Everyone told them they would never stay together. Everyone told them they weren't a good match. Everyone told them their relationship was pointless.

Every single person Kellin and Vic came in contact with said their relationship was toxic. They didn't believe that their love was true. Didn't believe that either would lie down calmly and take a bullet straight through the heart for the other.

Everyone thought they were doomed from the start, destined to have only a couple of months full of bliss before they drifted apart like a tree and it's leaves. They didn't, they couldn't, see the adoration in their eyes when they met.

And just to make it all worse they couldn't see the reason behind two men being together. Their town was small and besides one girl, no one had came in contact with a same sex couple.

They were against it. Against it so much that rocks were throw at windows and nasty words were spray painted on locker doors. Kellin was beat up in closed corridors and Vic faced the same fate behind the closed doors of his own house.

There wasn't a day that went by that they weren't bombarded with questions. Constantly asked why, why they were attracted to someone with the same DNA type, why they stayed quietly in the background, and why they both seemed so sad.

That's another thing, no one knew why their faces were filled with nothing but depression and hurt puppy dog looks. They all thought it was the relationship. That Vic wasn't good for Kellin, and Kellin wasn't good for Vic. They thought they were their own causes of pain.
