Because if you hurt her. I will kidnap you and send you to an unknown location and you will never come back." Tony threatens the boy, somewhat playfully but also dead serious.
Peter nervously chuckles under her breath, then hesitates, "Do- Have you seen her recently? Is she okay? She hasn't contacted me in a week which isn't like her, and the news is saying a bunch of things."
"That's why i need you. Do get her back." Tony states plainly, "She's going to be in a lot of trouble and probably get hurt if we don't get her back."
"Then i'm in with whatever we have to do." Peter tells him. His protectiveness kicking in tenfold when he hears that Becca could be in danger.
If you want to know more about what happened between Becca and Peter then check out Becca's book titled, Fearless. Part one is already complete and i'm working on part two currently.
This chapter instead of 2.5k or 3k like normal, it ended up being almost 5.5k. I really wanted to add Peter and Tony meeting despite neither of my girls being present there. But i made sure Becca felt present in there hopefully.
